Just installed the JBL at a small church and the clear and even sound they have amazed me. I have also installed the K12.2 and they sound great too but JBL takes first place in this one.
If you know how to dial the frequency cuts in for each one, i would give the jbl prx812w the slight edge. I was actually fairly impressed with the qsc cp12’s. Worked well as stage monitors for smaller to medium-ish sized events. Both the k12.2 and prx812w are good active speakers for the money, but not outstanding. Thanks for the vid.
I'm a mobile dj, who also is an audio engineer, mastering engineer. While the QSC is a fine speaker, MANY djs don't know how to eq them. They can be war bleeders. But when used correctly they are fantastic. I went with JBL but it was close
Totally agree! We can debate all day the difference between JBL and QSC, but it you turn knobs too far to the left or right it all goes out the window. I have head QSC K12.2 + KS112 system that sounded way better right next to a L-Acoustics SYVA System just because of the operators.
I haven't gotten a close listen to the PRX812s. I know historically I disliked JBL because they were way too harsh in the mids. I'm unsure if that was due to the operator, but it was that way in every venue I played in or went to in the 90s. How do these compare?
About to pick up 2 of the JBL812S to put on top of my PRX818 subs!!!

QSC IS THE KING IS THE BEST 12 inch powered speaker and by the way I have jbl prx also plus even Martin audio for the price QSC IS THE BEST PERIOD

I appreciate the videos truly, but I can read specs. Anyone who can hear well enough to be in the "biz", musicians and hopefully sound men, can tell the difference. Yea verily, even on youtube. ThNKA

Yes, JBL has been very constant over the years in my opinion. Great choice
prx is similar to qsc 12 but qsc is flashy and loud but quality is lacking. Turbosound IQ12 is better than both of them, and the world champion is JBL Srx 812p :-) there is no competition because EV Etx 12 are defective and have major faults.

I just got 2x EV Everse 12s after having 2x Everse 8s. The versatility and ability to battery power is epic. SPL might not be the same as these 12s (though 126 for battery powered is nothing to scoff at), the flexibility and water resistance in the EV is HUGE for potential outside events. It’s also in the same price range.

i tried EV bcoz after 9 years continues service my QSC needed servicing the Rental place said EV 12 was just as good but after i plugged up EV-12 not even in the same league as QSC K-12 sorry
@@WylieJ-bu2hm it’s the 12.2 cus the EV is 12.1 and is battery powered for portability, of course it’s not going to be on the same level..though I will say add a sub and EQ the EV with the app and you can get it to shine. I really like my 8s but feel like the 12s don’t hit the same sweet spot of potability and quality.
The qsc k12.2 is garbage compared just about anything. I have the original qsc k12 and it is so much louder then the 12.2’s it is laughable. They are clear but them had no output.
I do agree that "they don't make them like they use to" and that everyone is going to have their own opinion. Curious if you are only using these for yourself or used by multiple people vor various events?
@@Wouter.ErweeTech we tested them in my friends back yard. He has the k12.2’s. He was like wow my speakers are garbage. He will only use them in a pinch now.
The same with jbl. I have the prx 715 and it is 137 db, but the jbl srx 815 is only 133 or 132. It seems like they are putting more electronics in the speakers at the expense of the loud sound
I use RCF & FBT!!! ALL ITALIAN MADE.
RCF has always been one of the greats in my opinion and they have been doing a great job of marketing themselves in the US market. The Art series products are very impressive.
@Wouter.ErweeTech another good brand is kv2 audio. George krampera ( from kv2 audio) was the one who made the rcf ART series popular.
