- This is a brief introduction to my newest HO Scale switching layout that I will highlight on Dan's Model Railroading Journey as I build it and get trains running. I will be using this layout to start my journey towards becoming a Master Model Railroader through the National Model Railroader Association.

I liked "Failure is always an option!" Lol. Looks like fun!
Absolutely love the "Build for Action, not Scenery" comment!!! It is all about running the railroad and making the money! Nothing against scenery but I am all about the action too! Great stuff. -Rick
"Derailments. Disappointments. For All Mankind."

Nice intro
Thanks!
Hi,
Amazing video and awesome project!
I have two 1200mm x 600mm modules and I'm looking for to create a switching/shunting layout using Märklin track (AC) references .
How can we have access to this track plan?
Thanks in advance.

Good luck. Check this out: web.archive.org/web/20151112063639/home.online.no/~steinjr/trains/modelling/index.html
I just started with a general search, and found that link.
It appears that you used Atlas 83 Code track. Can you provide the list of track used?
@@Drew-dg1qr I can confirm the turnouts but the res was flex track. All from Atlas.
#505, #506, and I believe one #560. They are #6 turnouts. Described early in czcams.com/video/IWatJfmvm20/video.htmlsi=cBP6doMSDuxQ_N44 with a view of the full size plan to show where track is placed.
@DMRJ Thank you. I am planning to expand the layout by incorporating John Allen's puzzle with a wye at the end. I'm looking to set it up on a 3 x 8.
@@Drew-dg1qr will you be documenting your journey?
@DMRJ I will try using Atlas code 83. I will probably get the benchwork done locally with one or two drawers. I have some restrictions since it is in a garage. I will put on casters. I have been trying to get one started for years. I have had the 3 fold curse over the decades: money, time, and space. This is the best solution combining two switching layouts.
Cant stand pointless intros....LOOK AT ME syndrome
Are you referring to he intro vid on my page or intros to each of the vids? With only a few vids under my belt I really want to make them better. I appreciate the criticism, and would love to understand how to improve them.
Dan: A gracious reply.
@@darrenmcharg7731 Sure looked and sounded like he pirated “A cut above woodworking’s” intro that he’s been using for many years!
I checked that channel out and I see what you are referring to and that is a stock “movie trailer” in iMovie. Has been used by tons of CZcamsrs. If you view my other videos which were made in OpenShot and Divinci Resolve you will see that I don’t use that iMovie trailer. Also, never heard of that channel until you noted it. As I noted from the original comment I’m open to suggestions on how to improve my videos. Appreciate the feedback you provided and any additional feedback on how I can make my videos more to you liking.
@@DMRJ I know absolutely zero about what it takes to produce a good CZcams product, and wasn’t aware that there was such a thing as stock trailer product! You’ve taught me something today! Regarding A Cut Above Woodworking, Ken produces a first class product that primarily deals with (obviously) woodworking, but he also has “alternative Tuesday” that dives into other hobby activities. I’m going to play catch up on your channel and follow your journey to MMR. That’s a rare accomplishment, and I wish you well! I’d have to add that although I’ve been a model railroader since the early 70’s, I have no idea what the requirements are to earn that honor, but I’m very interested! Keep up the good work, and I wish you well!
