Way better purchase imo. Slightly more money than a standard raptor and much nicer/more capable. Picked up a 23 TRX a few weeks ago and couldn’t be happier

No question you get more bang for your buck in the TRX.
It’s lacking the luxury features of the Limited and it’s hard to hop into for women, but other than that it’s fun to play with but the steering isn’t as precise

One thing that isn’t talked about much is the sound system comparison. The B&O system in my Raptor is trash. Ram’s TRX has a major advantage here as well. Now, I know that is not why we buy these trucks, but as a daily driver it’s sad that my radio is mostly off. It’s literally embarrassing.

Hands down the better choice and I've had both Raptors and TRXs with currently having a 2021 TRX 66,500 miles and 0 issues and a 2023 TRX 2500 miles...My Raptor 2021 37" Package has had multiple issues and broken parts...Poor quality on the Ford with the Ram being exceptional quality parts and build....170K for an R is absolutely stupid....
Ram's prices are quite unreasonable too honestly, but they still make much better trucks than Ford does. Love my 22 Power Wagon.
I've also had an poor experience with a raptor. The quality isnt there with ford. Ram has been the best for me.
@fireant1272 Honesty back 10 or so years ago I would of said all Ford, but it's sad how the quality has dropped for Ford, so now Ram has the throne... Enjoy yours brother!
just came from F150 to Ram Rebel and am WAY more impressed with my Rebel than i was with my F150. as such, IF i were to go higher, i would definitely get the TRX before the Raptor or Raptor R. maybe one day....maybe....
I have a 23 Raptor 35 (paid MSRP, in CA) but the best value is the TRX. However , they just don’t hold the value the raptors do

No they are not! People are still willing to pay over msrp on eco boast raptors. Raptor R’s aren’t even available for any amount over msrp locally to me. If trxs were taken over the truck market than raptors would not be still going for over msrp. Trxs are getting sold for sticker and even some dealers are discounting them.
@@This_is_Sparta83 that was last year. Not this year. TRXs are a better value truck. More and more people are seeing that. Why pay similar for a V6 Raptor when you can get a supercharged V8 that's $50K cheaper than a Raptor R.
@@quitoduck No. raptors are still selling for over msrp. I agree with the trx being a better value but it was always a better value truck that isn’t anything new. But Dodge will never take over the sport pickup/truck category. Ford has always and will always dominate that category. There’s a reason why trxs were always available and raptor allocations were limited and over msrp. Try and get a raptor Bronco for less than 10-15k over msrp minimum lol
@@This_is_Sparta83 that's all because Ford's limited production numbers vs Ram's production numbers. Only about 2500 Raptor Rs made for an approximate total of 3000 Ford dealers in the US while Ram has produced over 10K TRXs.
This and Jeep 392 are the only domestic vehicles worth buying even for the price.
I have 14 Raptor twin turbo and I was waiting for the Raptor R then saw the projected price in Saudi $155k and changed my mind. Am going for a TRX $130k and still keeping Gen 1 Raptor

I traded my 19 raptor for a trx and I’m not looking back. The trx interior feels really upscale compared to the raptors ‘work truck’ interior
I love the TRX but they’re high on the theft list. Don’t need the headache from worrying that my truck may get stolen. I’ll be fine with a F150 Tremor
Plus the R has the massive oil leaks. Not worth it.

You and many other reviewers have said the regular Raptor drives like a Mercedes S Class. How does that factor into what you recommend (TRX or regular Raptor)?

Looking to switch into a truck from my SUV but my concern is how's the reliability? Daily driving this thing 80-100k miles in 6 years is my plan. Fuel cost isn't remotely a problem but those out of warranty repairs might kill it.

Hey are those seats the same as the 1500 limited night edition?
I like both but one feature I like on that Raptor is the built in generator in th bed . I mean you can literally power a house with it not that you’d do that but I’ve blown truck fuses by just plugging in my electric 2200 psi power washer . So for me personally I like the TRX more but the Raptor features are much more versatile.
Buy a portable generator from Harbor Freight, did this with my 22' TRX. Guess I saved $30k over the Raptor R MSRP

Raptor R doesn’t have a reclining back seat, launch control, and a head up display, and it looks like just the regular Ecoboost unless you are Raptor fanatic and knows about V8 version.

I paid 130,000 for the Raptor R: drove the TRX, it’s not even in the same ballpark as the Raptor R, the ride in the Raptor alone beats the TRX, the TRX drives like a tank with a big engine
130,000 Raptor 110,00 TRX, I’ll pay 20,000 more for the better truck. 170,000i would do the 37 package raptor over the TRX
@@frankstallcup8720you sir are correct . When your only used to plastic trim / cheap Interior all your life , once you get in a TRX it Definitely gives you a tank kind of feel.
Dream truck!! Such a shame Ram has killed off the TRX. Wish I had the money to get one of the limited "Last Edition" TRXs. They'll be collector's items after 2024.
So how much does it cost to look cool again. Because I can't think of any other reasons to own these trucks trx/raptor.

Week earlier how great the Raptor is now it’s the TRX again which hands down has a much nicer interior.
All these comments about the Ram being better than the Ford- currently I'm a dyno tester here at F-150 assembly Dearborn Michigan where we assemble different variants of the F-150 including the Raptor. The Raptor R is a beast- not just under the hood but where it really counts if you're a Baja enthusiast- the suspension, yeah it might be on the expensive side and fundamentally considered the Lincoln of Baja trucks- but it's not for everyone, so if you can't afford it just say so and go with your TRX and settle for less. RAM is too closely related to Jeep and we all know how good quality Jeep is.. if you don't then you're just being ignorant
My raptor had so many issues. Thank goodness for the lemon law. Fords quality is lacking big time. Way to many issues. Rams are a way better built truck.

Jokes on you the truck doesn’t actually cost that much. It just cost that much with dealer markups. If you want to give dealers $50k-$70k tips for selling you a truck than. You’re pretty special.
Seems like the Raptor R performs better when pushed to its limits from all the reviews I've scene. Outside of that though I think the TRX is overall just better when you consider what you get at this price point. Still crazy capable, and decently priced and the best looking of the bunch

the only issue i had with the trx is that everyone tries to steal it 24/7 I had to deal with 3 incidents where they tried to steal my truck.

Nope, I went from a 2021 Raptor V6 to a 22 TRX. Both loaded and I would do TRX over the Raptor, even with the comparable V8s and price...
