- We slow things down with some mindful slow stitch embroidery and make some colourful party/summer bunting out of scraps of fabric and left over threads. This is a great project if you are a stitching beginner or if you have lots of little bits and bobs floating around that you don't want to throw away but don't know what to do with!

Ginger cat is becoming as famous as Larry the Downing Street Cat!! 🐈👑
I love how GingerCat is such a great stitching companion!
I like your studio it has been involving, I love seeing some of your past projects on display!
Ginger cat looks very handsome with this crown ;-)
I bet Ginger Cat loves the warm studio lights and doesn't want the impending upgrade.
Thank you for the lovely video - inspiring!
That is a very cute idea for slow stitching. I always enjoy what Ginger cat is up to too. Just look at him in his crown! 😍
I have done embroidery for years. But love the no rules of slow stitching. The bunting is adorable. Thank you for the video
Love the bunting! I would like to make a colorful cheery one to attach onto the edge of my patio umbrella. Thankyou Sarah! Sir Ginger Cat looks very regal wearing his crown!👑
Slow stitching is great. I'm making a quilt out of my slow stitched squares.
How lovely - I now have a purpose for my grandmother's fruitcake tin (biscuit tin) full of bits that are too pretty to get rid of and too small for an actual project!
Not enough time to do all the projects I would like. Absolutely love your videos. ❤ Thank you for sharing your knowledge. 🙏
thrift stores are also a good place for scraps I find containers full of scraps🥰
Thank you for introducing me to something new.
Sarah, thank you! Your video is a nice and relaxing beginning of the weekend! ❤
I love bunting and this looks great for me. Thank you Sarah
Thanks!
Love the bunting .... I'm off to grab some stash & have fun 😊 TFS
Love this Easter is coming so might make one for a gift
Love slow stitching. Thanks x
Loverly Bunting. 👍
Time to raid myBead stash.
TFS SH, take care & have a great Bankholiday too. ❤️🙂🐶
Beautiful
Thank you for the video Sarah. I have been gathering scraps to build a stash for slow stitching so it will be lovely to see other projects. I am going to try a cover for a stitchy journal following your last slow stitching video. Ginger cat was made for that crown and by the sounds of his purrs obviously feels the bunting is for him. He is obviously the King of your stitchy studio.
I really enjoyed that Sarah thank you. I have toyed with wanting to make some bunting for ages, but it always seemed such a faff and a waste of good fabric for it to just get all wet and soggy - not to mention a greenish tinge - out in the garden!, but I really liked your much more straightforward way of doing it, and the idea of making smaller, pretty bunting for indoors - although I can see I am really in desperate need of a decent bead stash!, yours is seriously amazing!!!
You can't have too many beads Rebecca! x
💖🌹lovely getting my scrapes out today 😻🐾🌟x
Thank you for another interesting, creative video, Sarah. Your videos are always enjoyable and informative. Take care, and happy stitching (slow or fast ;)
yippee....thank you so much
Love this idea.
What a great doable project! Thank you for the wonderful idea and excellent instruction. Love your videos xo
Fun as always to watch you creating while I work on my own slow stitch down the garden path wall hanging, which I’ve just shared a video on too. Looking forward to your next episode too and more of ginger cat’s adventures of course! Cheers, Christine
❤so fun❤
Nothing like a beautiful bunting for the summer! Yours is perfect and made me want to start stitching one for me as well ❤
Love the project! Thank you for share! Perfect to do with the kids :)
Great ideas!
So cute! Planning to make two strings for the windows in my studio!
Very nice.
Thanks
Thank you Micki x
I love this idea, Sarah. Just the thing I think for when between projects. Or in your case while healing fingertips! Bunting is so cheerful somehow, I don't know why.
I had to chuckle at your advice for the well-ventilated area while fusing fabrics. I couldn't help but visualize what may have led to that recommendation! 😊
I don't want anyone suing me because I haven't stated the obvious!! :)
Awesome
Because bunting flutters in the wind, I think both sides need to be attractive. If the bunting is for the wall, or shelf edge indoors, then backing fabric wouldn't show.
Bedankt
Thank you Tineke!
Your bunting is so cute. New to your Chanel and slow stitching. May I ask what size the bunting triangle is ?
They fit in the palm of my hand but you can make any size you like!
I sewed some outdoor bunting for a centenary celebration at the allotments. I thought about both sides. Tick. But it wouldn't hang down and the wind wound it up. So plan B was to drop a penny into each triangular pouch! It hurts when it hits you in the face!!! Plan C?
Thanks!
Thanks Kay! x
Thanks!
Thank you so much Carmela! x
Thanks!
