Interesting, Achachairu originated in Bolivia, hangs around with kangaroos 🦘 and humongous spiders 🕷where it’s also mass produced and is now grown where there’s almost always a hurricane when you least suspect it. Got it.

That looks like a type of rambutan without the hairs on the shell. Interesting. I ate lots of rambutan in Costa Rica, where it's called "mamón chino" or Chinese sucker, and I don't have a clue why. In Guatemala they call it peluta, I just asked my Guatemalan buddy that's working with me. If that fruit in the video tastes like rambutan it's pretty good. They remind me of green grapes but firmer.

I was planing to plant a Achachairú because I already have few Mangosteen trees and I wanted to have a Achachairú but after tasting Achachairú I do not want to plant Achachairú anymore. For me mangosteen taste way better.
