  • How to print design to your cassette tapes?
    Super easy and fun way to customize your tapes.
    Just order some cassette tape shells online and use your creativity + printer to create custom type or design and "print" it onto the shells.
    In this video I'll show you from scratch how it works.
    You'll need the following things:
    - Nail Polish Remover
    - Laser printer (color or B/W)
    - Some tape or adhesive tape
    - Cassette tape shell

    Brilliant! Was looking into buying stamps for something like this but really don't like the idea of having to make a new stamp for every new artist or album I make. Also this looks way better than stamping imo.

    • @analogmixtapes3917
      @analogmixtapes3917  Před 2 lety +1

      That's a good point. Only thing is that when you have detailed images. It works better with a stamp and is a lot quicker to make the "prints". This method requires some work. If you have a large batch. It takes a while to finish it.

    I love this new method of printing directly to cassette labels. I've got a few questions I would like to ask:
    What sort of paper did you use?
    Can the cassette labels be printed as "iron-on" designs like tattoos?
    Will the ink stick to the cassette shell? Sometimes it's easy for it to be rubbed off.
    I would like to scan the original label designs and print a copy of them onto the tape. Will your method work for larger label sizes?
    Where can I buy the same C-0 shells you used?

    • @analogmixtapes3917
      @analogmixtapes3917  Před 2 lety +4

      I used regular printing paper. Just standard stuff.
      Ink will stick to cassette and wont be rubbed off. It might work with larger size designs, but you have to try that out a few times. I tried a picture, but that did not work out well.. but you can try your idea and see if it works. Shells can be bought online. Just browse google

      With smaller prints like this text. I used just regular printing paper. I also tried to do a full tape print, but that didn't came out the way I wanted. So I have to do more experimenting in trying to solve that. Don't use too much of the nail polish remover, since the paper will get too wet and might break.
