@EDP445'S big black ass cheeks Don't worry I didn't, that's the first thing on the list.
Also Edriggen James!
*Injuries
And a blocked kick
damn ill never forget when boldin got knocked out at the end
What’s up HH
Ah highlight heaven is here
That was scary how he got hit just underneath the helmet at full speed. That injury could've easily affected him psychologically as well as physically and never been the same.
I always had tremendous respect for Boldin eventually coming back from getting his face reconstructed, and continuing his stellar career with no drop off in play.
Same
@@NFLVault I remember when you called me a w.
Crazy that this cardinals team went to the super bowl
And the jets won the rest of their games till favre got hurt. Like 8-2 when he got hurt I think.
That Boldin injury was so scary. When I first saw that I wondered if his career was over.
Between this game, their 48-20 Thanksgiving Day drubbing against the Eagles, and their 47-7 blowout loss to Matt Cassel's Patriots, it's almost shocking to remember that this Cards team was in the Super Bowl that year, and came within a play or two of actually winning it
I can't remember a team making the Super Bowl having so many stinkers in one season
They're division was weak, especially with Seattle on decline after the departure of Holmgren, (SF and STL didn't really pose a threat during this time), and when it came to the playoffs they first beat a young Atlanta team with Matt Ryan's rookie season, I think Carolina got overconfident and took them lightly, and then Philly just choked the NFC Championship.
Go look back at the ‘07 Giants vs the Vikings. Eli had 3 pick-6s & you never would’ve thought that they would be the team to knock off the undefeated Patriots in the Super Bowl
They were the first 5 seed to host a conference championship under the old format. Arizona had a crazy road to the Super Bowl. Fitzgerald having a career defining run doesn't hurt though
@@OsmosisMiller AZ was the 4, they won the NFC West
2008 NFL Playoffs

6)BAL at 3)MIA, 5)IND at 4)SD
NFC
1)NYG, 2)CAR
Wild Card: 6)PHI at 3)MN, 5)ATL at 4)AZ
BAL made it to the AFC Champ for a 3rd matchup with the Steelers.
SD (8-8, at one point 4-8 & trailing DEN by 4 games with 4 games left in the season) beat IND in OT in the Wild Card Game (Darren Spoles went off)
3/4 top 2 seeds lost (NYG as defending champion, TN after that strong start led by Kerry Collins as their QB, CAR where Delhomme imploded)
PHI went Full Reid in the NFC Championship
And that’s before talking about SB43…
Wow, you guys know nothing about football. Kurt warner is the reason they got where they got. Prior to the 2002 season, people had noticed a drop in Warners zip on the ball but Noone ever really bothered to address it. Then, right before the last game of the 2006 season vs the chargers, he tried on a glove that significantly improved his grip on the ball. You could tell during that game that at times he looked like the warner of old. The reality is in 2008, he was the league mvp but was robbed of that award by perennial playoff choker, Peyton manning. Look at Warners numbers in the 2008 playoff run. His defense let him down in the end
Lived in AZ my whole life and was 10 during this game.
That Boldin play at the end scared the hell out of me. As a kid, I thought he was dead when he first hit the ground and wasn’t moving. But then he came back. So much respect for him during his time in AZ
My boss bet me 50 bucks before the year they would make the super bowl and I bet Jaguars wouldn't make playoffs and if anyone remembers 2008 those were highly unlikely
Even has the classic cross field int that Brett Favre makes
Hahaha...yes!
From 8-3 to 9-7 all from favres arm that year and his cross field ints.
@@jordankelly2863 and his torn bicep in the last 5 games
The Cardinals made the Super Bowl that year and got blown out by 2 AFC East teams that didn’t make the playoffs. The late 2000s/early 2010s NFC West reminds me of this year’s NFC East
Everyone thought the 2010 Hawks winning the division going 7-9 felt odd, this year the team winning the NFC East could possibly have a even worse record than that 😂

Throwing a 40-yard TD on a 4th-and-1, it doesn't get much more Favre than that. 😂
This game is about warriors but I love how Kurt Warner leads both teams in prayer after Boldin’s injury. Truly classy guy and great teammate.
Vintage Favre performance. It's a shame that this team fell apart though.
Ah, the team didn't fall apart. He did. If they kept Pennington they would have most likely made the AFC Divisional round and maybe the title game.
Yeah as a fins fan, favre fell apart lol

Two Hall Of Famer Starting Quarterbacks Brett Favre#4 On The New York Jets & Kurt Warner On The Arizona Cardinals
after that boldin hit, i think kurt werner contemplated retiring from the game cuz he felt so bad about throwing that pass.
Weird game. Weird Jets uniforms. Weird to see Favre on the Jets.
This is one of the weirdest games i've ever seen
Farve had that lazer!
UNBELIEVABLE FIRST TD
So crazy when Boldin got knocked out at the end of the game. Excited for these two teams to play each other this week
Brett Favre went from Green Bay to the Jets and went nowhere, whereas Kurt Warner took the Cardinals to the Super Bowl. This was a great game. Thanks to NFL Throwback for this upload!!
@Tony Preston Yeah, I followed the Jets (for obvious reasons) pretty closely that year. The Jets were rolling until Favre hurt his throwing arm/shoulder in the last part of the season. It wasn't too well known at the time because he played through it, as he does, but his effectiveness went way down for the last month of so of the season, and the Jets missed the Playoffs at the end. Even with that they still had a shot at the Playoffs in week 17.
That seattle loss screwed them
Yeah he didn't do shit as a viking either
@@brettgb1314 Yes, if he doesn't hurt his bicep they win the SB. This was his best year to me. His most mature... and I've seen every one of his games since 2000.
@Keith Cousins Just Doing My Job My Friend
That 2nd quarter was the best complementary football I’ve ever seen
Anquan Boldin
A hell of a player to have on your team, gave it his all and left it on the gridiron... man I miss that 1-2 punch wideout tandem with him n Fitz ... but he got his with BAL
2:03 WTF offsides!!!!!!
What a one-sided bloodbath. Cardinals still somehow almost won the Super Bowl that year

@@anonymousanonymous-fg5rv that's what I said. Lol
Thank you for uploading this! The Jets were my "2nd favorite team" in 2008 because of Favre. I didn't get to see this game live because the Packers were playing the Buccaneers in Tampa Bay at the same time (ironically that's the next game on the schedule here in 2020). But anyway, I remember hearing that Favre threw 6 Touchdowns that day, and I wanted to see the replay on NFLN. Now we can watch the highlights here on CZcams! Also Dick Stockton is great at his job.
0:16 - The announcer was about to say "St. Louis Cardinals" instead of "Arizona Cardinals", smh lol
Brett Favre and the word "turnover" has such an iconic bond 😂😂
Just like mangini and the name mangenius?
Then he throws 5 count them ; touchdowns like a fkin boss !!!
So does the word touchdown
Ah one of those weird box scores
The Jets jerseys only give me a sad reminder that we got virtually zero throwback uniforms in the NFL's 100th season
I was at this game! I remember being disappointed to see them in their ugly throwback uniforms but Brett Favre was amazing that day!
When you see the Jets wear those uniforms, that is the moment you realize they were called the "New York Titans" their first three years of existence.
I kinda like them. Gives me a Notre Dame vibe. Of course I’ll always know the Jets as Green and White
How can you not love these jersey and color scheme with old New York Titans? I wish Jets go with these uni's again.
Crazy that a game this high scoring had no first quarter points.
Are you gonna upload the classic they had in 2012?
isnt that the really bad one?
Just simply type cardinals vs jets 2012, and you'll get a result right away.
Pls no. At least this game had some competent qb play.
2:06 classic Favre lol
Classic old age Warner. Jekyll and Hyde personified but was a truly great QB.
The NFL in 2008 was weird but not in a bad way. Watching Brett Favre play in that Jets uniform was even more weirder. I never heard the media talk so much about that Jets that year. The Jets were 8-3 at one point and then in the last 5 games of the season, it all went downhill and missed the playoffs. The Cardinals however went on to have a magical season. They had a fantastic playoff run and went to the Superbowl but lost to the Steelers.
Those seem like costumes from the 1960s when they were the Titans of New York. Why do I see this classic jersey rebirth?
That hit on Anquon Boldin. MY GOSH! I can’t get over that
I mostly remember this game for the Anquan Boldin hit.
That one game where the only thing you remember from it is that horrific hit on Boldin. It's hard to believe he came back from that perfectly fine.
I didn't even remember this happening
12:27 had me dying
Nerdy question: where do you guys get these games from? I know there's an NFL Films warehouse, so do you have to go to the warehouse, develop the film, and then put it on a computer? Or do you have a massive computer that already has every game on it? This fascinates me
I wanna see the damn 6 days to Sunday on here ! That's nfl throwback written all over it
@Keith Cousins They don't have all the footage
Think about the Disney Vault....
@Keith Cousins Awesome
Hated that guy for hitting Boldin like that
If Favre never got hurt, that Jets team very well could've made the Super Bowl
With the Bill's vs Titans this weekend, will you be posting Music City miracle or comeback win from early 90s?
Thanks for what you do
(Happy belated Football season!)
The Jets actually had the more loaded roster but it was the Cardinals that not only made the playoffs but nearly won the Super Bowl
I know alot people don't agree with me but mahomes plays exactly like farve bro is crazy how similar they are
That Cardinals D-Line was so stacked back in the day. We had Darnell Dockett, Bertrand Berry, Antonio Smith, and Calais Campbell.
Never knew Favre had his highest td day as a Jet!
Was at this game.. by far my favorite I’ve been to in 15 years of going to East Rutherford/MetLife
Crazy this was the only football team I saw play 2x the same season. I saw them early in the season against the Redskins then went to a thanksgiving day game in Philadelphia. The Cardinals lost both games & they still made it to the superbowl!!!
My classic Cardinals 🤦🤦
Back when the NFL was great two legends face off!!! Who remembers when Brett Favre was on NYJ? And I remember watching highlights of this game when Anquan Boldin got wrecked
I remember watching this game live at my grandpa's cabin 😁
New York Jets were actually the original Titans before Houston Oilers took the name
Does nfl throwback reply?
He was boutta say the St. Louis Cardinals😂 hella throwback indeed
Is it just me or were there so many more cool throwbacks like 10 years ago
I also remembee this game as one of the worst injuries in NFL history
We need some Lavernius Coles highlights.
Do you have Colts vs Browns Week 1 2003? I know there was no touchdowns that game but just a request.
I remember this for 3 reasons the Jets uniforms and Bolden hit and that the Jets went 9-3 at one point only to lose altitude and still be the Jets
Of course there’s no other infomuas turnover and touchdown battle then Kurt Warner and Brett farve
19:27
I think I just saw Dan Quinn.
Hey ya all Jesus loves u! I hope that news makes your day better, have a great one!
Imagine a NFL team losing 56-35 against a high school team
I was in the second level in the corner of the end zone of the Boldin hit and I legit thought a gun went off. Kurt Warner wasn't exaggerating when he said he contemplated retirement after this game. It was that bad in person. The mics don't pick it all up.
Jet Favre and the New York Bretts!
The title of this video could be the caption to Brett Favres football career.
Lol my dad abram elam was playing in that game
My man almost said St Louis Cardinals at the beginning
Ah yah the first house call for one of the greatest corners to do it
Farve always had great games when wearing throwback uni's even on the packers
back when the Jets were relevant
This was the same year the Cardinals went to the Super Bowl
I remember hating that Fox banner on top of the screen, it was so annoying. I'm so glad Fox nuked it finally!
Has anyone talked about those jets unis? there sick.
Those were the NY Titans uniforms, prior to being bought and later renamed as the Jets
Interesting to think about what the Jets' prospects would've been if they kept Favre. They made it to the next 2 AFC championship games with Mark Sanchez, so they might've had a real shot at a ring with a better QB.
B.FARVE VS K.WARNER NFL GREATS MATCHUP ARE THE BEST GAMES
I think Larry Fitzgerald is the only left playing in the league right now.
Who else misses these throwback uniforms?
that cardinals team proves once you make the playoffs, your record doesn't matter. You have as much chance as the 1 seed.
Favre vs Warner
Legendary Quarterbacks
12:31 It's so weird to see Larry Fitzgerald jawin' with a defender!
Is Fitzgerald Your Favorite Cardinals Player Of All Time?
@@tyreepowell8367 No but I've never known him to ever act out in any kind of way, both on and off the field. He doesn't ever celebrate his 1st downs or touchdowns either, that's how much of a class act he is, so I was thrown off when I saw him jawin' with someone on the field because I had never seen that before.
Fitz was scary man
Plz do top 10 super bowl of all time
12:27 FAAAAAAACK!!!
This Jets team with Favre I believe started 8-3 then somehow they collapsed and finished 9-7.
BICEP
2008 was the year of collapsing teams. Cowboys, Jets, Broncos, and Bucs which was probably the worst one 9-3. Lost 4 in a row just needed 1 win to make playoffs
Anytime you watch Brett Favre be prepared to definitely hear the word INTERCEPTION🎯😖
56 - 35. A fitting score for a game w/ those HIDEOUS jets jerseys. I mean c'mon are they at a hot dog stand?
One of the biggest mistakes the Jets made was signing Favre
More 2008 giants games we were dominate
One of these two teams would end up in the Super Bowl
The answer will surprise you

Warner VS Favre?! I was expecting Warner VS Butt Fumble. Er I mean, Mark Sanchez hehe. But now that I think about it this is from 2008 and Mark Sanchez wasn't drafted til the following year in 2009. So I guess it does make sense. Two old pros, Favre and Warner, leading their teams into battle. Fun fact: Both Warner and Favre have been to multiple Super Bowls but both only have one Super Bowl ring
