- Valentines Day is coming up, which leads Anthony to reminisce about his ex-wife. He says he wouldn't care if she died and wouldn't go to the funeral. They discuss ways she might die. He discusses his ex-wife embarrassing him in public and tells a story about her falling off a dock. He says he has no happy memories of being with his wife.
Ope and Ant really sounded happy together here.
Yet Opie came across as dumb as ever saying pointless things.

I've found that Opie is at his most likeable and endearing in these memory lane strolls. That joke he made about bars serving half-beers because of Ant's dead wife was actually pretty funny. It's interesting that he can access that part of himself more readily when reminiscing.

Ant was most likely married to a clinical narcissist. Either trying to mirror the relationship with his father or perhaps his mother? And it sounds like she wasn’t your standard narcissist that was grandiose and larger than life... everything still came back to her. Ants success, instead of being something to celebrate, was a tool to measure her lack of accomplishments against. Or maybe she had borderline personality disorder or was bipolar?
