- This video teaches 'Ultimate 3 Card Monte.' In this trick, the spectator is asked to follow one red card which is mixed amongst two black cards; impossibly the cards seem to switch places. This trick is easy to do for magicians of a skill levels.

I first thought that these are the cards that Joe Monti used to fool Penn & Teller. He actually used giant cards but - as he ends the performance - Joe Monti showed all the three cards in full view and they are all normal, un-gimmicked cards.

Excellent! It is all about the performance. The hardest part about this kind of trick is the preparation. If you are at a party you will always have those who demand to examine the cards after the trick. When you refuse or distract them from their effort to examine them it all falls apart.
I believe that the best way to do this effect is while you are siting and you have a table infront of you so you can do a muck and change the gimmicked cards with a set of normal cards.But again as you said,the problem with this type effects is that the people always want after the trick to examine the cards.A good idea also is to have this set of cards pluged in a regular deck that you played a normal card game.You can show them the effect right after the game.So they have in their minds that the cards couldn't be gimmicks because you played a game before the effect.The worst thing is to carry this set of cards individually.
Nothing wrong with gaff cards bro.. just do a switch. Here's and easy one for you. You can have these in your deck. All you have to do is have normal cards ontop and 1 or 2 cards reversed on the bottom then these 3 cards on top of that. When you do the trick, take these 3 cards off and then set the deck down. Have the deck sitting upside down with the 1 or 2 reversed cards facing up while you perform. After the trick, sit the "gaffs" ontop of the deck and as you lift it, Nonchalantly turning the deck right side up. If they ask to see the cards just hand them the 3 normal cards off the top of the deck.

Is it necessary to display the 3 cards in diagonal first? I mean why would people suspect you have fake cards? I would argue that emphasizing this point might raise suspicion

Just got my cards today from Amazon ❤ I dont like the spread that you do it looks very odd to the spectator. Tight spread is fine. I would pull those three cards out of a full deck as a convincer. Thanks🎉😁

I'm of average intelligence, and I knew the cards were gimmicked, but your presentation was so smooth and fluid, I couldn't catch the gimmick. I'm buying, my 4 & 5 year old grand daughters will think I am a GOD!....

It is very possible, yes. I dont know if he has a video out, but there is a video / tutorial on you tube now. They use any 3 cards.

I think it is so much more natural to flip over the cards with the gimmicked pips closer to you and hiding them with your thumb. Rather than grabbing them from the end closer to the spectators. It just doesnt look natural.

Yeah that should be it, you can get them from most magic websites like penguin magic. You might want to check if the gimmick cards are bicycle's because it's much better to perform if the gimmick cards match your regular cards :) But yes, the one you described sounds right

I bought this online however I have the 3 of clubs gimmicked instead of the 2 of clubs? How do I do the trick now? Please Help.
Achintya Inumarty So I think I'm right in saying that your two of clubs is just a standard card and the three has one pip which is the ace pip right? If so, just do the trick as I said in the tutorial, but swap the two and the three around, so when i talk about the three, in your case you need to be using the two. Hope this clears t up :)
