Being able to decorate your yard for the first time is the best feeling! Also, I have to agree with the others who mentioned not putting up fake web outside. They are potentially dangerous for many animals including bats, birds, and bees which are already facing a lot of issues. I learned this from a bat rescue and rehabilitation organization.
Don’t be hard on yourself about decisions decorating. You will evolve in your decorating year to year. I just started three years ago. The important thing is you have to start somewhere. Love what you have done ❤️😀❤️
Congrats on getting your first house together and making it into a home. A trick I learned about those plastic stakes, they like to break. So, I will get one of my longer screw drivers, jam that into the ground first to help make a hole then make it deep enough (I do know where all the wires are underground). Then I'll put the plastic stakes in, you can do the same with the flamingo "legs" as well.

Love your spooky decor and you think like we do...we have a lot of birds rabbits and squirrels so I don't put the spider webs outside because I am worried about the animals 👍

Hi Chris! Love your Halloween decor. You need to get you some flickering flame light bulbs for the garage and front door lanterns..they look so nice at night. I've been using the flaming flickering bulbs for a few years now and love them.🎃🎃

I put plastic pumpkins then bought $1+ solar walkway lights inside. Just below the pumpkin top

So cute and fun. If you want an inexpensive way to increase the flamingo flock next year, purchase the pink flamingo at the Dollar Tree next summer and spray paint them black and use white or glow in the dark paint to add a skeleton. Cute look for very little money. The important thing is to have fun. I think it’s all adorable.
We always put out the most we can.
Maybe you could put them in bushes with some glowing eyeballs. And a glow in the dark spider

Looks great Cris/Jay , not sure if your H.O.A. would allow it, but I cut the backs on plastic hollow pumpkins to put around outdoor lights such as the garage lights and our pole light on our front lawn.

Also great idea about the pumpkin lights around your tree..I have a sidewalk leading up to my front door and it would be way too expensive to purchase several sets of pumpkin lights so I’ll put them around my tree. No idea why I haven’t thought of that idea ! Thanks for sharing the tip!!!
Everything you got looks awesome, and those little “islands” with the palm trees are perfect for keeping the decor off the lawn so it doesn’t make Tampa Jay mad when he cuts the grass 👍🏻 thanks for this awesome video!
Put the spider 🕸 inside. In the window would look nice. Each year you will buy more and more for outside so don't worry if it looks simple right now. I have so much I need to declutter the old broken outside decorations this year.

Theft of decorations is a problem where I live. Heck, theft of plants in planters or EVEN IN THE GROUND, is a problem where I live. So no outside decorations for me. But your yard is looking adorable. This is just the beginning for you two. Build your collection up slowly. In a few years it will be unbelievable and you'll be happy that you have this footage to look back upon.
i loved this video! I was excited to see how you guys did up your yard. I heard the spider webs are bad for birds who try to take them for the nests. I am not sure since I never looked in to it.

Birds get caught in web decor. Clean decor looks 👍🏼
We put up our “outside” spider webs until 2-3 days before Halloween because they don’t hold up amongst the elements….and they can be a pain to redo 😅
Our “Indoor” spider webs have been up since September 1st tho 😊
On the spiderweb it depends on if it is the cotton pr if it's synthetic. The bag it came in should say. The only thing I wouldn't use are the spiders if you're worried about animals. They may think they are food.

How fun! Thanks for showing us. You should put those spiders and web on the front hedge bush you were sitting in front of. If it's not ok for birds, did I see you have a fireplace? Love this vlog! I’m decorating more this year bc my daughter loves spooky season. We’ve worked together, and I’m proud of her. She did the spooky graveyard w lights, I did the light up pumpkins, then we both did a big spider web. We did the yarn like web.
We also got the scary kitty meowing from Target .

Also I’d put those spiderwebs inside the house instead, I never even thought about them being outside….I don’t decorate the outside of my house because I have small kids that we take trick or treating and we don’t hand out candy we just leave a bowl by the front door.

The fake webbing holds up in the rain as long as it is secured properly.

U did good not using the webbing outside because small animals can get wrapped up or trap in it.

Spider web you have there cats like to eat it and can't tell you how many time my mothers vet clinic get emergency surgeries to get the blockage out of their throat or their guts wild cats eat it too. It's horrible to wildlife getting snagged and hung up in it if they don't eat it. It's horrible in rain and horrible in wind and leaves not to mention you cant reuse it every year for so much stuff just gets stuck in it then its in the land feild. go with the fabric cob webs and rope webs or light webs if you want spider webs.
