5:15 I assumed that the Mewtwoites existed forever, but had no effect on any Pokémon. But Mewtwo’s clone DNA made it compatible somehow. I think the megastones weren’t created specifically for certain Pokémon, they’re just compatible with their respective mons. Then they were given the appropriate names.
That or it's pyschic powers became so strong that it allowed mewtwo to simply create it's own mega evolutions, & that the stones are just placeholders to prevent the mega requaza situation

Why don’t Pokémon that are gifted (Lapras, Eevee, Porygon...etc) receive an EXP Boost in battle? You’re not the original trainer that caught them. 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
I don't know. I think the reason they added in the EXP boost was so you can't trade in a perfectly IV bred (or hacked) pokémon from a different game and then absolutely cruise through everything. The EXP boost essentially just complements the badge mechanics in this way.
I think because you are the OT. These pokemon were hatched or created, but never had a trainer. Which is also why you can nickname them, unlike traded Pokemon.

Celebi was supposed to be inside the GS Pokéballin the anime, just like he was in the manga, they scratched that when they released a movie featuring Celebi and then realised the messed up.
8:38 I can explain that one. The reason gyraradose is red, is because he was forced into evolution (duh). But the reason wild pokemon are of a different color, that isn't the previous evolution's color, is because they possessmutated Genes that give them that color. Like in reality, an animal with mutated Gene's cam Express diffrent hair colors. This mutation could also be the reason the shiny pokemon have better stats, because the mutation granted above average strength, speed, height, etc. And the reason gyrarados is red, is because its evolution was forced and didnt allow the cells to change color as the creature was to age. If the magikarp aged, its scales would turn blue because a different gene or pigmentation was developed to Express that color. But since it was forced into evolution, its body wasnt prepped for the premature change. Thus leaving the pokemon with its underdeveloped-pigmented scales.

@@vincentsreptiles5270 yes they do, back in gen 1 the way you could tell if you had a shiny was by looking at stats and seeing if they were above average. Past gen 2 however, they decided to go with a pallet swap to make it easier for people to identify a shiny

I've had an idea for the voltorb mystery for a while now. It's probably a rotom that was interested in the pokeballs and possessed one. When a rotom has possessed a machine it can still use its functions. I theorize that the rotom accidentally sealed itself using the capture mechanic of the ball. It's angry because it's trapped :(

The gsball was for the scrapped event. Apparently, while the event itself worked, the way to "legally hack" the gsball in the game did not, and with no way to fix it, it went under.
The problem is that they already were promoting the damn thing!

In anime nothing was said. Ash just gave the GS Ball to the apriball maker and that's it

In pokemon journeys, ep 12 the announcer says that Lance's gyrados (the red gyrados from Johto) evolved from a gold magicarp, which creates a whole new group of potholes.

I can explain number 10: It's because Nidoqueen and co are based off of rhinos and female rhinos often or always (forgot the detail on this part) refuse to breed, the channel Lockstin & Gnoggin explained it better and more detailed.
Or it was just a mistake that they decided to keep to this day.

There were more than 8 gyms in Gen 1. There was a fighting type gym that lost it's certification just before you got to the town.
This could mean that there are more small gyms that you don't get to see.
IDK if I have read it or it was included on a season 1 episode, but I'm pretty sure that they have explained that in every region, there's more than 8 gyms. It just depends on the direction the trainer chooses on what gym will he battle next. But I guess they ruled that out because it's more easier to have mainstream gyms instead of having more than 8 gyms that wouldn't be shown because the protagonist didn't decide to go on that gym. And it would be easier (I guess) to make the games that way.

#14: I think like in a lot of video games the lore (which the anime covers) and the gameplay are different - regions are definitely bigger in lore then they are in video games and there's more cities and probably more gyms - the games kinda compress it all, but yeah I think it would be cool to have an optional or conditional gym or there could be starker differences between versions where the map is different and there's different cities and gyms to do.

It pretty much explained itself. The Ghost girl has been a mystery for so long and anyone that has played pokemon would know about her, but the mystery was never solved and never will be solved.

I think it's meant to represent all the ghost girls. There's at least one ghost in every generation I think, but only the Unova ghost girl really has a "complete" backstory.

I think voltorbs and electrodes are pokemon that were not cared about by their trainers. The trainer never let it out of its pokeball for so long that it was sealed. That's why they use explosion and screech, so they could get out or someone else could get them out.

With #1 when I played Silver most of my friend transferred their Mewtwo from Red/Blue or Yellow so I feel like them having Berserk Gene for Mewtwo isn't really an odd thing

I have an answer to the badges portion with Gary. In the anime it has been stated that there are more than 8 gyms in the Kanto region. A trainer only needs to obtain 8 badges from gyms officially registered with the Indigo plateau. They touch on this in the first season where one place the crew stumbles on is trying to get themselves trained up to register as an official gym. Cerulean Gym was also risking its status when they stopped having valid pokemon for battle which is why Misty returned. The show chooses the gyms we see because it ties closely to the games. Another important note is that there are way too many contenders for the league in the anime for how some of the gyms were. Cinnabar island isn't found by very many challengers, and Giovanni was too powerful for a large majority of contenders

The could start a complete update that has canonical place with the main series.
Idea would be to make games that include more than 1 region; and previously unrevealed areas of old ones.

So, I tend to notice a bit of a trend with some of these videos where there's a mystery in the games/anime. Like they'll take things either out of context or not remember part or parts of the series. For example, I've seen a few 'mysteries' as to what Gary picked as his starter. Which it was revealed when Ash and Gary fought in the Johto league silver conference, that it was Squirtle.
Anyways, in this, the mystery about the shiny gyarados (hope I spelled that right). There are two things that are against the "Shiny Pokemon are just pokemon that retain their previous evolution's color palette" the first comes from the anime in question, in it when they asked why it was red initially, the science guy said that he wasn't sure and offered up the possibility that it was because it simply kept its same color palette from the its magikarp state. Granted it was mentioned a time or two after that but it was more likely him just offering an explanation, or the one guy rolling with what the science guy told him. So, it was just a theory that, that is why it was red. The other thing going against it, is that it's in the anime. The anime isn't canon with the games. (If it were you could use water gun on a ground type so you can do damage with electric type moves :P ).
As for the GS ball, it's not really a mystery any more. In an interview it was stated that it was supposed to have Celebi inside it, which was supposed to follow/join Ash for his Johto Journey. But the movie came out which caused them to change their mind (to simplify that part). Which, it is still possible that it could still canonically have a celebi in it... after all the Celebi from the movie was from Samuel Oak's timeline.

The mystery of gs ball is solved in the manga it was created by some mask guy to catch celebi and to resist the time traveling it was made by the feathers of Ho oh and lugia that's why time traveling had no effect on that ball. G stands for Gold which is Ho oh and S stands for Silver which is lugia.

You do know the GS ball contains Celebi, it was explained in Japan was back when Gold and Silver were released.

It only awakens Celebi when you put it in the forest it doesn't open Celebi only appears in the sky.
I kinda go with the Haunter trying to possess a pokeball, but due to how the item works, the haunter ends up getting trapped. Would explain their exploding (self-destructing) so often, in an attempt to get free which unfortunately didn't work for the pokemon.
