The publisher seems to have a real obsession with publishing surprisingly competent "simulator" games. I'm not entirely surprised they also published Drug Dealer Simulator, Thief Simulator, Car Trader Simulator, and Cooking Simulator.

Devs are fans of Vinesauce- the guy with thick Italian accent that sends players on missions to steal things in Thief Simulator is called Vinny and devs even mentioned that if there will be Thief Sim 2 they will name another quest giver after Joel
@D_ans This game really does look good. It's giving off some vibes that make it feel like some kind of spiritual successor to Bully or something and it's not just the looping music. Speaking of the looping music, does the soundtrack make anybody else think of the Neverhood?

Goat simulator has more effort put into it than people give it credit for. Especially the DLCs. Even Vinny found himself begrudgingly enjoying it when he played.

Vinny mentioned Postal series and funnily enough in the game, there's one Cabinet named Sym Homeless in the Arcade. This is like the result if it was real and playable.
Glad to see Vinny finally playing a Yakuza game, though starting with Like A Dragon is a bit of an odd choice.

this is what quality is vinny. dread it, run from it, simulator games still delivers.
Vinny jokes about this game being quality, but you have to remind yourself it's much less glitchy than Cyberpunk.

There's another more serious game similar to this. It lacks the quality in charector models and dialogue as this game has, however it's tone is alot more serious. It's called hobo : Tough Life.. and it's a blast to play. You wouldn't think it at first, but it's mechanically quite well developed. You can dive in dumpsters, but doing so causes you to rip your clothes and stink over time.. the more you smell the less likely people are to help you in any way, and shops will refuse to sell to you. If your clothes rip, you'll suffer from the cold more severely. There's also a ton more statuses to monitor and look after to ensure survival for your hobo.. the game doesn't hold your hand at all, it's pure trial and error. But the main objective is to build a shelter in the city that will allow you to survive the cold. For anyone who thought this game vin played was interesting, I highly recommend you give this other game a look. There's even a co-operative mode!
Hobo: Though Life. Pretty fun game actually. I prefer the dark grimy aesthetics and turn based combat

I don't know why, but I'm hooked on watching this like I was when I was watching Vinny's Bugsnax VODs. If Vinny does continue to play this, I'll have a hard time deciding if I want to watch the videos right away or let them build up so I can have a good bingeing session.
I cant say that i feel about vinny plays this game.
One hand - i have fun to see how he learning about game.
Other hand - I am mad how vinblind he is.
This game is a lot more… Tasteful? Strangely than you would expect it to be, and I say tasteful very, very loosely for a game that has pigeon weapons and talking grocery trolleys. Plus its better made than you would think lol
Also, second hand smoke stuff: My dad has been an active smoker since before i was born and he quit for like 5 months a couple years back before starting up again, but in those 5 months I stopped being used to it and being around second hand smoke gives me awful migraines now, its so gross. D:
This is so much better than it has any right to be, and I'm absolutely down to watch more whenever Vinny wants to play it.

1:07:26 I heard a little about the "weapon" in the Saint's Row reboot. I can see the concern in that they could be moving in a direction that no one wants, one that's too soft, despite it not being a family friendly series to begin with. Though on the other hand, it wasn't exactly the pinnacle of comedy and seeing it return would be very "meh". Most fans probably don't care, either. Maybe the article blew it out of proportion and means almost nothing. I don't know and I can't be bothered to read another article on one of those sites. That said, with anything there are reasons why someone would be upset with certain changes.
Look back at the Final Fantasy 8 remaster and it's censorship. You might not think it's a big deal, sure, but when people were freaking out about it Vinny made it sound as though the only ones upset were pervs, when that's not the case. Not for most, anyways. People just don't like censorship, especially when it's confusingly pointless like it was in FF8, not to say that it negates the entire game.
The Spyro remakes had a similar 'controversy', replacing the 'machine gun enemies' with ones that use paint guns instead. It didn't bother me, but I understood why it did for others. Maybe it's the same for the SR reboot. Who knows, but it's not always super simple. I'll wait until the game comes out.

Watching this made me consider 2 things:
1) How much time of my life have I spent watching streams & videos?
2) How much time and effort have I spent building stuff in games only to abandon it once it is done or halfway done?
I would very much enjoy a Part 2, but I understand the lack of enthusiasm towards playing again. This was a very entertaining game to watch and to watch you play/explore/react to.
