- City showed their class as they blew Darlington away with three quick-fire second half goals, handing Darlington their first defeat in six games, Askey’s men go nine unbeaten in all competitions, with a 3-1 win under the LNER lights.
The leagues form teams met at The LNER Community Stadium, looking to continue their respective unbeaten runs, with The Minstermen looking to make it nine unbeaten and get back to winning ways after a battling draw away at Hereford, whilst Darlington looked to go above the hosts into the playoff places.

Bloomin heck. This is a big change from when I used to watch York at Bootham as a student in the 70s. Stadium looks brilliant. Second goal looked a bit dodgy but as a Darlo fan in France, I’m biased🙄🤦🏻♂️

Fair play to the keeper (Darlo's) throwing the ball at that fan. Would've been better if he managed to kick and aim at him too. No need for the fans to be on the pitch.

What happened to highlights for the first 15 mins when Darlo were on top? Very even game until the flukey first goal, then the second was yards offside. Undoubtedly York deserved to edge it but you did get the run of the ball and benefitted from a dodgy lino. Best of luck for the rest of the season, probably see you next season as there is little chance of you beating any of the current top 3.
