I am so ready for this series. I need to lose about 60-80 pounds so I will be using these tips. You look great Jeff. You’re seriously an inspiration for many of us out here just trying to get through life. Thank you for taking the time to teach us a thing or two.
I really do appreciate the kind words and so happy to share. We all know it's a battle but all we can do is try, then fail, then try again 😁🍻👍
This is so very informative! You look completely different! Thank you for sharing this video!
Great idea with the turkey I’ve lost almost 40 pounds in five months. You’ve definitely motivated some folks. I really appreciate it.
Congrats and ty Tim. I love reading comments like this. Keep up the great work and ty again. Cheers-J
I hadn't watched a griddle guys vid for quite a while and I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw Jeff. Wow, well done ✅
Ty and welcome back. Cheers-J

Great video and awesome Jeff !!!!!! Thank you for sharing.
Ty ty Rocky. Always appreciated-J
Congrats to you Jeff
Love it, been doing keto like diet for 12 months and lost over 100 lbs, I'm struggling to loose the final 100 lbs so this video is timely!
Awesome Mike and congratulations. That is a huge feat. With me , seems like I had to keep changing up the routine every 20lbs or so. Kept getting stuck. I'd even have higher fat protiens like steak and non breaded Buffalo wings one week here and there just to jump start the system. Congratulations again, keep up the good fight bud. Cheers-J
Thanks for sharing! Looking forward to more from you.
Ty Janie. 🍻-J
Great going Jeff!
Ty Andy. Cheers-J
Thanks Jeff - very informative so far - looking for more videos on this subject. Well done.
More to come! - C
Thanks for sharing! I'm going to see if my wife wants to do this with me.
Please do more videos on your diet and how you lost weight. It will be so helpful for many of us. You look great!
Very much appreciated. Tyty and will do. Cheers-J
Nice Turkey disassembly!

On its way Smokey Duck!! 😁👍 Cheers-J
@@TheGriddleGuys looking forward to the information.
Great, thanks for sharing. Movie reference is originally from Jaws though.
So we have been told. Lol. Tyty. Cheers-J

Well done! Best part about a successful diet is getting that routine established, looks like you nailed it. Congrats my man.
Ty bud. Very much appreciated. Cheers-J
Bigger Boat JAWS boys Roy Schneider , well done on the weight loss great ideas with the Turkey best wishes from Ireland 🇮🇪🍺🍺🍺☘️☘️☘️
Cheers North Red and ty.👍 👍👍. My wife has been dying to travel there. May be in my future. Thanks again-J
Congrats Jeff. This looks a lot like my Keto diet (mostly protein... minimize carbo hydrates, and sugar). I am down from 277 to 237. I still cheat etc, but I figure better than doing nothing. You look great.
Awesome job and tyty. Keep it up. You must feel great dropping so much. Cheers-J
God bless you guys. I made 3 resolutions this year, 2 aren't going very well. One was to cut off sugared drinks, it's harder than you might think. I keep staring at that damn Mt. Dew in the check lane cooler. I keep a cooler of a mix of frozen water and chilled water in my car. I'm winning on the soda. Kicking the sugar habit is hard. Working on my other resolutions.
It's such a battle bud. If you have a setback, just start again and move on. You've got this. Cheers-J
Awesome tips Jeff! You look incredible, keep up on the great routine! Cheers fellas 🍻
Ty bud. 😁👍🍻-J
Keep the diet tips coming!
Ty Gregory and Cheers-J
Outstanding! Really appreciate you sharing this information with us.
Ty R&R. 👍🍻-J
Jeff you guys are great!!! Love the videos! I would love to know how many calories you eat in a day if you don’t mind sharing. Thanks.
Absolutely and ty. I try and stay under 20 carbs and under 1500 calories. Not fun or easy but doable. Cheers-J
Thanks for sharing and I’m excited to see more about your journey. I’m also down >100# and have maintained for several years now but I always gain inspiration from others journeys. Congrats to you again! Reneé
That's awesome Renée, ty and congratulations. Hopefully I can pull off what you have managed to do with the maintaining. Seems just as hard as losing so far . Thanks again-J
Well done Jeff. Carbs are the enemy in wait loss. Great video.
Ty Peter. Cheers-J
That’s awesome Jeff! I’m just curious what diet are you doing currently?
Ty. Currently just low calorie, low carb. Not fun but easy to figure out what I should or shouldn't eat. Thanks again-J
I do mine in a big roaster and let it cook down for 24 to 36 hours.
I also add powdered ghost pepper into mine to give it a kick.
This also keeps everyone else from drinking my broth - lol.
But yeah, there is nothin like a firm jellied broth on a cold day.
I even put chicken feet in one of my batches and it gelled up just like jello!
I know it sounds gross but it really adds a ton of callogen.
Just be prepared to cut your hair and your nails about twice as often.
Thays awesome. Love your ghost pepper trick. Lol. Cheers-J
Smashburger Tacos you guys should give em a whirl?
Healthy and happy is the only way to be!! Congrats on your diet success!! 👍😊
Ty David. Happy seems to be more elusive than healthy. Lol work in progress 😁👍🍻-J
Awesome share! I do basically the same exact thing, usually with chicken but I throw in a chunk of ginger root to the broth for added health benefits and I use my Instant pot -only takes about 3 1/2 hours, 2 hours of actual cooking, the rest is time used pressuring up and afterwards on steam release. I use that broth for so many things-makes the best rice too!
Great idea with the ginger. I'll have to try that next week. Ty and Cheers-J
I love the griddle but this series looks so good. Can't wait for the next one.
Ty Mark. With any luck it could help some people out a bit. Need to start somewhere. Thanks again-J
Great job Jeff ! Looking great ! I don't care what Nate and Chris say ! Keep it up !:
Lol. Kidding aside I've been a pain in the ass for them. They have been true team players and extremely supportive. It's been an interesting journey. Thanks again and Cheers-J

Barely hanging on. Lol. Cheers-J
Super smart, Jeff! Thanks for sharing👍😊
Cheers Bobbi. Appreciated!! 😁👍🍻
That line is originally from Jaws the movie your referencing was quoting Jaws
😁👍. Ty and Cheers-J
I WAS JUST AMAZED HOW YOU DID THAT TO THE TURKEY! OMG. Jeff You're hired! lol!
😁cheers CJ. Editor did a good job on that one. I usually do it I'm my sink to contain the mess. Not great for filming tho. I had turkey everywhere lol. Thanks again-J
Congrats on your weight loss. I lost over 50 lb several years ago and turkey was a big part of that. Do you find that you crave salt now? I sure did.
Ty Keith and congrats. I've always been a salt guy but oddly enough with intermittent fasting I've actually managed to cut it back a lot. Replaced with hot sauces and peppers to get that extra flavor without the bloated feeling that salt was giving me. Odd stuff when you start to feel how different foods make you feel. Well at least odd to me. Lol. Thanks again and Cheers-J
@@TheGriddleGuys Thanks for the reply. It is odd indeed how we react differently. During that time I never felt bloated by salt but man, oh man did I ever crave it. And I used it plenty. I was drinking at one - two gallons of water per day though. so I suppose a lot of it flushed right through me. Again, congrats on the weight loss. I know you must feel like a new man.
Definitely some work goes into this, but looks like it is well worth it. Can’t wait to see what you make out of all of it.
Had some soup today. More to come!!. Cheers-J
Jeff you look great, when you get to your end goal. Do you plan on eating differently or just stick to the strict diet? I used to work out everyday with weights and had a good amount of muscle. Being 46yrs old now it's hard to find time and get motivated after working all day. I have about 20 lbs I would like to lose and this video helps thanks.
Ty Adam for commenting and good luck to getting back to it. I really don't know yet what I'm going to do down the road. Seems like as soon as I take a weekend "off" all my old habits are still there. Hopefully I'll be at goal by end of this month/middle of next and I can start testing out different approaches. I'll be sure to post. Thanks again-J
fear and loathing in Las Vegas!!
😁👍🍻
Great job on ur weight loss Jeff!
I started ketovore in May 2022, lost 50 - 60 lbs... but caved in a little in Dec n early Jan. I was 250, now I'm 190, I've gotten more strict again and starting to prepare my protein on weekends like you. I just use an Instant Pot, and eat mostly beef n seafood with salad. Love making my own spicy cream cheese dip with celery and carrot sticks!
Awesome and congratulations bud. We know it's not easy. Glad your back to it. Big fan of the instapot too btw. Thanks again-J
Twisted here, Jeff you have done great I am down 100 as well but even the surgery I had is not fool proof you must maintain a healthy diet you are doing great 👊
Awesome job twisted and absolutely. Have a couple buddies that went that route as well and like you were saying, still need to do the work. All of us big guys and girls would love for that magic pill to come out but sadly for now it's just really hard work. Lol. You feel a lot better dropping that much weight? Sometimes I can't believe it when I walk by the mirror. Still shocking. Lol. Not any better looking but still shocking 😁. Thanks again for all the support. Cheers bud-J
Congratulations!! You look great and I bet feel a lot better.
Huge difference in how I feel. Surprisingly so. Much appreciated. Ty-J
Loathing in Las Vegas just in case you were still wondering
Odd but great movie. Thanks and Cheers-J
Jeff you look great, what is your weekly food that you eat on a daily basis?
Ty Frank and Cheers. A typical day for me is some eggs and broccoli or a saute of mixed greens and protien around 10am then maybe a soup or salad around 2, 230. Goal for me is try and stay under 1500 calories and only eat between 10-3ish
Congratulations on your weight loss, I am looking forward to your future informative videos. I also hope to begin following a similar plan soon. I don't want to be too intrusive, but may I ask if your alcohol consumption varied much during the weight loss process? I want to give myself the best opportunity to succeed and all information relative to your success would b helpful. Thanks for your help.
Ty and absolutely not intrusive Bernie. Great question. Being honest I had to pretty much cut out drinking almost all together. Was tough on the guys seeing as we are essentially a drinking and cooking channel. Add to it that alcohol hits you twice as hard when your doing low carb or in "ketosis". Besides the alcohol slowing things down you also have to count the calories. In 1 yeti of jack and diet coke I think I figured it to be about 600 calories. I would have at least 3 or 4 of those during a cook. Numbers don't lie and for me I was trying to stay under 1500 calories a day so it just didn't fit. Hopefully this is helpful and doesn't dissuade you to much from trying it out. Thanks again and Cheers-J
@@TheGriddleGuys Thanks, for your helpful, honest, informative, inspirational and timely response. I'll look at your success as an inspiration in my challenge. Job well done.
Jeff, why did you not add the juice from the sous vide to the broth? Is it because of the seasoning (salt)?
Spot on David. I tend to oversalt stuff I sous vide because it tends to push a lot of the salt back off through the process.
Awesome video Jeff ! What veggies or salad do u have with your proteins ? I’m on a low carb diet 30-40 carbs a day and I’m down 18lbs in in just over 2 weeks and want to make sure I keep a consistent loss coming every week . I love the protein ideas tho .
Congratulations Tim. Sounds like your killing it. I'm a huge fan of mixing kale, spinach and romaine. Plus I love having kale and spinach in the house for quick a sauté here and there. I also tend to add a hot pepper to just about everything. Gives me more of a full feeling. Keep up the great work. 👍 Cheers-J
we might need a bigger boat is jaws. the line from johnny depp is from BLOW.
Way to go Jeff, I've personally dropped over 50 lbs since June and I know how hard it is. Way to go man. Keep it up -- I'm sure you feel way better every day which is even bigger than looking better!
Absolutely and congratulations. Huge victory Chris. Ty for the compliment. Much appreciated 👍🍻-J
Great vid. Keep the good tips coming. Are the yeti drink containers with your name available?
Ty Chris. Unfortunately no on the yeti's. We did look into it and the price just wasn't worth it for our subs. No real discount and then with shipping from them to us and us out we would be selling for $50 to break even. Maybe that will change. We just couldn't stomach selling something for $50-55 that dicks sells for 40😔. Hopefully they come across our channel sometime and appreciate how much liquor run through their cups lol. Thanks again-J
👍
Would it be worth it to put the juices from the sous vide into the stock?
Ty for commenting. Unfortunately the juice tends to be too Salty . I over salt the protien because most of it gets pushed out while cooking. If I had a larger pot of stock I could have used but just a personal preference. Thanks again-J
Fantastic video and congrats on the weight loss💪🏻. one thing I’d add is imagine if you smoked the turkey instead of using the sous vide 🤯.
Ty and absolutely agreed 👍. I bet it would be awesome. I love the set it and forget it with sous vide but now you have me thinking 🤔 . Thanks again-J
Looks great Jeff and congratulations!
Funny thing is I'm looking to start on a similar journey this week, turkey's definitely going to be on the menu.
Although I have to ask, why in the world would you dump out the delicious sous vide juice when there's broth on the stove haha
Thanks again fellas
Ty Tony and cheers. I know it's not easy to let that broth go. Is hard for me too. Lol. Whenever I sous vide I tend over salt the protien before cooking to get the flavor in the end. Results in a really Salty broth. Not a bad thing in general but for my diet I feel like it slows me down a bit. Good luck with starting down the path. Different for everyone but for me , just one day at a time , set attainable goals and just keep on going even if you miss a few here and there. Thanks again-J
@@TheGriddleGuys Thanks Jeff. Week 1 in the bag, being able to munch on turkey made things way easier. I used chicken breast in the past but turkey is way cheaper, you get the broth, and is pretty much indistinguishable from chicken. Take care
Congrats on the loss Jeff!! Hey guys, I was just wondering if you guys know what Barbequed shrimp was and if there is a way to incorporate it into the griddling? I had it down in New Orleans at a restaurant called Deanies. Probably one of the most delicious dishes I've ever had. Thanks, and keep up the great work!!
Ty Roy. Never did a bbq shrimp before but sounds pretty good. We can definitely give it a shot. Ty-J
How did the weight loss make you feel???
Honestly, really good on multiple fronts. Ty for asking. I just went snowboarding last weekend and it was a totally different experience. Also has helped a lot on the mental front as well. Besides the effort , really no downside
Hey Jeff you look Totally different congratulations my friend that’s awesome I wish I could do that wow ❤️👍✌️💪🏻
Ty. It's been an interesting road Skippy. Guys have been great and I really feel like a different person. Much love-J
Don't see it in the thread, where did you find those ziplock bag containers?
Zip Quicker Ziplock Bag Holder/Food Storage Bag Stand/Baggy Rack Holder/Hands-Free to Pour Leftovers/Filling Plastic Freezer Bag Stand/Bag Prep/Comes with both Gallon & Quart Sizes a.co/d/9g0xK98
We will have to get that updated. Ty 🍻
Thank you for the great video and you look amazing. It is always great to have a binge day, but we would all be much healthier if we educated ourselves more about the things we eat and what those things do to your body. We only get one body so wearing it out long before it’s time is just not the best idea. We don’t add salt to anything in our house and haven’t for 30 years. You can make food incredibly flavorful by experimenting with more spices instead of just using salt as a quick fix. Carbs in large quantity will always be the foe of weight loss and protein is alway the super hero! As much as I love red meat, eating too much of it just isn’t something your body appreciates. There are so many alternative healthy delicious things to eat and you can save that steak for a cheat day!
Couldn't agree more and ty. I swapped out salt with hot peppers. Odd I know but I love the heat and it also makes me feel more full. Thanks again-J
What do you for breakfast and stuff...only poultry?
Breakfast usually isn't till 10 or so. I typically have some form of eggs and veggies, like spinach or broccoli. Sometimes I do a quick saute with chicken spinach kale and mushrooms with a bid dollop of salsa on top. Nothing I ever thought I'd like in the past but have come really enjoy now. Odd stuff how we change. Thanks again-J
@@TheGriddleGuys I just can't do Kale, i have tried it almost every way possible and it sucks no matter what i try. hehe but I do love spinich and well most other veggies and stuff (not vegetarian at all)
Get Nate’s brother Dave on here Jesus he lost 150lbs I think lol.
Legit. Dave is the man!!! Cheers bud-J
Just not drinking alcohol and sugary drinks, fast food, you will lose a ton of weight! Won't be as fast as yours but more enjoyable eating different meals!
Absolutely. Cheers Jim
BEEF, BACON, BUTTER, EGGS
Skimming the fat? What do you do with it? The fat is what you want. 👍
Ty for commenting. Cheers-J
How many lbs of protein is in all that broth??
That I would not know. Guessing more than store bought tho.
I just5 lost 150 pounds and have kept every bit of it off for a couple years now. I never once even considered what I was eating, or calories, or protein or any of that crap. I never even drove past a gym! Piece of cake! Nothing to it at all. ANYONE at all can lose weight as much as they want to. I don't see the benefit to anyone telling them how to do it. If someone really actually wants to get healthy (pertaining to weight) it couldn't be any simpler. It isn't like some "great achievement" at all. No, I don't consider my weight loss to me some big deal either, it was effortless.
Cheers bud. To each his own. We welcome and appreciate all comments . 😁👍🍻
8:53 PM Tuesday. Hey Jeff why don’t you use those frozen Turkey breasts you talked about at Thanksgiving ? Oops nevermind , my bad . You did it this way to get a good Broth & save money .
Just finished the last of that broth today. Good stuff. 👍
Thanks for the video. How much exercise went in to this loss? I have lost 100 before but it mostly exercising and less dieting.
Congratulations on your loss. Exercise has played a pretty big role for the 2nd 50lbs. Started off with mostly dieting but slowly added more and more Exercise. Last 5 months or so I usually Exercise for about an hour to an hour and a half 6 days a week. I actually have come to look forward to it most of the time. Odd. Congrats again. Cheers-J
What's up with that 10lb onion?
You go with what feels good. It just felt good. Lol. Cheers-J
The turkey looked great, but the broth didn't do it for me. Awesome job losing all the weight.
Ty Mike. 🍻-J
JAWS!
😁👍🍻
JAW"S
👍🍻😁
Needs a bigger boat is from JAWS
😁👍🍻
There is a lot of meat on those wings!!
I know I didn't film it but I do pick through all the bones and save the protien after the broth is done. Not great on its own but good in a soup or saute. Cheers-J
Guys, make your own ranch. Don't buy that glue in a bottle. It's garbage. I love your videos so I'll pretend I didn't see it.
😁👍🍻
Dont eat smash burgers 3x times a day! Ok, I can try!!!
😁👍🍻
Oh, a gay Turkey sounds legit.
😁🍻
