Quick aside for my Space Exploration brothers regarding Spidertrons. If you load a spidertron into a cargo rocket and then aim it at a planet without picking a landing pad, it will be deployed and placed so you can remote control it without needing to be there personally. It also gets some basic equipment, like bots and some chests that you can use to get the rest of the cargo out and ready for use.

@@Binichmoses2 You'll have to spend a non-trivial amount of time in space before spidertrons are even unlocked, unless you're using modded spidertrons or things have been rebalanced.
@@Eidako yea im not even dreaming of spidertrons atm. im trying to figure out to make space science right now. but i have my first rocket launch pad which is mostly automated so thats nice :D

I like to think that in the center of every spider is a fish bowl with a touch sensitive screen like in the pigeon guided missile. (look it up)

When my boi arrives to coordinates, you zoomed = you doomed. I mean it was scary af seeing him arriving first time, when i commanded him, forgot about that, zoomed in while doing something and after minute, this thing made me scream
Green rocket spiders, with only shields in grid. Best spiders.
Gets kinda boring after a while. I've tried so many builds, but it seems like I always wind up with a balanced utility spider. Good shields but also speedy, with a general box of everything for building. I hate having to run back to base for refilling =(

Thanks to mods, I have all but the pistol available to me for weapon options in my spidertron army. Nests aren't just removed, they're erased.
I'm imagining that the reason there's no pistol option is that some scientist in a research lab somewhere is testing out spidertron armaments and the like, and he hands a Glock 17 to one, watches what happens, and solemnly marks the expirement down as a failure on his clipboard; like, "The pistol is too innefective to use, the spidertron has to sacrifice one of its walking legs to weild it and refuses to stop holding it like a moron"

I have one spidertron as my primary travel device, once as nuclear rocket launcher and 5 to follow the nuclear one just for an extra 'pop'.
