    Using nitrile gloves while installing a windshield prevents fingerprints that have to be cleaned off later. Learned that after installing a few shields on my previous motorcycles. They provide some grip for slippery little parts and can prevent those little cuts and scratches you usually get on such projects. The black kind that are little thicker are best for working on cars and bikes. Was very smart to go back to the dealership and talk to the parts guy to find out why the shield was loose. Another helpful video. Thanks

    • @RykerRydes
      @RykerRydes  Před 4 lety +1

      Yup, the gloves would have been a great idea. And yes my fingers do get cut up a little, and dirty, but I don't mind. I like getting into the project! I guess that's why I am always barefoot?

    The 4 bolts attaching the windshield to the mechanism don't come off? It seems the shield is what gets in the way of putting the supplied 4 bolts in. If they didn't make the shield able to come off with the 4 bolts going through the windshield shame on BRP. Bad BRD! :)

    Thank you Beth! Holy smokes, I paid $150 just to get my foot pegs installed and that bracket and they claim the suspension has to be adjusted as well and the computer to recognize the passenger… definitely needed to save some money once the windshield came in! 🫤

    • @RykerRydes
      @RykerRydes  Před 2 lety +1

      The on board computer does NOT need to be adjusted with the OEM pegs. As soon as the pegs are down, it activates a sensor so the Ryker knows you have a passenger.
