Honestly this episode is an embarrassment of dramatic riches, so much acting flex: Maddie Evans getting (1) scene but totally owning it as Dyana, Wil Johnson as Vaemond putting his in-laws on blast, ewan mitchell losing an eye and all chill, Matt Smith adding little unmistakably Daemon moments to the scenes, and of course Paddy burning bright one last time
Paddy’s acting was phenomenal. I wanted to dislike this show but I can’t. It’s subtle and deft and he certainly deserves an award for his performance here.
He was so good at acting like a living corpse that you didn’t just see it, you could smell the death on him 💀

I've never been as emotional watching anything as I was when Viserys entered the throne room. Not even Ned's death, Red Wedding, or Jon did that to me.
Viserys had me emotional in every scene He was in. Such a moving performance Paddy has done. Neds I was disgusted. Red wedding it was just shock (so much happened-cried the 2nd time I watched it) and Jon’s was so shocking to me It took me a minute to believe it (even though I binged the show so I didn’t have to wait for next season) but this. This was just 😢 completely sobbing. They did a good job at showing how viserys has been breaking down since ep 2 but you really realise that he was holding on for dear life and it was honestly painful to watch. I think what sold it for me this episode (other than paddy’s performance) is that you can really see the concern daemon had for his brother. He looked pained to see him like that when they were talking in the bedroom. He could hardly look at him. The whole episode was just so good

I loved that part but for me it was his speech at the dining table that sold his performance. Extraordinary.

I don't know why but the scene I most remember about this episode is that unique and brief moment when they all seem to be comfortable around each other at the dinner table and you can see a little bit of relief at Viserys face quietly staring at them all despite of his physical pain. Brilliant ❤
I felt how much he wished for his home together and I cried a lot watching this scene, he tired looking at everyone around everyone laughing with each other.... 😭

As an actor, this was probably one of the most gratifying roles anyone could get on a show like this. To have a lengthy, layered monologue full of outbursts and then to have everyone hanging on your every word, wondering if you're gonna cross the line. It's like the Kevin Hart joke where his mom let's him curse his teacher out lmao

I didn’t hate him. What he said from the beginning was true, and he knows a thing or two about ruling. People hate him mainly because he kinda antagonized rhaenerya
only difference is that Jaime Lannister is mostly a good person who put the safety of hundreds of thousands of people first while Daemon is just a cold blooded murderer who does things for selfish gain
