I was not expecting to be so moved by a movie so absurd.
As one of your most loyal heterosexual fans I just want to confess that I got a little misty watching Nick getting emotional about this picture. It is now at the top of my must watch list.
it might be the best film i’ve ever seen. see it before it’s out of theaters.
Joseph makes me laugh so much! His facial expressions next to Nick's enthusiasm
When Nick gave this movie 5 stars I thought it would be either very pretentious or the best movie I've ever seen and it was definitely one of the best movies I've ever seen. The fight scenes were so hilarious and ridiculous it reminded me of Scott Pilgrim vs the world and the serious touching scenes made me cry. I have a gay daughter and also a strained relationship with my mom who I haven't spoken to in almost ten years so it definitely made me very emotional. I love Michelle Yeoh in anything she's in and this was a great movie.
❤️
I loved this movie !
The best time I've had at a movie in so long. I was laughing and crying my ass off the whole time.
I love that Nick loved the movie so much, his sweatshirt merged with the green screen.
I'm super excited to see any movie that earned a 5/5!
I took my mom to see this, not knowing much about it going in, just that it was getting a lot of press and rave reviews. I was in tears for a good chunk of the movie, and it made me understand my mom better. Such a gift, this movie. ♥️
Watched this last night for the first time and 😍… tears were running down my face on and off through out! The depth of this story and all it’s beautiful insanity gave me a sense of hope. So much laughter….tears…understanding…I found myself holding my partners hand for comfort. What a ride! I came right to your channel to finally watch your review. So pleased you felt very similar 💛
Only JUST got to see this in Australia. Disintegrated the walls I have around my emotions and had me crying like a baby within an hour. Absolutely beautiful.
This review is what brought me into the Fish Jelly Universe, and been a loyal subscriber ever sense! Curious to know if you’ve seen EEAAO yet Joseph, and if so, what you thought!
Yes, I have. I thought it was excellent.
Wow didn’t expect the 5/5 if i was already hyped back then, I’m even more now!
It’s always feels a different way when someone falls in love with a film and thank you for shining it here!
Original, weird, funny, emotional, and quality. I was hyped for this but your review pushes this one to the top of my queue! Wonderful review for a film that sounds like a true joy. Thanks, Nick & Joseph!
Finally able to watch it and damn, this was like nothing I've seen before. Absurdly odd, funny, and heartwarming. I love it and will own it when available. It made me feel so much, and that's the best praise for a film I can give.
Okay, I trust you Nick. I’ll watch.😏✌🏾
Your dynamic is always the best. 😂 Loved seeing Nick so moved by a movie. Love the podcast too, btw! Thanks for another great one!
🙏🏽
Michelle Yeoh is an ICON! I will see anything she is apart of. If it’s martial arts even better.
Then make sure you watch "Gunpowder Milkshake" ... she is terrific!
@@zethraelofteldrassil3149 Already watched it and yes it was! All star cast and beautiful visuals and fight scenes were hardcore.
I’d like to see a follow up where Joseph a has seen the movie and gives a review. This movie is bonkers and incredible in ways no movie has ever been and may never be again.
I talked about it on the last podcast.
@@fishjellyfilmreviews this is my 1st time seeing y'all. I thought you had said in this one you hadn't seen it yet. I'll check it out.
@@fishjellyfilmreviews which podcast? I'd like to hear your thoughts too!
@@fishjellyfilmreviews what’s the title/number of that particular episode? I went through the whole library and nothing says Everything Everywhere All At Once. So I don’t know which episode contains this 😉
@@simplyrowen April 10
I can't remember if I commented on this video before, because I've seen sooo many reviews of this movie, so this may be a repeat but I too love this movie so much! It's in my top 4 movies of all time!
Well well well, I asked and I shall receive...thank you Nick....this was a treat to see you so excited! I can't wait to experience this film.
I just saw this a few hours ago and it's already my front runner for Best of the Year. I would never have expected something as wild as this to be so emotional but it got me good. I generally try to approach movies with a lot of hype with caution so I don't get disappointed but this 100% lived up to the hype. Incredible. Glad to see you give it a 5/5! Great review as always!
The rocks made me cry.
Baby, I cried and cried. One of the most beautiful things I've seen in this sad, sad life. Thank you.
Masterpiece. It's called a Multiverse btw.
So many moving parts that work together effortlessly.
Jamie Lee Curtis had me on the floor.
Omg. You guys had actually reviewed this movie (I had requested it on a different video). I went through your video gallery and I couldn’t find it. So I was under the impression that you hadn’t.
I only just saw this last night, and I knew I had to see your reaction. I cried at Nick being so moved! 5/5 FOR SURE.
This movie is everything and it’s amazing
There is nothing else in the world like this film. It truly stands alone it is visually epic there’s no need to take LSD or any drug when you watch this film this film is a trip quite literally in every way very good one by the way.
Hotdog fingers was so ridiculous and so wonderful!!
Sailed over my head. Kept waiting for it to get to the point but it never did
Then you didn't pay much attention to the movie
@@BiancaMH Very true. I love Michelle Yeoh too. Maybe I need somebody to explain it to me . . .
haven’t been a subscriber long and was also curious about the no 5 stars (which i think is great that you’re more selective about that) so glad to see you loved it as much as i did
5/5?? A definite Must See for me! Nick, you look absolutely charming! And, Joseph, handsome as ever!
I was going to say I am looking forward to this movie and then you threw your score out, wow. How exciting. And thank you for the review, as always.
I love the way you two interact- thank you for your videos! They are informative and fun 💙💙
Liked the title of the movie! Sounds like a crazy ride! Bonjour Nick! Looking good! Joseph is so cute giving pointers to Nick so that he doesnt go everything everywhere all at once!
One of the best movies of not only in 2022, but of this decade. Periodt!
Sold on watching this movie and moving it to the top of my list! Another stellar review once again, thank you both!
This movie is 5/5! Hot dog hands down!
I love this series, I'm just binging all the reviews and was ecstatic when I saw you guys reviewed this movie. I felt just like Nick, although less succinct with the description. Very poignant and beautiful.
Hi guys I’m a new subscriber and I just had to comment. I agree wholeheartedly on this movie. It was so fun and silly but poignant and deep at other moments. Such an enjoyable and entertaining experience. I just made my boyfriend watch it because I thought he might enjoy the fight scenes (which were amazing!) but he fell asleep, it was long lol😂 But I did love it and am so excited for more groundbreaking cinema in the future like this. Fingers crossed 😊❤🙌
I love hearing you talk about this movie. It was an experience. Really meant for the big screen. Yes 5 out of 5. Set the bar Nick❤
You describe the movie so well!! I really want to watch it again. Its definitely a crazy movie that not everyone will like, but i think its a very unique, masterpiece in a way. I mean, how in the world did all these moving parts come together? I find it simply amazing and it makes you think and reflect about your own life too. I think Michelle Yeoh and Ke Huy Quan were excellent in this.
Once again, Nice outfit Nick! Plus, I love how enthused you are about this movie.
Excellent review... Great insight by Nick.
I can't wait to watch this, it sounds wonderfully absurd; right up my alley! 🤣. Thanks again guys! ❤️
5/5 🎯 i agree! just watched and i'm still processing... but what i do know is it was so good.
I agree that this was a transportive cinematic experience. I’m glad I waited to watch it when I did because I really needed the message right now.
1 word for Nick after this review; SOLD. This sounds so good, can’t wait. Joseph, I think Nick also described “The Last Picture Show” as a perfect movie 5/5.
Love ya; keep ‘em comin’ 😉🤗.
That's right!
@@fishjellyfilmreviews And Joseph gave Do The Right Thing 5/5
Your memory is better than mine.
I like the part(s) Joseph takes time to 'question' situations. Like, on vague scenes/character's and their motivation for doing/saying what they did. The "I did like" and the "what I didn't" segment makes it different in review. I feel that because, imagine how the casual viewer would ? By the way, a terribly minor correction, Michelle Yeoh's name - it's "Yeo(h)" like yo - you said it at 10:20! :)
Love the channel and your take on movies. First 5/5 I've seen from you guys 😬 could you guys find and talk about "Dinner in America"? I'd love to hear what you guys think of it 🙂
We’ll have to check it out.
I wish I could pull off that hat like you bro 😭 lemme borrow some swagger g lol💯
so excited!! to see this!!!
I have tickets to see it next Wednesday 3.30.22 in Imax in Lynnwood wa, its the first day its playing here in Washington state.
Wow, I've never heard of this movie prior to watching this video but this is now my #1 must-see movie. I can't wait!!
Just watched it. Miraculous in so many ways!! If Michelle Yeoh doesn't win the Oscar then I know nothing at all.
As a comic book and super hero fan the Multiverse concept requires little explanation... I'm glad the story is interesting. This sounds like a mix of the movie Kung Fu Hustle, This is us, and any comic multiverse storyline. I'm here for it.
This was a great ride. Maybe just a *smidge* long, but that's a small nitpick. Definitely recommended!
I saw this 3x in the theater, at the premier i went to it was in imax and half the theater was crying. 10 out of 10 on my all time best list.
I saw it late so only got to see it once in theater but I wish I had seen it more times
I love Michelle Yeoh so much! Nick, I already wanted to see this, and your excitement and of course score makes me know I HAVE to watch this!
One of the best films I’ve seen in years .
Just watched a second time and loved it! Didn’t like it on the first try.
Ok did anyone notice the carpal tunnel brace on Diedra’s foot in the sausage finger universe since she was wearing a brace on her left hand in the regular universe? That took me out 😂
I have seen this one! This low-key reminded me of the movie 1998 movie THE ONE which I believe stared Jet li... but either way that was also a good movie about the multiverse and fighting different versions of themselves.
Just getting started and I already want to watch it, as a former yoga teacher, etc., I can appreciate the plot line ….
I totally agree with you nick this movie was beautiful and hilarious and emotional in every possible way!!!
Think I know one of the movies that will be on Nick's best of the yearrr
Thankful we aren’t alone in our interests!
So I’m sure Joseph eventually saw the movie. What did you think big guy?
Great channel. Yeoh's character is actually the weakest and worst version of all of them, which allows her to do what she does. I LOVE this effing movie...
I watched it today n yes. 5/5. My #2 movie of all time is swiss army man so i had to watch this immediately once released in Singapore. N yes. Im puttin this my #3 movie of all time. I freaking how how trippy messy and just chaotic art. P.s my #1 is Her with Scarlett Johansson.
By far my favorite movie of 2022. Everything Everywhere All at Once is just a masterpiece. Great review for the movie. I'm so glad it dominated in the Oscars 💙 🙌🏾
"there's a scene with basically butt plugs." true. haha!
I also thought it was a perfect film
Here is a way I would describe the multiverse concept. You know how you have a TV or radio that is stationary but it is able to tune in remote locations. These universe all occupy the same space and time but the atoms that make up each universe vibrate at a different speed or frequency. If by some mechanism via device or our minds are able to change the frequency of our atoms then we would tune out of this universe and into another.
10/10 from me. Incredible, amazing film. Worth watching on a big screen with a crowd!
I L💕 VE this movie 💗
I cried (and laughed) the last 20 minutes.
It's Bonkers Creative and Amazing and I hope it wins all the awards 🥰🏆
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Sounds like a comedy to me! But interesting, maybe with elements of the OA series? Thanks.
I was a bucket of tears when I watched this movie it theaters
Movie was great. Silly, but the point at the end was well put together.
Absolutely love this movie ❤️
The movie is so incredible. A total roller coaster ride. I laughed and cried so much. Love the movie 🪨 👀😍
Somehow the rocks part is the part that made me almost cry. Especially when the mother rock with eyes tries to catch the rock daughter... God, this movie is something else. Really incredible.
You were looking for the word "timeline"? Lol
It was confused to understand it. But I get it at end. It was so cute and so good
100% agree! 5/5 perfect movie…idk if you you’ve ever seen this movie called, Science of Sleep, it has a very similar vibe to it and I think you’d really enjoy it Nick! Joseph, idk really how you liked EEAAO vs Nick but if you liked it then you’ll like this one too
Nick’s seen Science of Sleep and loved Michelle Gondry. Joseph watched EEAAO and also thought it was excellent.
@@fishjellyfilmreviews Yes, glad you've seen it Nick!! Michelle Gondry is a legend... I'm glad to hear Joseph liked EEAAO :) It definitely really excited me to see something so organic (effects-wise) with so much heart
Any chance you will review "the Andy Warhol Dairies" on Netflix?
It’s on our list, but we’ll probably just end up talking about it on the podcast.
I loved Swiss army man.
I agree. 5/5
So was this "sci-fi slum dog millionaire"....in which..the culmination of one person's life lessons, both horrible and triumphant, wins the big prize i.e. saves the universe?
I also loved this movie from start to finish it's genius 🙏😍🤩💪
I loved it, too! :)
I need to process what I just watched
Take your time.
@@fishjellyfilmreviews yes king! Will have to give this 2-3 more watches
Joseph i wamted to hear your opinion because i didn't love the film either
Hi, I'm a gay lesbian fan of your show. Would ya'll wanna do a movie review of The Picture of Dorian Gray made in 1946. It's a really good horror film & Angela Lansbury & Donna Reed are in it. I'm on the fence as to whether it's homophobic. I'm leaning towards it not being that bad but I could see why others might think it's homophobic. I'd love to hear your homosexual opinions. Gay Lesbianly Yours, a humble fan. :) lol
Exactly
Bored Joseph is funny.
Thanks for the Russo brothers for not directing this movie
This movie was brilliant and original. It also deals with the nihilism in much the same way Rick and Morty deals with the multiverse
Wow what a weird movie. I think I loved it but I’m not sure…Joseph u might should check it out?
I definitely will.
@@fishjellyfilmreviews Sounds like you saw it last night according to podcast. Thoughts?
This movie felt like a bootleg Matrix to me..
I loved this movie! As a supportive hetero mother of a queer child this movie SPOKE to me. Loved it!
I dont get why the other guy is there "reviewing" and why don't they both see a movie and review it and compare their thoughts and ideas.
It’s not about why. It’s the fact that I did.
@@fishjellyfilmreviews But what I'm saying it's more interesting when TWO people seen the movie so they can compare their thoughts together. Kind of strange when only one person saw it and the other person is just there for no reason really lol.
Joseph seems completely irritated with every thing Nick says.
This must be your first time watching one of our videos.
@@fishjellyfilmreviews Lmao! My 2nd. Too funny!
Man, am I some of the only ones who hated this movie?? I find it so overrated!! I watched it and was like...WTF! Jamie Lee was the best thing in this movie. Michelle was fine with her acting but the characters were so annoying! Adding ridiculous scenes which were silly and simply STUPID! Trust me, I can take weird but this was BAD! The Only reason I went to watch it is to support fellow Chinese!!! Nothing special AT ALL!!!
I wouldn't give it more than a 4 for trying.
Yes. Lol
Am I the only who didn’t care for this movie and found it average and way too long which made really boring
If you didn't see the movie, how you were viewing it. Sorry big L
But we did
