    To me the GOAT is not the one with the most titles but the one with the best on and off court manners, who earns respect, who is true to himself, who is not misleading specators by saying he is injured and then wins the tournament, not retiring in a match. As a South African this is the one that we can all be very proud of. A real decent and sincere person admitting he has mistakes and got lucky. That to me is the GOAT of anything even your job.

    • @mikemoggerson6651
      @mikemoggerson6651 Před 8 měsíci

      Does the goat make a salty comment such as “lucky shot” after losing then? Does the goat advocate for lower seed players to get paid less so he can get paid more? These are both things your “classy” Fed has done that Djokovic has not. Djokovic is out here trying to get lower ranked players to earn more money. Federer, who was making nearly 100 million a year in total, was against this and wanted to vulture all the money for himself.

      He’s the most iconic of all time. Most famous and most marketable. Perhaps the most “elegant.” Certainly one of the best ever. However, Fed fans have totally changed the definition of “great” over the past couple years to change it from the BEST (most winning) to a player with the most influence. Even a Fed fan must be self-aware enough to see that changing the definition of goat so that Federer can still be the goat is unfair. Djokovic won that race fair and square, and even overcame abuse from fans, defaults, and deportations. Federer is the most influential but not the “goat” anymore. Sorry

    Undeniably, Djokovic stands above the Big 3 and probably will stand alone for a very long time. But from the perspective of the success of the sport of tennis as a whole, Federer brought in the most people, most endorsements and sales, and most importantly, had immense outreach to people outside of tennis: Tiger Woods himself is golf is to Roger Federer himself is tennis.

      you must be not a tennis player Novak is not the greatest when you watch Federer play it was skill Novak is a human backstop. Federer was dominant over Novak Rafa and everyone else on faster surfaces. they changed the game taking the skill of shot making out by slowing the courts so less skilled players could be more competitive.
