- In the pursuit of going all LED, I install LED Tail lights from Zip Corvette, and run into parts compatibility issues. Also installed Sealed5 5x7 Morimoto LED Headlights. I finished out the interior the day before and am getting closer to the goal - a few more to go!

These cars are a lot of fun.
Such a great look!
Badass !
I did my headlights and interior also. Have a 96 as well. Now you got me ordering tail lights lol
Yo do you have any videos or pictures would like to see
The problem you're having with the bright lights and switching over is the middle wire on the connectors ground that out to the frame and you'll no longer have that problem
I did this exact same thing to my black 95... the reverse lights are easy and the front led fog lights are amazing and I changed out the 3rd brake light with a blacked out brake light... looks very cool
with my black paint...
Do you have a video to upload your car would like to see it
@JDeubel no Sir I do not but you can find me at mrdeanv1 at that G place and I will send you pics
That's a bad bitch!!! My favorite corvette of all time! I have a 92 but it's no grand sport! It's actually faster than a factory grand sport but nowhere near as cool!!
Did you fix the ground for the fog lights? I installed led headlights fog lights and a smoked 3rd led light. Under the passenger side is some relays you have to cut a wire to make the fog lights not want to kick on the high beams the only thing is the fog light will be on always with the headlights no matter high beam or low beam you are able to shut them off with the fog light switch. Hope that makes sense. At first I thought I needed to make it’s own ground I tried to ground it and all that did was make it really angry and the wire got hot so then I figured why not try cutting the wire and bingo it worked. The led headlights I put in are the Wagner led they were not cheap but I think they were pretty light weight. Car looks amazing I have done a few things to increase my HP on the lt4 motor and hole to do more. I still need to dyno run to see where I am on HP.
a Torx bit screwdriver worked for me
Yeah I’m lazy lol
Needs new fogs too
I kept the stock tail lights but I want to grab the European ones I just switch everything over to LED bulbs except for the front headlights I switched over to the new kit but far as the fog lights just put LED bulb in there they work really nicely look badass when the car is that the Twilight hour also the reverse lights put the the LED bulbs in there it makes it look badass when you back up also with the front turn signal I also did them with resistors so they work right also I wanted to tell you on your wheels do yourself a favor take those stock wheels off there and save them those wheels are so rare on the Grand Sport if you do anything to damage them it's really hard to find a replacement guys are asking crazy amounts of money just for one of them especially the two rear ones because they're not the same offset as a ZR1 they're a little bit different
Fog light covers look pretty new/clean, would you mind sending me some information on where you got them (that is if they are new).
They are factory as far as I know. Car has 42k miles.
if you install a led flasher will it mess with the flashing of non led lights?
Nope. It’s just a flasher that’s controlled electronically vs. mechanically, using digital circuitry vs. current draw.
EL21 ? I see a EL12? Or a TL12
Talking about the bulbs
Switch your power wires behind the headlights and the high beams light won’t come on anymore
Iiiiiiinteresting. The kit I got was a straight plug and play setup. Got any details on what wires to swap?
@@HoffmansHoopties mine had the plug and play but I switched motors so re did all of the wires. The black goes to black on it the yellow and the brown together and the red goes to the mixed color wire think it’s green and yellow. I accidentally had one plugged in the wrong spot and it did what yours is doing
@@HoffmansHoopties we’re you able to get that taken care of ?
Asthetics???? At least it is reversible.
The yellow stuff is there to reduce the chance of corrosion.
Those headlights are very hit and miss, and they look tacky as hell. Can get H4 semi-sealed units and put decent quality LEDs in those if you really must. Good quality halogen headlight bulbs work much better and provide a far more useful light output and better colour rendition.
They look brighter, but output a very narrow spectrum compared to halogens.
