    Hi All,
    This is my views on the 310GS.
    I hear a lot of bad stuff about these bikes and I wanted to put them all right. Thank you for watching and it would be great if you could LIKE & subscribe for more of this.
    The BMW G 310 GS is a lightweight adventure motorcycle in BMW's GS lineup, designed for riders seeking off-road capability and versatility. Here are some key features and information about the BMW G 310 GS:
    1. Design: The G 310 GS features a compact and rugged design, taking design cues from its larger GS siblings. It has a tall riding position, upright handlebars, and a high front fender, giving it an adventure-oriented appearance. The motorcycle offers a comfortable seating position and a relatively low seat height, making it accessible for riders of various heights.
    2. Engine: The G 310 GS is powered by a 313cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine. It delivers a balance of power and fuel efficiency, making it suitable for both on-road and off-road adventures. The engine is known for its smooth power delivery and strong low-to-midrange torque, providing adequate performance for various riding situations.
    3. Performance: While not designed for extreme off-roading or high-speed performance, the G 310 GS offers a capable and agile riding experience. Its lightweight construction and nimble handling make it easy to maneuver in urban traffic and navigate off-road trails. The suspension and ground clearance are designed to handle light off-road conditions.
    4. Technology and Features: The G 310 GS incorporates modern technology features. It typically includes an LCD instrument cluster displaying essential information such as speed, fuel level, gear position, and more. Some models may offer optional features like ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) and ride modes for enhanced safety and control.
    5. Versatility: The G 310 GS is designed for versatility, offering a combination of on-road and off-road capabilities. It can handle both daily commuting and weekend adventures on light off-road trails. The motorcycle's compact size and manageable power make it suitable for riders of various skill levels, including newer riders looking to explore the adventure segment.
    6. Ergonomics and Comfort: The G 310 GS is designed to provide a comfortable riding experience for both rider and passenger. It typically features a comfortable seat, an adjustable clutch lever, and an upright riding position. Additionally, the motorcycle may offer optional accessories like luggage cases and an adjustable windscreen for enhanced touring comfort.
    7. Fuel Efficiency: The G 310 GS is known for its fuel efficiency, making it an economical choice for daily commuting and longer rides. The efficient engine, combined with a lightweight construction, contributes to its impressive fuel economy.
    It's important to note that specifications and features may vary depending on the specific model year and the market in which the BMW G 310 GS is sold. It's always recommended to consult BMW Motorrad's official website or authorized dealers for the most accurate and up-to-date information about the BMW G 310 GS available in your region.
    Hope Your All Well
    Enjoy

    My second viewing of this excellent review. If I was getting a light bike for a runaround on or Devon Lanes I now think this would be the bike for me. BMW quality at a low price. If the windshield did bother anyone I noticed there is a nice looking MRA Vario available (I have one on my F900XR and it works really well).

    Just found this! I definitely had a problem with the small screen. I was bloody freezing, and buffeted like crazy before I bought a screen. Don't why they don't make the GS more 'adventure' from the start by adding a bigger screen and better luggage mountings.

    Another great review, man. I told you I was going to try and catch up on your videos...glad I came across this one. I mentioned before I own a g310gs, for two years now. The bouncy headlight doesn't bother me, I'm actually glad it gives me extra visibility to other cars and so forth. I've taken mine off road quite a bit and have fun with it there. Anything over 70mph gets pretty buzzy, but I Don't spend much time riding that way so it's bearable. My son rides a Honda CBR 500R and we did have a drag race the other day...I held my own through the first 3 gears but he pulled away after that. I'll do an owner 2-year review on it within the next month or two and post it to my channel, but you are spot on with your limited time review.
    You asked could it be your only bike. That is what I still wrestle with some. I have a CRF 250 for off road, so I mostly ride this on road. I go on group rides and keep up with people just fine. Even with my wife riding on it with me. I have found often enough that I wish it handled 75+mph a little better. But it is still my only road bike. My friends who ride cruisers generally can't keep up with me in the canyons, and bigger adventure bikes struggled keeping up with me off road...they all run away from me on straight aways, but I didn't buy it to ride straight for miles and miles. Anyway, I'm rambling...great review brother!

      @exeterrider  Před 4 lety

      Thanks, have you had any issues with it, flat battery's, etc? Did you get the stand recall sorted? And how many miles have you done?

    • @THE_SNAPP
      @THE_SNAPP Před 4 lety

      @@exeterrider When I took it in for it's 500 mile oil change they gave me a new battery...they indicated it was running low, but I hadn't noticed anything. Since then I have had to charge my battery a couple times because I let it sit too long in the winter. Since then I keep a trickle charge on it and start it at least once a week during the winter. Yep, I got the stand recall taken care of. There was also a recall due to brake calipers, but that also has been resolved. Mine also had a bounce in the front at about 40mph. They put a new front tire on at no charge and it hasn't been an issue since. I only have 1,500 miles on it. I only ride it for fun...I don't commute on it. I may start doing that some, but that was not a factor in buying it.

      Hi Vanya, I am afraid that me and the CB500x didnt get on too well (check out my review on it). I still think it is a good A2 licence bike but that is as fars as it goes. The Honda is also much more refined and they are bullet proof as we know but the 310 is just different. My gut is saying between the 2 I would have the BMW. If you asked the BMW or the 300R then I may swing towards the 300R but depends which way the wind was blowing that day. There wouldn't be alot init!! apart from the £1000 odd saving buying the 310!

    Hi mate, how does the engine compare to the CB300R, do you get the rattle/vibration that everyone complains about on the 300R around 5 - 7000rpm? Power wise I've read that the Beemer isn't any quicker than the Honda, what are your thoughts? It seems from your review that the GS is pulling about the same amou t of revs as the Honda in each gear. How does it compare against the 300R for riding position particularly back wise, I find the Honda is perfect for me as I can ride it for long distances without any back pain. Overall as a bike, better than the Honda, equal or not as good. Good review by the way. Cheers

    • @exeterrider
      @exeterrider  Před 5 lety +1

      Hi Jon, I thought you may be intrested in this one : )
      The beemer vibration is stonger at about the same revs . It's certinly not as quick as the 300R but the gears are longer which may be part of the reason for that which for me (and proberly you ) would make it nicer around town. For example at 30 I am normally in 5th on the R but the 310 is still in 3rd scratching 4th.
      It dos'nt have the refinement of the Honda but doe's have other things the honda lacks and is certainly less jumpy I found. But no for vibrations that you hate your better off with the Honda. Riding position on the 310 was much better,and the bars are at a good height, I would say your almost upright on it really. You would get on well with it but the vibrations would kill it knowing what your like with that. Hope alls good with ya mate!

      Great, thanks matey, just interested for the future whenever I come to change the Honda, probably stick with the Honda route. Looked at the G310R when it became available in the UK but due to the fact that BMW couldn't supply and a dealer in the Bham area who couldn't give a dam I went the Honda route. I know the early release of models had quality issues, hope they are now sorted for the owners who have bought one. Look forward to future videos. All best.
