- Sonic Battle is second and currently final Sonic fighting game Sega has made, and it’s fine enough. For what it is, I can see it being great, but due to being on the GBA, it’s got too many restrictions to reach that level of quality. If there was any Sonic game that I feel would benefit greatly from being remade, it’d be this one. Charriii’s video on it is… fine. Aside from a couple moments here and there, I don’t care too much about it.

I would like to formally revoke my complaints regarding pre-4Kids Tails voices. I would gladly listen to all of them before hearing Charriii's take on him. By the way, if you guys left a comment before the video premiered, then it's fine to leave another one afterwards. Just don't go crazy. Anyways, thoughts on a Sonic Battle remake?
A Sonic Battle Remake seems like a good idea for Sonic Team!
Also Charriii is disrespecting Tails and Amy with his horrible voice impressions of them.

Loved the video! Honestly the Tails voice actors in SA1/SA2, and now are the best ones in my opinion. I kinda hate the voice actor for him in Heroes. That's honestly not what I'd imagine Tails to sound like.

Sonic battle is underrated
I get you were half-joking when you criticized Charii's take on Tails, but him using his falsetto for Tails is a running joke on his channel (and might also be a nod to the OVA), which becomes apparent if you read the comments on his videos. Besides, it's about equally as grating as that weird alter-ego voice you do for some reason that sounds like you're choking on a wet sock. I mean no disrespect, it just seems a bit hypocritical and mean-spirited given Charri's a grown man just trying to enhance the story for viewers. I still did enjoy ur vid a lot.
I get that, but for me at least, there’s a point where so bad it’s good becomes so bad it’s bad.
I'd say the Eggman fight is harder, simply because he'll keep launching rockets that track before you spawn, which Charriii doesn't mention for some reason.

33:54 While yes, the power system of the FEB was indeed destroyed, rendering it temporarily inoperable, the FEB itself was, I believe, at least mostly intact, and therefore, with tinkering and a new power source of any type, but most universally agreeable a Chaos Emerald, it would still be usable again at some point. Which brings us to the other issue, which is Eggman’s tendency to create massive weapons of otherworldly power, easily capable of destroying the planet, which is the only thing he doesn’t want, and then having no backup plan preset just in case that would happen. Yes, it would be a bluff, maybe a very effective one, but one that would easily be overturned when people realise that he can’t actually use that bluff since he can’t fire at the planet non-lethally, which takes away most if not all of his leverage, and even just leaving him in space with a weapon he can’t use and no one to stop him is fine, since he can’t attack, and if he lowers or changes the capabilities of the weapon, then it would maybe not destroy the planet, but the leave him to have to choose a target, while leaving himself open to every other nation to attack while the target takes one for the team so to say, because surely there are capable armies, somewhere on the planet, there would have to be. And sure, you could just say that all of these weapons were all made for the purpose of both threats from above and to split the planet to free Dark Gaia, since Chaos Energy is what awakened Gaia, which sure, could be ,but that’s a retcon for past games where that isn’t explicitly the plan.
You have a point, but Sonic and co. took the Emeralds with them after Emerl died. He could probably steal them back, but like you said, aside from threatening the Earth, what would the point be.
@@tonysonic456 As we’ve seen, you can create copies of the Emeralds as well which have the same frequency but not as much infinite power, obviously Eggman would be able to create them, as he is definitively as smart as Tails, and as they are weaker without there being a finite amount of them due to being completely manmade, so he could just make as many fake emeralds as he needs. However, I believe he doesn’t because ’Chaos is the constant’, so regardless of his plans or capacity, he would also need the Emeralds specifically so it can’t be used against him, which is also why he makes these machines the way he does, so they can’t be used against him, no matter the fact it almost always backfires spectacularly. And I would suppose he would assume that a bluff is all that he would need, since he is a hyper-intelligent megalomaniac, it would be hard to know for sure if he would or would not do it at all. I’m also going to go out on a limb and assume that, as he IS that smart, that he would have put limiters and a power altering mechanism on his gigantic planet buster cannons inside of his egg shaped battleships, since that just seems like a completely awful design for a world-conqueror and not a world-destroyer, as that would make more sense as to why people would listen to the Eclipse Cannon, as it was made expressly to destroy the world by two different forces that both explicitly wanted the planet and its inhabitants dead, for all intents and purposes, so they definitely would not put a limiter on it, since that would definitely put a dampener on their plans, but Eggman doesn’t have that hatred or sadness, just greed, and greed doesn’t make that a good idea.

Ok, so, there's like 2 different hacks you can use as Emerl, ok ne where you use his base ground shot and then since it puts you in the air you use your air power, and as long as you're facing the opposite direction of the enemy, it'll work.
The other is using Rouge's Flight and using the Agent Eagle, just kicking them over and over until they die.
It's how I got through parts I was stuck on. So really Charriii's fight against the Phi's with Cream can easily be done, even if you're using BASE Emerl.
Binging these in reverse order at work was definitely a good idea.
Anyway, Emerl got shafted in the anime, especially the 4kids dub, couldnt even get his name right, what the hell

To be fair, if a line is said so much to the point where it's redundant and can't even be considered a catchphrase...it can count as a sin.
Also, this is the Sonic series's most iconic line? I'm sure there are more iconic lines than that, such as "Way past cool", "Aw yeah, this is happening", "Just a hedgehog who loves adventure", etc. If a line as generic as "Long time, no see" is the most iconic line in the Sonic series, then the same could be said for other series that overuse the phrase.
Well, what else could they really say? Seriously, what else could they say that isn’t a longer version of “Long time no see”?

Besides, even if you don't want to take these into account, what's wrong with a longer variation of "long time no see?" Yes they may be longer, but at least there's more variety to the phrase as opposed to saying the same phrase over and over and over again. The more you hear the same phrase, it just more or less becomes stale. "Haven't seen you in ages." may be longer, but it's only 5 words. Is it REALLY that big of a deal to say a 5 worded phrase instead of a 4 worded phrase?

okay i know i said i wouldn't comment on any more videos of this nature, but i got into a binge of it at some point and i want to correct something that, admittedly you would have sinned either way. the reason charriii5 asks shadow if he "smells toast" is because a common attribute when discussing strokes is "the smell of burnt toast". it could have been communicated better, but that is where charriii5 was going.
Charii5's "Tails" voice is just weird, it sounded like a man trying to imitate a woman's voice. When I voice Tails, I imitate his voice from Sonic X because: 1) it's easier to imitate, although it doesn't sound childish, but it does make Tails sound serious. 2) Sonic Adventure Tails' voice is difficult to imitate compared to Knuckles' voice.

I still have fond memories playing this game.
On the other hand, Charriii really can't make up any good points when it comes to any Sonic game, sometimes he does have a point but he drops it with his ridiculous way of sinning games and the overall terrible writing/jokes.

"Smelling toast gives people strokes" was not what Charriii was implying. He was talking about Phantosmia, a medical condition where you smell something that isn't really there, like burnt toast or cigarette smoke. Phantosmia can be caused by concussions or strokes, among other things.

I’m a new subscriber and I really enjoy your content on everything wrong with Charriii5 EWW series.
I’ve been watching Charriii5 for a long time and never realized he made a lot of mistakes throughout a lot of his videos.
Though I still enjoy his content regardless and have nothing against the guy but I will admit I do get tired of him making Sex jokes, racist jokes, nitpicks, and sexist jokes mostly because of how repetitive they are, especially the sex jokes.
Anyway I’ll be looking forward to seeing more of your content of this series as I know Charriii5 won’t stop on his series anytime soon. 🙂

Though I've actually seen people debate on whether the way Shadow acts in this game would place it before or after Shadow, and I simply gave up on trying to make sense of this timeline. BTW, the most logical placement for Chronicles would probably be right before Unleashed considering how the former ends and the latter begins.

Shadow is awfully protective of a Chaos Emerald in this game, and when he gives it up, he acts like he’s losing Maria again. What if that Emerald is helping him remember his past, and by giving it up, he will eventually lose his memories again.

Ok so You do know Charii's EWW Content is meant to be taken seriously, more so just Making fun of the games and inciting laughs. Maybe it's just me, but I don't know if these videos are to Crack a joke with him, or to either debunk his sins (again, jokes on the game) or to critic his videos like it's reviews (which he isn't going for at all, as he explains multiple times)
Just need to clarify what exactly are the videos about or for, no Hate to you or to those who watch and joins these videos, I like them myself, but I just want a clarification
The main point behind my videos is just as my disclaimer says. Correcting the things he’s gotten wrong. I harbor no hate as there are a few videos of his that I’ve enjoyed. Plus, Charriii5 as a person seems nice. It’s just that his points are more often than not heavily flawed. Also, I’m well aware of his insistence that he’s only joking. However, a good majority of his sins are what he believes to be plot holes or inconsistencies. Yeah, there are jokes, but never so I feel like that’s the central focus of his videos. Plus, a lot of them miss the mark in terms of comedy.

Yeah, Tails’ character was inconsistent even before Forces.
I wish that chari sin some of the better games, devil may cry, assassin's Creed,grand theft auto, call of duty, just saying a few... and also want anyone to sin some of the anime based games, dragon ball z Budokai, Naruto ultimate ninja, Inuyasha feudal combat, just saying a few.
Yeah, the only darker games he's covered are Resident Evil, Doki Doki, Five Nights at Freddy's, and the Batman Arkham games. It would be nice to have a little more variety, but he is tackling Pokemon this year supposedly. Pokemon gets dark sometimes.
2:40 ok first of all, have you seen people online making parodies of sonic vids and tails doesn’t sound exactly or close to his gaming counter part and if you have then you should probably know that these voices are done to be either funny or stupid…or both, second of all I like to hear you try to voice tails and see if it sounds close to his official voice
I have seen parodies of Sonic voices, only this ain’t no parody. These are voices he gave to these characters. They aren’t part of his “poorly dubbed” series. Second, it’s not even funny due to how grating it is, and challenge accepted on making a better Tails voice.

Also with how horrible the voice he did was, do you really think he was trying his best to sound close to tails. I think he did this purposely because he probably hates or doesn’t really like the cocky little shit
@@kingstongamer10 Well, everyone here, aside from you, hate that voice, and if he hates Tails, then why would he deliberately hire a VA to voice Marine the Raccoon, a character he hates for all the wrong reasons which I will elaborate on when I utterly destroy his Rush Adventure video, and let her have a great voice? Also, Tails isn’t cocky. That was only one moment in Colors, and it was fine at the very worst. Tails is a fan-favorite to the point where his voice actress got to reprise her role in the second Sonic movie. If he hates Tails, then he is in the very small minority.

Aren't EWW SUPPOSED to be picky? Of course things are gonna be taken at face value, literally and sins are gonna me added just for the lolz, that's the point of the formula CinemaSins created. You could say you're just doing the same thing, but the way you comment on his video make you seem like a jerk who just wants to lash out at people doing unoffensive content.

Well, we know about each other, and there’s no bad blood between us. Also, CinemaSins has been repeatedly called out for their nitpicky nature by Th3Birdman for the past five years. Charriii5 is just as guilty as CinemaSins in this regard.

While a Sonic Battle remake would be nice, I'd also like to see a sequel with a new story and more playable characters. Heck, maybe we'd finally get a hero Gemerl story, since Sega like to pretend he doesn't exist even though he got a prominent role in the IDW comics. He and Vanilla should have at least appeared in Generations!
Sonic Battle has potential, but due it being on GBA, too many restrictions were placed on it.
