I believe Notion is the best note-taking app. Actually, it is more than just a note-taking app. With Notion, you can take simple notes, manage tasks, organize projects, have a training plan, make a budget, plan your vacation, and much more... There are templates for almost anything. You can also create your own templates. Moreover, Notion is probably the best all-in-one tool to work in a team. It is a web app, so it works across devices.
Notion is free for personal use and reasonably priced if you want the Pro features, or you need to work in a Team.

Despite it's just a web app, they don't even provide a native Linux app. + it's proprietary and doesn't provide any encryption whatsoever. Why is this featured on a Linux channel?

Notion is good but i think Obsidian is even better: Offline by default, it has a native Linux app, all your files are stored locally so you don't need an internet connection, and it is generally faster to use; it's also highly configurable with plugins just like your favourite IDE.

hello. I just learned about notion last week and as a student, I can see that it has some really cool features that would be really helpful to me. at first, I was very overwhelmed with all the new things you can do using notion but watching your videos have really helped me get the hang of it.
the one thing that I have been looking for on the internet but I can't seem to find is an attendance tracker for students. as a uni student, we have the criteria to hit 70% attendance to attend the exams. and I really want to track which classes I attend and which classes do I skip. and which classes are currently low on attendance.
I am looking to build a database where I enter the subject name, date, and a check box if the class is attended or not. and based on the no of classes missed/attended it could calculate in which classes I have low attendance.
I thought this I a pretty common thing and I would find at least one person who has made something like this but unfortunately, I haven't.
can you please make something like this?

I find Notion interesting. I tried to import in to it from Evernote and the import process is just garbage. If I try to import more than one book it just hangs for ever and when the import works no photos or documents get transferred over, just text.
Really wanted to like Notion but it is hard when I have to manually copy everything over.

Closed proprietary rubbish. Stay away people. Vim and markdown is great but use whatever editor you like, **just make sure you save your notes in text** so you can access them in future and can use version control with git etc. Stay away from this crap!!
