I saw Zach play this way many times at BYU, with many kinds of precise passes, even difficult ones. Not sure what magical essence of Aaron Rodgers might be rubbing off onto Zach, but I think it's confidence and better blocking more than anything. He's always been talented and hard-working. So maybe Aaron is helping him with confidence? Who knows

It is a bad comaprison, since multiple receivers,defensive and O-line were injured that was able to give texans the win against Broncos. I would love to see Jets win against a fully healthy team, so we will see if Zach is the same against the Dophins.
Wilson got drafted high for a reason. He has extreme potential. Initially he went to a rebuilding team , hadn’t adjusted to the speed of the game , O-line is always questionable and was asked for too much too soon. Rodger’s got to sit behind Favre for a few years before being expected to preform . Wilson has the talent to play the game if the Jets can be patient and let him keep learning from Rodger’s and build a better o-line.

Then he gets Nathaniel Hackett, who just came from a nightmare scenario, where he she shocked by giving Russell Wilson way too much of the offense . he constrains Zach Wilson, and makes him play scared rather than allow him to be the crazy talented off schedule playmaker that he is… as far as talent you’re correct he is elite. He’s every bit as talented at throwing as Aaron Rodgers.
But Aaron Rodgers got three years to sit in college, so he had seven years of high-level football before he played, and he was still bad his first season.

They broke Gino Smith, and Sam Darnold, and a whole list of quarterbacks .

@kevinhayden8551 as a Browns fan that's watched a lot of Jets football, Zach has never been the issue. The play call design that forces him to be over pressured and O-Line being demanded to do too much(also just a bad o-line in general) would make any QB look bad.

I'll give credit to Jets for playing a great offensive game for once. This is the kind of offense we would see if Rodgers was playing, but they actually prepared for this game.

Zach Wilson has been running for his life. The entire season in the middle of the pocket is collapsing so fast he cannot see throwing lanes.
The scheme has been terrible, but the protection is even worse…. How did Rogers get taken out to begin with? Sacked on the fourth play against a mediocre defense.
Quarterbacks are not miracle workers, even if they’re Hall of Famer … unfortunately Zach Wilson got scapegoated. But every time he has nothing to lose and they uncork him and he doesn’t have a rookie head coach and a rookie coordinator and a rookie quarterback back up, he has had flashes of absolute brilliance.
Since he got there offensively, they’ve been rated the 30th coaching staff in the league, the 27th game in the league and the 28th in pass protection …. of course the kid who is literally trying to benchpress the entire world is going to be the 28th quarterback in production.
If you’re a Jets fan you better pray that they get protection for Aaron Rodgers correctly and they start doing Max protect and a ton of motion so he can identify things quickly

Zach looked so comfortable, like he had nothing to fear. If he can find a way to do that consistently and play at the high level we saw from him against Houston, he'll thrive no matter where he goes next season. Of course, he'll need a decent O-Line.

WOW, this is a complete different Jets team than the one that played in Miami last week. Wilson was running out of the pocket and finding receivers down field, quick throws, the defense was swarming.
I really hope Stroud is all good. I love watching him play. It's too bad they lost Tank last week as well. Such a fun team to watch.

@@chr1s631 I’m sure that doesn’t help but there has got to be a lot more to it than that… lots of coaches are overly conservative with their young qb’s. They are failing to develop him in some deep way, or he just can’t seem to mentally grasp certain aspects of the nfl game because he’s never had a chance to actually be protected and make plays on schedule. It’s probably both and more. It’s a bummer though… it’s a joy

Crazy I didn’t attend many games this season after having season tickets last year because of poor performance but fan base was solid and tickets were high surprised to see how low tickets got today for the game and they performed A1 today , guess less people in the stadium makes them get their act together just happy to see my jets win
