10 Wearable Fashion Trends That Will Be HUGE In 2024
We may only be just over half way through the year but there's no time like the present to prepare for the top fashion trends that are set to take centre stage in 2024. So with that in mind I took a deep dive into the key fashion trends that designers showcased in their resort collections to identify the most wearable fashion trends that are set to be huge in 2024.
I'm also picking that many of you will already own some of these trends so if you're thinking about culling any of these pieces out of your closet then it may be worth thinking twice about that. Anyway, I'd love to hear your thoughts about the trends I've featured in today's episode.

Since I am a mild hoarder, I have my clothes from 80’s and 90’s and can give them one more round😂❤😂
I think mild hoarding is smart. I’m here for it. I do the same. I definitely don’t subscribe to the mantra that “if you haven’t worn it in 6 months/year, get rid of it”. Nope. My moods and tastes are consistently fickle. If it’s a nice item, I hang on to it. Plus, prices only ever go up, so I’m a mild hoarder too. 🙌🏼

A Line is soooo flattering on my body type (hourglass).
I made both of my daughters when they were ages 4 and 9 Holly Hobbie dresses with the pinafore and the bonnets! They are now ages 50 and 55 but they still love looking at those photos wearing those dresses!

Oh my!!!! I was totally obsessed with drawing Holly Hobby when I was a kid! Thanks for bringing that up. Loving the A-Line dresses (let me be June Cleaver or Jackie Onassis please....). I am so happy about Metallics and will try to get something burgundy as I think it is a very feminine color and suits almost everyone. A good alternative to classic red.

Generally, I don't follow fashion. I know what works for my tiny frame (5' and just over 100lbs). At best, I will check out the latest colours and buy a little cashmere or silk cardie and perhaps a couple of quality tees in one of those colours.
Hollie Hobbie! My mum bought a lot of things for me in that theme when I was a child! I had a blue bag with a little HH doll in a sidepocket! Notebooks, letterpaper, pens, even dresses! ”The little house on the prerie” (Laura Ingalls) books and TV show was huge here in Sweden at the late 70:ies!
I do have a lightblue sort of patchwork shortsleeved dress to the knee that is 20 years old…! IDK if it cuts it? It’s very comfortable and dressy!

I love my shoulders and arms again, since I've been doing the X3 Bar workout. I've bought at least four halter style dresses in the last year and Lily Silk has great halter tops. ❤❤❤

I’ve always enjoyed the richness and elegance of burgundy and have some burgundy pieces in my wardrobe. I wear what I love and what looks good on me regardless of the trends, but it’s nice to know that burgundy is getting some time in the spotlight.

I always enjoy your trend reviews. The list you shared had a few trends that really piqued my interest: silver, shoulder pads & Teddy coats. These are actually all personal favorites. I was never really a huge fan of the color burgundy but I’m very interested in seeing how designers, stylists, content creators & other fashion people will be styling the color in 2024. I’m definitely willing to try experimenting with it in the new year.

I love burgundy! It favors me so. I am busty (I don't mind emphasizing it) but I also don't like my shoulders because they appear bigger in halters. I guess I'll try power through the discomfort. I'm so glad about sheer skirts, I have one that I bought in during the pani, but it was sheer with only a built in panty. Maybe now I can pair it with some leggings or even a smaller slip.
I won’t go for the teddy coat but burgundy, semi sheer skirts and halternecks is my thing!
PS Wore Barbie-core at work today! Hot pink empire silk shirt, hot pink mermaid skirt below the knee, sparkling hotpink earstuds, bracelet and pink kittenheel shoes!💖💓💗

LEONI ! Giiiiiirrrrrllll !! Ok.. I've not watched in a very weeks ( painful AF surgery ) so of course I popped back on to do a "mini SI marathon" and I did a double take.. just that small tweak of Carmel highlights and some a few layers around your face literally took 5-10 years off you 💯👏 Bravo !

Btw.. I 💯 agree about the burgundy ! It's a true struggle to find reds that look good on me (light cool skin tone) anything with any sort of orange makes me look like I have jaundice 😆🤦♀️
I definitely can relate to sheer being sported in an actual wearable way, without looking like you should be by a pool. I have worn sheer waaaay back but the pieces were worn underneath longer length blazers or had a slip lining. I do have a few inspired or actual cowboy boots and I will be wearing them like a rancher with a mid-western vibe. Cowboy boots are hard to wear in winter because they have none grip soles and most are leather which don't work well with rain/snow/ice. Thanks for sharing and ta ta for now!

Loved Holly Hobby but probably won’t dress like her. I’m beginning to lean into the silver trend but will probably just buy an inexpensive shoe. I recently found a navy suit hiding in my closet that had huge shoulder pads. I’m thinking it might work for Halloween. Thanks for keeping us updated.

2024 might be the fashion year for me. I like a number of these 👍🏻
I still have burgundy pieces from 10/15 years ago (mostly from Zara and ASOS).
I dug out a couple of 80s silver tone chunky necklaces recently because silver seems to come back.
Halter is not my fave because my neck is too stumpy, shoulders too meaty, and upper arms too short. Halter exposes my shortcomings.
The heavier upper body with a teddy or faux fur coat is also not working for me. I have never put on such coat not looking like I was 20lb heavier.
Cottage Core style seems very feminine and romantic. I’d love it 20/30 years ago but at 60 I find it a bit too fussy and costumey. I have finally outgrown boho. Am not going to fall back into a cottage rabbit hole.
