  • This Japanese fighter took part in the last two years of World War II and is generally accepted to be Japan's best fighter. It was fast and maneuverable, as well as having good firepower with two 30mm and two 20mm cannons. It had a flight ceiling high enough to intercept the B 29 Superfortress as well. It did although have a high maintenance engine and faulty landing gear that would buckle, this was in large part due to the war turning in the favor of the allies and Japan not being able to maintain and repair as was needed.
    This model kit is really old, but I think it looks good for its age, it needs some interior detail and could use a better engine, those parts and a few more I wrote into the video. I think it is worth a build even with its age, and it would be a good platform to practice upgrading a kit with AM parts I think. they are easily find for 20 Euros and I think the exterior detail is pretty good so it would make a fine kit one way or the other.
