Krup Voosh, ex-Jedi turned bounty hunter has rescued his daughter from a powerful shadowy cabal who have vowed their revenge! His ship has been shot down and now Krup, and his daughter Pit, are stranded with a broken down vessel and no allies to speak of.
This is a nomadic/caravaning playthrough with a big emphasis on gathering resources from quests only and building a Save Our Ship vessel. The majority of the modpack is caravaning, settlements, npc interaction, and other world additions to make not having a permanent base, in theory, fun!

I am glad you said that as the entire time the "wings" got put on I felt like it was a Klingon ship but could not figure out a name (despite 500 hrs in Star Trek Online)

Might be too late but I've had the same thing where the map gets fogged and you can't see the enemy ship and to solve it I save and and reload. Also to my understanding, the single engine bug is due to structures that aren't directly connected to your ship. Sometimes dismissing a wreck leave behind some bits of structure behind and it needs to be removed for the engines to work properly. An example would be how those training dummies were floating in space beside the... "shaft?" I just try to make sure I don't have any independent structures that aren't connected to the ship. Hopefully those solutions works for you too.

He said it's because part of the ship was built around wreckage (things that couldn't be reinstalled), but the mod can't quite tell the difference when a wreck has been "incorporated" into a ship
Does the mechanoid reactor/heatsinks behind the "shaft" count?
Please also try making sure everything is enclosed (besides hard points and engines). This includes the shuttle you refuse to park inside
I haven't gotten around to testing it myself but from my understanding and the description of the hard points I think anything not enclosed by walls is not considered part of the ship, even if connected

Archo life pod on a boomalope to make an archolope they can be used to milk exotic particles (it takes 10 Archo life pods to make an archothrumbo so it might take more then one to make an archolope)
Adding Sloppy to the ship wrote itself way better than Pheonix ever could
I can probably tell you why you thought you needed to rebuild them.
Last time you actually did this was with a little-known Space Pirate Captain called Bucko Drink and his famous, over-reinforced handheld mortar which somehow always ended up blowing up the all-important McGuffins you came for.
In fact, that could have even been a mid-series fix you implemented yourself, since I doubt the SoS dev thought someone would be using explosives to go on an artifact reclamation mission.

7:47 regarding you gun selecting problem, you can increase maximum number of things you can select in allow tool settings.
the reason not all engines are thrusting is; There are loose hulls from a scrapped ship around or old bits. You can remove debris from the map with one of the consoles in a fight. This is a known bug at the moment.

Its funny, space raiders wouldn't be a problem with some turrets mounted on the outside via hardpoints so, you know, as soon as they land they get gunned down by autocannons.
and this is a bit late, but the Bank mod which adds banknotes (worth 1000 silver per note), would have been perfect for this run with the amount of silver streamer has gone through.

I never noticed before that the archotech seed core thing looks like a person. Imagine someone with a giant head sitting at the edge of a pool with two arms resting on the concrete (baby).

If u get the large sensors then you will be able to see i side enemy ships before u break the rooms open. Extremely useful for figuring out where to aim to disable a ship quicker. Just get like 10 u have plenty of space.

This would be enough cheese to construct the moon from; but those fancy commando jetpacks that can jump through ceilings should be murder on the moonbase:
All those little outbuildings have power for the turrets stashed inside. The intention is that you have to fight through the mechanoids while eating slug turret fire; but if you can just jetpack inside you can skip that rather arduous part and just smash a few vanometric cells and force the mechanoids to come to you unsupported.

The flying shooting range might be the reason why you can't use your engines.

The one engine only thing is a confirmed bug. The authors of the mod are currently taking a break so it'll be a while till it gets fixed.
solars are great to fill ur capacitors up in downtime since you can cover your hull in it as an extra layer of armor the archo version was 1200w a piece and its only 1 block

8:32- you had that same issue with SOS previously, in that case you were able to assign groupings to sets of weapons and then you staggered firing them, no idea how you did it though, just that you did do it.

for the problem with not all engines firing the mod options for sos2 has a debug tool showing you loose ships much easier it might be some random transfered roof or something, its a problem of having parts somewhere that arent properly connected to a ship with engines
can you to fix blueprint the whole ship and console patch it in on new map and switch ship? a bit like what happens in space engineers a lot something buging out and the ship no longer works. Oh and maybe build a mouse cleaning droid so the ship doesn't get abandoned on missions^^

i absolutely love the mechanics and concept of save our ship. its one of the most interesting mods out there. almost to the extent of a full on DLC. but i really hate that it boils down to 'dedicate the entire ship to guns'

Can you not land the ship to fix the issue with the thrusters? I dunno anything about the mod (clueless) but I feel like that would create an entirely new version of the ship that wouldn't register as a wreck?

Put the pilot console outside the shield, enemy destroys it and ship becomes wreck, rebuild pilot console. Maybe that can fix it?

I'm not too experienced with the mod itself or with modding rimworld at all, but i wonder if you were to land the ship, it could reload it's status, and it might reload the wreck aswell causing it to no longer be consider as a wreck but part of the ship itself?

I might be misremembering but I believe you said you disabled the insect faction, so I'm assuming this is why there weren't insects for the hive pillar
the engine bug also happens when you have blueprints for me so maybe try removing blueprints?
Can you make the shots come in from a specific side? Like select the topmost ship but have the shots enter from the bottom edge?
