It is such a treat to watch Spanish magicians do coin or card tricks. Luis made the show and his slight of hand. Simply beautiful.

I thought exactly the same. He used the same line as the only magician who fooled Penn and Teller faster than he did.

@@jecky1772 Because he did a deck switch. And the face down cards were all king of clubs with his scribble on it. If you look at the card he forced on Brooke at the beginning and compared it to the one Penn picked at the end, the signatures were different. ☺
That look Teller gives Penn at 14:03. You can tell he was impressed with the move.

Penn and Teller knew exactly what Markobi was doing. They both had seen him do this act before when he won the award. They gave him the trophy out of respect and because they wanted him in their Las Vegas show. And he makes people laugh, including Teller 😂

He can't be the BEST fooler if I, a 71 year old dying moron was able to figure out his final reveal. But he IS very funny, unique, one of a kind and is a MASTER at card handling and misdirection.
I've seen the 2nd guy on CZcams before this, he is hilarious.
that "shut up you fooled us" guy did something extremely difficulty, he fooled P&T with close-up card trick. they've been doing that for like 50 years and still got fooled. i think the trick is not just sleight of hand, but it's his weird behavior, nobody expected it. no intro, no info. he just pretends to be incompetent, but it's all mis-direction, but at same time it wasn't scripted either. he went loose-handed and only followed certain things. he also did lot of useless things to make it even harder for them to notice anything. like that chocolate bar was not part of the trick and neither were the chips, it was just to drag it out longer and keep them guessing.
that's also why sometimes in combat sports some amateur manages to get a win over professional, it's all about the element of surprise. professional doesn't know what to expect.
Ir's completely scripted start to finish. He won the FISM world championships of magic and it's exactly the same routine.

That was one of the worst tricks ive seen penn and teller do. At 40:40 you can clearly see Teller sliding the half tomato off the table nd the whole tomato is in his left hand which comes up from under the desk. Oh well, probably at least 85 percent of people dont know how its done anyway.
Sad that the quality of this videos is limited, because in magic we like to see things clearly. Thanks anyway
I was alao disappointed with the mothers routine. It was just a variation of reappearing cards. Msom3 magiciams will make hundreds of cards appear in this routine. She changed it up and used cookies but only made a handful of them appear. She did it well but thats not a trick thats going to fool penn and tellsr. Theyve seen that trick a million times. A lot of the winners have used variations of an old trick that is pretty famous but they put a big twist on it and add crazy things to it that make it to where they cant figure out how they dis it.
Markobi:
For the final reveal, it didn't matter what card Penn chose as all the face down cards were the King of Clubs with his scribble on it. This is because much earlier when he switched the deck in hand to the chosen card he reached into his back pocket and did a deck switch. Which is why he forced the King of Clubs at the very beginning and when Brooke went to sign it, he scribbled all over the card. Very ingenious.. 🤨

@@deepdivedelight i said all the cards that were face down were king of clubs with his pre made scribble on it. Of course he had a few different cards but they were face up! He knew no one was going to choose a face up card. And it made people less suspicious. Come on. Use your head. It's the ONLY way he could let someone pick ANY face down card and change their mind and put it in his hand. And if you look at the original card he forced on Brooke his scribble is different than the scribble on the card at the reveal. That's because it wasn't the same card and no matter how good he is at scribbling, he can't do it EXACTLY the same way for over 40 cards!

@@Hmza92 Penn and Teller were not fooled. They had already seen his FISM performance which was exactly the same thing he did on Fool Us. They knew everything he did. But they gave him the trophy for 2 reasons.
1. They were not about to bust the FISM Champion of the world out of respect and
2. They wanted Markobi in their Las Vegas Show

A lot of magicians and mentalists have fool Penn and Teller and some have not. Even Penn and Teller have fool or not fool each other.
The only one that has not tried to fool the magic duo, is the host.
There's an idea.
If the producers of the show read this. Go for it.

Man, i wish i had just made my channel using other people's work. Would have been SO MUCH LESS WORK.
If anyone ever had doubt that Penn isn't sincere and honest with his guests, you just have to look at the way he tolerates the corny mentalism of the first act with the pure chaotic genius of the second.
He always says something nice of every act, but it's really obvious when it's out of obligation and when he really, really enjoys and respects a particular act.
Now i don't know about him telling the host to shut up.... That was surprising in how overt his disrespect of the her was.

The three cards he had teller pick is super easy. Notice how he separates them then makes sure to put the chosen one on top of the other only to take it right back apart to put it up on the board. When he puts the card back on top there’s a sticker of the picture that gets transferred to the back

Watch Markobis set again. The scribble marks on the card change from beginning to end. It is hard to detect but its there.
I did stop just 3 times and copied and compared, and yes they are close but different, and since it was his scribble on the 1st card, he knew how to get it close enough- still a great trick

The French FISM magician, they knew how he did it, I know how he did it, but it was so smooth, so well done, he deserved the trophy.
Those of us who have watched this routine repeatedly have a good idea how the ending is done (probably not entirely), I'm impressed with his handling of the deck. Especially repetitively flipping the King after discarding. Showing the 3 of Diamonds was a bonus. And palming 4 cards to look as one is next level skill when producing 4 Kings

God what a cringe first act with The Alans. i mean could you hold the magnetic pieces any less SUSPICIOUSLY? He was clearly sliding the magnet off of each piece to the piece that Teller selected. Stupid stupid stupid. How this act gets on the show is sad.
