- Hello!
Here's the ride review by CK of the all new Himalayan 450. CK shares his thoughts on what he liked the most and also shares his dislikes. He also shares his final ratings for this motorcycle. Hope you enjoy watching as much as we enjoyed riding.
And, a video of my H450 ownership is already in the works. Hope to have it done and published sometime this month 2nd half.
Cheers!

I dont care about RE as a long time user of Japanese bikes, but kudos to them for the machine. As a domestic manufacturer, it will bite a big chunk from both sides of the spectrum - those smaller 300 cc and the larger 650+ cc ADV bikes are now redundant. Those who fail to innovate and compete will perish.
👍
Which bike do you have ?
Still I don't think that this is a high quality engine. They just managed somehow...
Honda shine.
@@Terminator-to3lpRE is recently producing more high quality engines than any other manufacturers in the world
Royal Enfield has done an exceptional machine considering the pricing
RE really listened to the people opinion!
Nice review sir.!
Well said!
Sir one youtuber just raved this bike with full throttle and bike just break dawn never start again..what will be reason
Trust me whole time i was smiling while watching you both talking about this bike and it’s like if i want my biker friendship goals in life would be like u both with this kind of chemistry and respect for each other….
🙌
and congratulations on reaching 100k. its amazing to see you grow from the 1.5k subs when i first subbed to your channel. 🎉
Thank you so much!! 🙇♂️🙇♂️🙇♂️
Great review! You covered a lot of points here. I hope to see more points being covered as you clock more kilometres. I will be checking here often for more videos on this bike.
Thanks. Welcome.
What an enjoyable conversation. Loved every word, every gesture and every angle. Thanks folks, you guys make biking livelier
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks.
Excellent review as always, Bosky with CK. Superb content coupled with mischief and fun without the 'heaviness' of technical jargon makes it fun to watch. Both of you guys have the impishness in you. Boksy does justice to the song, 'Dil toh baccha hai ji, thoda kaccha hai ji,' especially when relating to his opening comments. Way to go, Sir. Love the sense of humour of u guys.
Thanks. Don't take everything too seriously. That's the policy. 🙏
One of the best ever real world reviews Bosky and CK. Highly informative covering almost all the aspects. I am happy with my decision to pre-book the Himalayan 450 on 7th Nov itself. This review further boosted my confidence. But I'm envious that Bosky got the delivery and I'm still waiting. 🤣🤣
Congrats!
Hey guys I'm in the states and I have found you a true value , im really looking forward to my first motorcycle.
Best wishes.
Hey Bosky…amazing editing skills And yes a big thank you for calling me over. Thoroughly enjoyed doing this video and watching it as well. Looking forward for more❤❤
Any time!
i love your humour, it matches my English mannerisms 🙂 - funny, dry, informative and this is the 1st i hear about the clutch lever - so many out there and no mention i have seen so far, thankyou
Glad you enjoyed it! 🙏
Great real world review guys, lots of fun watching you have fun but very informative at the same time. A big departure from a lot of reviews that just consist of a talking head quoting stats! Can’t wait to take delivery here in Australia.
Glad you enjoyed it! Good luck.
Aha! Was waiting for this Tango-Charlie version of the review 😁 Awesome as always!
Hope you enjoyed it!
This review is so refreshing! a conversation between two knowledgeable riders and friends! Hope to visit Big bear someday to have a chat with you Bosky!
I hope so too!
In the world of speedo console and silencer sounds review, you have managed to deliver an actual handling experience virtually....
Kuddos to the efforts.
❤❤
🙏👍
The clutch and gear box 😍😍😍!! I rode the first interceptor version and thought RE is definitely doing the right thing… but this bike’s clutch and gear absolutely amazing job ….!
I totally agree!
Great to see someone closer to my age enjoying themselves, I'm 58 by the way! Carry on Riders!
Right on! 👍
Nice review gentlemen, I do feel a difference on the full tank on my Kawasaki Versys x300 (also 17 liters of fuel). Impressive motorcycle/ partner.
Thanks. This has impressed us thus far.
Enjoyed this interactive review. Awaiting for your indepth comparisons ❤
Coming soon! Thanks.
Really I'm also glad to see how RE evolved♥️🔥
👍
It's an amazing review.. unlike others review it.. they just say the features and tech specs which is already printed everywhere..
But .. your talk technically .. is at the next level.. makes it more easy to decide whether to go for it or not..
Bosky.. ( i don't know your actual name) day after day.. i have become a fan of your technical knowledge on the motorcycle and Of course your English..
Why i said ENGLISH is... Very rarely i get to hear good grammatical English.. Many learned people make silly mistakes while they talk with the flow..
Good one 👍👍
Many thanks for the kind words. Cheers!
As usual thanks for reviewing this bike. Already booked one.
Hope you enjoy it!
What a gentlemen you guys are by sharing your partners for a ride and shots !!! & parting away after 9 months !! & taking delivery of new ones !!! What a wild men you are 😂😂😂 I envy you guys!! Beautiful machines and great work 👌👌👌

Nice Review Bosky & CK as always , banter, humor , free flow , loved the whole episode. Also booked scrambler 400x and Himalayan locking 10K each. Now awaiting decent test ride from both to decide.Look forward to comparo of the above.
Well done.
Very nice interactive video Bosky and CK... Keep posting... Cheers...🍻
Thanks, will do!
Excellent review!!
It’s always turn a Marvellous Beast whatever RE creates, setting bars evey time.
Thanks.
Nice video gentlemen. Waiting for the adv comparo and the rally edition/kit.

Great review 😊, I have meteor350 which is just 7 months old. due to bit adventure DNA I have ,now I am seriously considering of getting this beautiful adventurer❤
🙌
Personally, I also think that this model will be incredibly successful, the bike brings together the most important points in the adventure, it has a good price, the maintenance intervals are the best there is, the Royal has a very good sense of general balance, it is not simply a 450cc made to ride at high revs or as a competition motorcycle, the
The engine really has a great balance👍 It can be used comfortably and can also be used for fun, however I don't think they should give up on developing long-stroke air/oil-cooled concept engines. That's why I would like to add another motorcycle to your comparison, why don't you add the Mash XRide Trail to the comparison, it is a Dual Sport Classic motorcycle, it uses an Air\Oil Cooled engine and is 650cc, it delivers the same power as the Royal but it has more torque, the prices of the bikes are similar, it would be interesting to know to what extent a Classic DualSport can be as much or more fun than more modern bikes and at the same time it can make Royal Enfield see how it should not give up on its Air-cooled models .
Hello. Thanks for the comment. Haven't heard of Mash. Will look it up. Regards.
I am an interceptor owner , I love the bike , however I miss offroader. I am looking for a eudro-tourer and RE has pushed the game forward, I am looking forward to the new KTM Rally 390 and Xpulse 420 as well. As a customer I have 3 solid options to choose from.
Best of luck!
@@bigbearbangalore @uthkarshnail6608 Is Xpluse really on the table ? Not seeing much updates though. Love to hear more abt xPulse actually.

Really enjoyed these two guys …. Very entertaining
Glad you enjoyed it.
Tempted to take a test ride of this bike. I am not into adventure bikes, but i want to give this one a chance.
Try it.
Great stuff guys keep up the good work 👍 👍
Thanks! Will do!
Guys I just love the friendship between you guys !! ❤

Another great review gents. Like so many reviews I have watched no one has entered into a discussion about the standard tyres that come with the bike. What would they be rated as...50/50 or 70/30? How good are they?
Thanks. Am not so adept on this 00/00 split. Perhaps they are 60/40.
Awesome review as always .. 🎉
Thanks again!
Great sense of humour and nice background music 🎉❤
I can see headlight is not turning with handle so will it be an issue on turns during night ?
Thanks. I've had issue with that fixed headlight..
Sir u both r inspiration of all biker,,,and manufacturer,,, respect both u...❤❤❤
Thanks a ton. 🙏
My dream was to buy himalayan in 2019. But due to budget issues i wasn't able to buy it during that time.
As i improved in my carrier the himalayan parallely improved in all aspects. And finally today i got my bike delivered. Thanks to the universe which gave me a perfect gift.
Loved the way you both conversed in the video and was even more happier for owning this bike 😍
Congrats! Well done.
Great review indeed!! Look forward to your comparison between the Himalayan and the Scrambler 400x
Coming soon!
@bigbearbangalore my main concern if whether there are annoying vibrations beyond 105 kmph as most reviews suggest. Anyone would like to cruise between 100-120 if the road permits. Look forward to your response. Other that that I loved the bike when I tested it. Thanks
I meant vibrations for the scrambler. I loved the scrambler in all other aspects
@bigbearbangalore Hi there. Any video on your Scrambler 400x vs Himalayan expected soon? Would greatly help to decide if we plan to get just one of the two
That Chapati Dough Moment at 12:00, you guys are so funny and informative, excellent work.
Glad you enjoyed it.
hello Busky, great vid as ever.... 😃with you as a moto guru....can you please compare it to the kawasaki klr 650.....(should be a comparison between old and new tractors).....😃
I haven't yet had the privilege of riding the legendary KLR. Hope to someday.
Awesome discussion on this machine. Please discuss on heat dissipation also..
Will do
Ohhh!! You have booked 400x also. I got to know that now. Hoping for good number of videos on different experience and aftermarket (if any) videos will come.
Yes, soon.
Sir, your experience and your explanations just wow. Thank you for the Knowledge sharing.
So nice of you. Thanks.
sir your comparism of putting keys compare to putting it in a chapati dough was awsome!!!
🙌🙂
Looking forward for your comparison video.
👍
I have test ridden it and all I can say is it have some damn adrenaline pumping power and torque 🔥
I wish to own this beast but financial problems is a big barrier 🥲
Like I've seen it, ridden it, loved it, and with the short 10 minute test ride I even made a bond with it, but that big barrier is preventing me from owning this beast.
Gotta buy this once I passout of college and get a job. Till then it's a dream......
👍🙏
Why did this review is short.. Bosky & CK done well.. It's sitting at 9 average in all shops departments, even i test rode it. Am waiting for my kaza brown too.. Booked on opening day and don't know when i will get it in hyd.
Congrats!
Siddhartha lal is doing something right in his company!!! Great stuff
👍
Never ever missed to bring a smile on my face ❤

Great review! That side stand design though! Luggage won’t reduce lean sir, will actually add more lean and load to the side stand, and I am not sure how much load it can take. RE did it the way they did it to accommodate the main stand. It is unfortunate that I can’t even weld a small tube under the side stand to reduce the lean, there’s no room for it when the side stand is up. The side stand looks solid though, but I guess I would use the main stand more as a workaround. With every degree increase in lean angle, that cosine multiplier of bike weight shoots up big time, and luggage makes it worse. Just feels like RE was lazy to put enough resources into the side stand department and get it right!
Loaded with luggage the lean angle on side stand will reduce. I have experienced this.
मुझे लगता था कि सिर्फ Shumi ही इन्डिया के best motorcycle expert / journalist हे।
लेकिन Mr Bosky भी बोहोत ही अच्छे हे।
Love you two.
🙏🙏
Dil se bolte hai Shcumi and Boski ji.
You guys did say once that 'Light is Might', and the H450 is about a good 20kg heavier than the 390ADV, moreover KTM is going to come out shortly with the 400cc engine in it.... should be an interesting comparison. Shall look forward to it.
Indeed. And the weight can be carried in this fashion then we are kind of ok with the weight on paper. And yes, will be an interesting comparo against the new KTM.
Good job both.. you guys are like chady buddies.. awesome.. would love it 10x more if it was in Pakka Kannada (just a thought).. on the whole it was 💯
Thanks! 🙏
Pardon me for my audacity. You both are naughty bums. Just love the way you infuse humour into tech videos. Keep posting sir and ride safe 🙏

Awesome Sirji... happy for you

Best review till sir,great work
Glad you liked it!
Very practical conversation.
With 400 watts alternator this bike can handle the Fyrlyt Nemesis 9000 light setup 😊.
🙏👍
I just got a Yezdi Adventure so I'll buy maybe the second or third iteration of this amazing motorcycle.

Screenplay is good 😂. Editing is a bit choppy. 😁
But humourous and great video all together.
Thanks. Editor is fired!!!
Royal Enfield bought 650 twins
Replaced J1 series engine in 350cc lineups which were already up in the sales
And now the Himalayan
There is this improvement which RE is having which cannot be compared to the RE pre 2018
Yes, that's right.
This channel is gold standard for motorbike review.
Bosky saar, Do you recommend this over 390 adv x ? Which is priced similarly while being 20kg lighter with 3 extra horses.
Tough question to answer. Weight and top end power is where the 390A excels. I'll need to ride them back to back to know more. Stay tuned.
@@bigbearbangalore thank you very much. Waiting for your comparison video on 390 /310/ 450/scr 400x.
My personal view is RE has priced it 20K more than what it should have been. I noticed few early adopters are sitting on the fence due to price. I took back to back test ride of Himalayan, yezdi adv and 390adv (very short, within the City ) . Somehow I felt H450 is a better packaged yezdi adventure and nothing more.(apologies for my harsh views) . in all likelihood RE may not hike the price post 31st December.
Great review. Just one missing bit, please throw some light on heat management in Bangalore traffic. Does it tend to go down post run in period? Not able to test this 10min test drive given at dealerships😢
It will throw heat. Especially in summer.
btw bosky is matching the color of his bike to the cap!! very nice🤣🤣
😀👍
I had this and scrambler 400x in my mind and you suggested to decide after riding them, somehow, I found this Himalayan to be top heavy (like really heavy) and absolutely not for cities and beginners!
Ok so now you make your choice.👍
Guys, just for the information, density of petrol is 720 g/l , so 17 litres weighs only 12.24 kgs
Thank you and will keep this in mind. ❤
Ok thanks for the data.
@@CowKora 🙏❤️
@@bigbearbangalore 🙏 most welcome sir , please keep doing this kind of reviews, time just flys while watching your videos.
In the ownership review, pls do touch on commuting - how easy it is to cut through traffic.
And how is it like to do different repair jobs on the bike. Like topping up coolant, Valve clearance, etc. Even just checking engine oil and coolant levels, believe its not very visible.
Ok.
Yes, commuting experience, it's up on my Insta already. And there is no basic user maintenance to bother with. Coolant level in reservoir is visible. Valve gaps once in 10k, 20k, 40k, 60k and so on.
Love your views, I'm thinking if we can make Himalayan Superleggera by removing the center stand, back, and front iron bars which can easily reduce another 3 to 5 kg
That's a great idea!
You can remove engine assembly and make it 70kgs lighter.
By removing seat you can make 2-3kgs lighter.
Remove swingarm and exhaust, it will be 70-80kgs lighter again.
Thats complete bike
Hey Bosky, one thing to note they have changed the Spark Plug from BOSCH to Champion Brand on Himalayan 450. Hope it adds to the better ignition of the engine.
Than the usual spark plugs are available in other RE models.😬
Am told it's an iridium maintenance free plug.
@@bigbearbangalore wow.... that's definitely an add up on the bike ....if they implemented on all upcoming models would be better ✌️
Nice review! How many days it took for ur booking to delivery ?

Great review ✌️
Thanks! 👍
As always a wonderful review sir..
you've almost flat foot while sitting, your height sir? Just to understand the reach
Thanks. Am 5'9"
Don’t wait for ninth month is a good idea in all risk aspects, but how you ensure that the H411 will go within 9th month?
The H450 did well in Suspension, ergonomics & braking but engine & build quality needs a re-look.

Bosky you can have my scrambler 400x if you want to review. I'm a sharing kinda guy. 😂
I have stopped seeing all reviews ever since I found your channel. Thank you.
Thanks! 🙂 I am getting mine soon.
I’m glad that the attendant at the petrol bunk has to hold the nozzle throughout, they had destroyed my 411’s sticker around the opening because they used to place it there. Over the years it became like a leopard print 😢
😀🙏
Waited for new himalayan for almost 2 years . I hope its worth waiting for few more days .

Waiting for the comparison and the upgrade you will do to the bike.
And in the video you mention the bike was from the UK not sure if it was for the video or true.
If it was a UK version why did I not Take the tubeless I think u know what I what I want to know
Designed in the UK.
Thanks . All the best. 👍
All the best.

Do you think the cyclone will effect the production of RE Himalayan and delay the pre booked deliveries?
I hope not.
I know triumph scrambler and Himalayan are in different segments but we're all still confused between them, so please do a comparison and which would be better overall or certain aspects.
Will do.
Appreciate your review in English guysz thanks for that 👍
Our pleasure!
What will you expect the price of Himalayan 450 after 31st December midnight of base model?
No idea. Anything from 10k to 20k up perhaps.

BTW nice review!!
That's the English name, Aladin. The Arabic name is Allaudin. 🙂
What a great way of conversation...hopefully everyone has good sense of humor 😂
Yes, rightly said.
We have. And we enjoy the time reviewing and chatting.
And it's OK if some don't enjoy the innuendo. There's no need tonnage everything too seriously. 🙂🙏
Sir i want to know should i wait for tubeless tyres or can it be given as accessory to this base model kaza brown as i am looking up for this one only
Its upto you. Tubeless spokes may take a few months to get to India due to pending certification. You can go for tubes and fit the tubeless spokes once they come here at additional cost. As per RE tubeless spokes are a direct fit on all tube models.
It should be available as an accessory. Don't know when.
Hi sir, how you'll rate Xpulse's suspension with this new Himalayan? Is Xpulse's suspension good compared with 450. Is it equally smooth if not better than 450. I'm planning to get Xpulse or 250 Adv .
It's not a comparison to make between a 157 kg and 197 kg motorcycle. Both do a great job on the respective motorcycle.
that... "i like it... i like it.." at 2:01 confirmed a lot of things sir... 😀
😀🙏
What is your opinion on as its side stand is lower will it be easier to straight it up when loaded with boxes
This side stand will help more when loaded.
How do you think now the Himalayan stacks up against KTM390 Adv X, since they are both in the same price bracket.. For a Tourer and once in a while off-roader, Im a bit confused.. please help
Differently engaging motorcycles. Ride them back to back to know more. And do this at least twice on different days.
One is easy and quick and the other is fast and engaging. Try them.
@Big Bear Customs....only one question ..which is ..i want to buy new bike..should i go wd RE Himalayan 450 or go wd Honda Honess....pls reply as im new in this segment of bikes
Dofdwrenr motorcycles. Quite different. If am presented with this choice, I'll pick the H450.
Please don't give up on 411😢, it's not just a disconnected machine.. it's a soul full of memory ❤, yes 452 can be pleasing. But 411 means the world to me ❣️🔥.
No offense man. But come to reality & practicality 😊✌🏼
@mkindiresh Time to wake up buddy
🙏🙏🙏
It was and it is still a garbage tractor
You're comment applied for 500cc Longstrokes with that oomph factor 500cc compared to 411, new 450 is way ahead. I know we carry emotions with our fav bike, but we have to accept reality and improvements.
I did the test ride of the new Himalayan took it on the highway for about 20kms. Had one thing that bugged me, the ride by wire has a slight lag in giving throttle which also lead to a bit of engine knocking at low speeds on the 2nd and 3rd gear. Did you guys face anything similar ( I have been riding the Dominar 400 and haven’t really ridden a ride by wire motorcycle before)
Yes there's a lag and I've shared the same in my first ride impressions video. And I've got used to it and learnt to work with it. About the knocking, perhaps you dropped the revs below 2500.
@@bigbearbangalore thanks for the prompt response. As someone who is ready to receive on of the first deliveries in Delhi (according to the pre bookings) and intend to leave almost immediately (post the first service) for North-East for around 4 months. Is this a dealbreaker to pick up the first batch?
Would be interesting to compare the new RE Himalayan with the Honda CB500X/NX500 too.
Would be.
New subscriber here. Really good content from you sir. I test rode both the interceptor and the himalayan, ended up chosing the interceptor. Im really not sure why. Apart from flickability, will i lose out on the acceleration? Im not able to say as interceptor feels great on a straight line. Also any suggestions from you sir for the numbness in the groin after 40 45 minutes on the interceptor with the old seat?
Hello. Good to test ride and choose.
Am no expert on groin matters. 😀 But perhaps you were sitting too close to the tank.
@@bigbearbangalore 😀😀
I have an interceptor. More than soft foam, its the plastic base that lets already soft foam to sink in further. I bought Sahara custome seat with metal base and handed foam. I can continue next day even after 600 km/8 hrs trips.
@@intercepted661 Thanks for replying!! I'm getting the deluxe touring seat. Comfort is fine if I take some stops, but the numbness is worrying me more. I will try the Sahara seats if this touring seat doesn't work either.
Hi! In your opinion, how does this fair against the KTM Adventure 390? In terms of a single bike garage, which would you say is a better bang for your buck with overall performance, ride quality and ergonomics?
Depends on riding style and weight preference.
I think RE has ticked all the boxes for a 450cc adventure touring bike, built for a purpose out of the box with acceptable power and suspension. We have had some bike reviewers from Australia test the bike and they were impressed. Low seat height and big tank with approx 450 km range. Other manufacturers need to take note on what they are not making for the market that needs 450cc adventure touring bikes.
Well said. Thanks.
