Looked it up. Apparently a fan made it for him as a gift. So Johnny Cash got his caddy and it really didn't cost him a dime. Technically he even got it one piece at a time.... one complete piece that is.
There are at least two versions. I’ve seen some pictures on the Internet of Mr. cash sitting in a different one from this one. Looks like he and his fans had a good time with it all.👍🫶
And 2 stroke gets you banned! Johny cashes caddy was a custom made 572 CID v8 2 stroke orbital v8 2 stroke wiht power trapping valves. Johnny desisigned one of the most high tech DFI 2 stroke Caddy one piece at a time. Rotax 850 Etec turbo and Achates power power ACE 2 stroke!. One piece at at a time.
@@molonlabe9785 I love his song Convoy I heard it on gta 5 and I had to look it up. I then had to watch the movie too and it was great. I should listen to Classified.
Dont let this strange looking caddy fool you. He designhed a 572 CID v8 DFI 2 stroke orbital 2 stroke v8 thats a torque monster. Now the 850 Etec rotax skidoo is a resembence of that as well as Achates POwer cummins ACE 2 stroke and Mercury Optimax. The 850 patriot polaris turbo is Kenny Rogers designed 2 stroke!
My fascination with Mr Cash started when I was 6 years old, Im amazed that it took 15 years to find out he actually lived off the same road as me way up here in Michigan for a couple months.
Love this tune. As a lorry driver whos truck keeps breaking down, when I roll up to the workshop it gets played real loud, then I watch the fitters shake their heads lol. They do a great job and I wouldn't knock them. Iggy!!!
He also had a massive Country Hit! It hit No. 1 in the World on the Country Charts on CBS Records for 4 Weeks! By Far, one most successful hits of any forms of music in the world in 1976!
A lot of these old folk/country/whatever genre you put Johnny Cash in songs have similar instrumentals. They shine through lyrics and storytelling; which Cash was an absolute master at.
@@bigdawg77 You're not wrong. JC was a master storyteller. But in reference to this and @vstrum23s comment, A Boy Named Sue was written by poet and author Shel Silverstein.
Original gangster.Love for him. I‘m from Switzerland, 43 now. My dad liked Jhohnny when i was little. I didn‘t know the words but i knew this sounds bad ass. Now i understand the words, i lightens me up that i wasn‘t wrong as a kid
Thank you Mr.Cash for not being afraid to stand up for those of us who are being tortured ,starved, mistreated in prison. The OUTLAW LOVES YOU LIKE WE LOVE JESUS. I personally hope to meet you in that big circle in the sky you so poetically, beautifully sang about. Until then sir...
I'll say it again,A true "FISHER" body classic sedan classic .. RIP Mr Johnny Cash.He pulled right up to pearly gate and old St Peter was the door man. That old Caddy is around here some place. Now ol Johnny is the man in white....Rest well, see ya again soon!
Did someone from GM actually put this car together for Johnny in real life? I mean, I'm a car guy, I love cars, I'm at the Barrett-Jackson Auctions in Scottsdale AZ every year..... I can pick out what years the fenders, hood, trunk, and one tail fin are from. The left rear quarter is a '67 Eldorado and the right tail fin is a '64 DeVille. The right front fender is a '54 Fleetwood and the left front is a '66 DeVille. But what really blows me away is how they were able to mount either two doors on a coupe body or modify it for one door on a sedan body. How they got the two doors on one side and one on the other is a real engineering feat.
I haven't heard this tune in years , couldn't remember the name but put in johnny 49 50 51 and this popped up. The most hilarious song , thanks ,awesome
It is said a fella from Birmingham, England that is, did the same thing, built himself a Jaguar XJS when working in that factory, over about seven years.
He died 6 months before I was born but he lived a pretty good life because he was able to work for General Motors in Detroit, Michigan and he even built his dream car one piece at a time
He was dammed for sure till he got saved...FACT! His redemption came 1 Piece at a time till he put that drug demon down. Johnny go it right before he left.Amazing Grace How sweet the sound...
"I got it one piece at a time, and it cost me a million dimes!" Because Legos are f***ing expensive, especially when you're buying individual parts in small quantities.
Thats a great bit editing by adding Johnny and June cavorting about a car looking somewhat how I imagined. A mongrel for sure. This song takes me back. Stuff like this by VEVO costs a good bit to do and I think they do an awesome job of remastering aging tape or film.
I am so sad that neither the Finnish country musicians nor (more importantly) the developers of My Summer Car can possibly afford to license this song. 🇫🇮 This is not a huge car manufacturer country, this Finland of ours. But dammit if we don't get car shit done One Piece At A Time.
The fact that somebody a actually built that 'crazy caddie' for Johnny is hilarious!!!!

johnny cash had a massive lunchbox!
***** Remember, the big pieces he snuck out in his buddy's mobile home.
Mr Bewls Funny. He also took 21 years to "buy" everything.
He says In the song " and the big stuff I snuck out in my buddy's mobile home"
Yep I believe he says it's 3 1/2 inches in there somewhere.
+Mr Bewls He also mentioned something being long and black. Although he's white, you never know right...
If this song is never made into a movie, I will feel robbed.
Great idea! I'll go see that movie for sure! 😂 ❤

Johnny and June had a lovely relationship. It was a most touching love story.

I hate how VEVO is making money off this legend
but I like how it's here available for us to watch. for free. maybe they're just covering their hosting expenses
