Lyrics
Losing sleep, in too deep
Fading sun, what have I done
Came so close to what I need most
Nothing left here
Cut the ties, uncover disguise
Left behind all intertwined
Lost control, moved out of the role now
Nothing's left here
Leave it be
It was meant for me
Soul sacrifice
Forgot the advice
Lost track of time
In a flurry of smoke
Waiting anxiety
For a fair judgement deserved
i feel so sorry for people who do not know Opeth
Opeth changed my life
Baha Hamod I know them!
Baha Hamod and for people who do not understand Opeth! Feeling this is just for some of us♥
Only band that headbanging while I cry.
druce bickinson HAHAH yes you’re so right haha
Lopez plays the drums like he's painting a picture. An astounding artist and musician. It really shows in this performance here
It also shows in Soen 😄
I didn't respect his playing when these albums where new, but after years I've grown to love it.. He really has his own unique style. Sadly the opeth is no more the same opeth..
For sure, one of the best bands I've ever heard!
Lopez was part of what made Opeth: 'Opeth'. Edit: Everyone in this iteration of the band made Opeth: 'Opeth'. Over the years I honestly start to believe that the longer the collective length of hair in a metal band is, the better they are/were.
Phenomenal musician!
I like how slowly they played it this time.
Was about to say the same thing. It's better than the album!
Opeth is the best band on Earth.
I would say that's A Fair Judgement.
Not only a fair judgement, but one live at shepherd's bush empire, london
People like you move the world
bum bum ts
I totally agree with your judgement
A fair judgement is served.
For me it's their best lineup, with Lopez brutality on drums and Lindgren the artist!
oh yeah, totally agreeeeeeeeeeeee!!
YES 100%
I swear these fifteen minutes feel like one. What's crazy is that this gem isn't even one of my favorite Opeth songs. That's how good this band is. Every Opeth song is godlike.
was
@@ccaalluuss still is my friend, In Cauda Venenum is a masterpiece
quickest ever, but i keep listening
@@Celatra nah
I feel so sorry for people who don't have the right ears for listening to Opeth
That freak in outro shows that opeth can write a better doom metal riff than most doom metal bands lol
absolutely agree!
Pls someone tell about bands that make music like that
yami Katatonia, first two albums
Onur Kaya he is not asking for a band that sounds like Opeth, he is asking for something that sounds like the outro in this video, just the outro.
That was 100% inspired by Type O. Nobody else plays a slower drum tempo than they did.
One of their best outros, up there with Deliverance and Harlequin Forest
And ALLTING TAR SLUT!
The new Outro from in a cauda venenum record, the new 2019 album,
My top 5, with Burden Studio version in that acoustic arpeggios.
That's what I am learning to play right now is Harlequin Forest...! What a masterpiece!
@@JaviTryxter Absolutely. Really powerfull outro. Love that song.
u godamm right mate

the verse that sums up one's biggest regret.
my favorite part
Opeth is so good it makes me wanna cry
Beat you to it lol
Lopez IS the song....he is in it and it's in him...The greatest drummer Opeth had and will ever have
I love how Opeth has that magic feel to its songs. Look at the crowd, everybody is quiet, well... you know what I mean. The jazzy vibe their riffs gives us just makes me appreciate music so much more.
mikael is so humble. much respect
he were so humble, now he's destroying, roasting, killing us. He's really funny. If Mikael doesn't want to play and just want to talk, that's OK, still that could make my life, not just my day.
I like how this has an instrumental for the chorus. Nothing's left to say...here :)
This is (was) my favorite Opeth lineup, and this particular concert at Shepherd's Bush is prolly my favorite on youtube. Someday maybe i'll see them live... but it won't be the same without Peter and Martin, sadly.
They still are so fucking good. I love the way that they play live songs, is equal to the original tracks
Indeed. It was never the same after the good guys left.. :(
Fredrick and Axelrot are great.
@@soakedbearrd Rip Axe drums :(
Camerawork is fuckin epic here too. My god what a performance.
That's so right.
The sound engineer is phenomenal too, great job done✅️🎶🤟
I would do anything to see them live with Lopez and Lindgren
Axe is amazing but Lopez is...you know...something else. He's John Bonham of our times
agree
got to see them 2x with Gene Hogland drumming !
People don't quite understand this-- but it's the reality of the musical unity. Lopez brought it all together. It sounds lifeless and barren now.
I would have to agree.
I miss lopez the most
06:00 - 06:10
Those ten seconds are destroying my soul
x2 :'(
tbf if I was there I'd be yelling out "demon of the fall" too.
They played it but couldn't record it because their label only wanted footage of the Blackwater Park, Damnation, and Deliverance albums.
They played Demon of the Fall after this, but I can't find footage of it anywhere. Imagine if they recorded it, the quality ahhhh. Thankfully we have the roundhouse tapes.
@@mattman1127 It's a damn shame they didn't. It'd be the only hi-quality pro-footage of it with Lopez. Maybe one day...
@@jaspergillgannon4991 To be honest, I think Axe nailed that song at Red Rocks. Again, I haven't seen Lopez play that song live, but I certainly prefer the Garden of the Titans version to the album version
@@sammyloehnis3373 Disagree. Axe added a bunch of heavy handed fills in the early part of the song in that performance. Not a fan. His best work that night was probably Deliverance, where when he did add his own flourishes, they all fit perfectly and his double bass was spot on.
For my money, the Roundhouse tapes version of "Demon" with Axe was near perfect, if lacking the amazing mix of the Red Rocks blu-ray. And Axe's performance on "Ghost of Perdition" on roundhouse is better than even the album version, IMHO.
Theres always that one dude that screams BLACK ROSE IMMORTIAL.
Best song ever to cruise on the highway with over long distances by car traveling at high speeds. A fair judgement! Opeth!
That slowed down doom metal breakdown is so freaking good!!!!!
Still one of the best songs I've heard ever. And what a performance
Opeth is really something else
The last time these people were together for a live concert!
This audience was blessed to have witnessed epicness of the best line up Opeth ever had
11:16 starts one of the most iconic live Opeth moments ever I swear
The brutal ending must be symbolizing said judgement - harsh yet fair. Awesome song.
much better than the studio version. I don't really like the way that distorted guitars were recorded on the album version, both the mix and the sound itself. live it sounds way more intense
This song touches my soul both appropriately and inappropriately
😂😂😂
7:49. I could listen to that little solo over and over again!!
Man I never heard the live at bush take on this song, was going to bed yesterday I think I repeated this 4 times.
Te amo Opeth, no hay un día que no los escuché, son esa voz de vida, ese soplo de felicidad
Wow. Just wow. Every single note seems designed to make a perfect melody. This is an utterly beautiful song.
Peter Lindgren Love!!
+JulianBaynes1 opethriffage ended with peter :(
Sorry, but Watershed has plenty of great riffage, especially on Heir Apparent and Hessian Peel.
That Majestic hair (~ ̄³ ̄)~
WTF Watershed is so good man
Mikeal departed from a style if anything. The riffage is still there, but it has changed...
Peter's tone in this is out of this world
7:49 not a single note wasted on that little guitar solo. Incredible.
I wish my dad was alive to hear this....he was such a Frank Marino/Zappa/ Megadeth fan I think he woulda loved it
this music is perfection. even 15 years later,,,,
And this is why i love when bands and drummers play without a click track.

I felt attracted to Opeth for this song, I love the jazz fusion with metal, it's just wonderfully engineered!
I love the ending riff, gave me goosebumps first time I heard it.
It is midnight in West Bengal, India and I'm feeling like I have been kept stranded in a spaceship capsule and the saucer is flying away with this music all around the walls!
Wow, what an ending!!! Heavy, Evil as Hell, Lopez's face was the definition of that, i was making that same face here
Dat fucking ending... every time... so good.
11:20 “Abandon all hope, ye who enter here.”
favorite band of all time :)
Anybody else that was around for those shows when Opeth was first gaining in popularity, like '03-'05? Fucking magical times, for sure. I still love Opeth, love what they do now and they are probably a "better" live band now, but dudes... the vibe of the shows from the Deliverance/Lamentations tours? I miss being that young and so impressed with this beautiful music.
This is one of the most beautiful songs of the second set of the show ♫
Yeah man! I most agree with you
+JulianBaynes1 It does Has always given me goosebumps
Yes, but to be honest all of them are very similar. Opeth is just spectacular.
the song's a masterpiece...
Man, I would do anything to see them live...
orpheusentertainment so do what you have to do... you won't regret it
let's see if my move to australia will allow me to see them :p
orpheusentertainment Wow to Australia!!! That's great I'm sure you will \,,/
I hope it works out, wish me luck!
Wishing you all the best of luck ... everything will be alright you'll see !!!
This song is my bo fav song ... he left me and every time I lsn to it .. it makes me tear for hours
Its great
Most complete Band on Earth
I love how slow and heavy they play this outro live. Its one of my favourite to listen to on the album, but man the way they do it live is like no other.
Agreed. It's slower, but still heavier at the same time. A doomy feel to it. Fantastic.
I don't know how much folks in this show paid for a ticket, but right now in 2024 and after 13 years since I discovered the band and it became my favorite, and not being able to be lucky enough to see them perform live especially the old stuff, due to my geographical position.. I honestly think it's worth every godamn peny ngl
The solo section is the absolute climax of this song
I wish they would play and write songs like this or Benighted or To Bid You Farewell. I don’t care about the screaming. I just want this style back.
Same brother
I mean Sorceress is kind of full with stuff similar to those
@@igornaimoli7321 nah
I prefer this over the studio version
Saw Opeth around 2006 with Megadeth. Opeth was so good live, it literally blew me away. Megadeth wasn’t so bad either.
Slower and heavier, these changes in tones and tempo are classy!
This one along with Dirge are my two favorite songs from Opeth, I can't choose only one but I think these two songs represent very well both sides of Opeth before Heritage, which I love too
That solo😱
Kills me everytime
This gig is lightning in a bottle ❤
Amo este DVD... Peter, Per, López... y claro, Mike y Méndez. Sin duda mi alineación favorita de mi banda favorita, por siempre! Grande Opeth!
i would give up everything to see this lineup performing.. but please in that shape. this was the ultimate opeth
Opeth is the Best band of all time for me......mikael is a god.
Absolutely 🤘🏻
Was honored to see these guys live in Houston right before the Pandemic Hit. The Best show i have ever been to! Front Row starting Mosh Pits
Martin Lopez was so great. I was a metal drummer thinking speed and heavy was everything until I heard him play. The techniques while keeping it metal, just amazing. Totally changed how I felt about drumming
7:07. so sad, so beauty...
That outro is so morbid angel ❤️
Peter's great and beautiful solo in this song, simply marvelous!!!
Why is every song so damn good?
Best song I ever heard, the melody creates a sense of serenity and peace but with a feeling of melancholy , the dynamic of the song is epic makes me Headbang with power of resistance and pure desire well great to get high with such a song
Opeth rules
I was aware that Opeth had a good drummer, but that very nice musical drumming, especially at the beginning of the song did surprise me in a very positive sense :D
*headbanging in slow motion* 😂
This was awesome though!
This is the perfect song.
I’m new to Opeth and have to say they are great.
Wow, this is so good! So musical, precise and full of interplay. Gotta love Lopez' dynamic, almost jazzy drumming! I just clicked into a few newer live shows (2015), but stopped them after a few songs. They just seem to shred down their parts nowadays...?
what a fucking song. still gives me chills 20 years later
OPETH IS THE BEST BAND IN THE PAST 20 YEARS. MUSICAL WIZARDS.
This album in general delivered me through rough times... I still find 10 years on going back to that still place
the end of this song is one of the slowest and heaviest I have ever heard, opeth is incredible
Passei muitos anos sem saber da existência dessa banda! Opeth é surreal de bom!
Heaviest outro there. Beautifully composed.
I love this slower tempo
11:19 one of my favorite riffs ever! ❤
Lopez has an amazing pocket.. and that snare sounds soo crisp! ❤️
Pedazo de formación!!!!!
Opeth's best drummer to me...this incarnation of the band, best -
THAT SNARE IS INSANE!!!!!!!
the best i cant stop listeing to this song
I think this is sitll Opeth's best song and what amazinfg performance from these five guys. My first Opeth album was Watershed and seen you guys few times in Finland.
Come back to Glasgow! My first time (of 14) seeing you was at the ABC in 2006. Loved it!
11:35 killer note!!!!!
Lopez with relaxed style but killer tone and precision... I really like him
Sad part was i was living in london during this concert, couldnt afford the ticket as it was my first year in the country.
Talk about a tight band. Also what a perfect job by the sound engineer...
That outro is the fucking heaviest piece of riffage ever created.
Intense.
Wtf...the feel when you unexpectedly see someone you know in the comments section of a youtube video!
Beautiful!!
