Eliminating salt may lower your pressure by 10 to 20 mm Hg. Eliminating meat, eggs and saturated fat and oils will lower your blood pressure. Avoid sugar, alcohol and processed foods
I lowered mine from 149/99 to 118/70 mm Hg (my last measurement) by walking, lifting dumbells and going whole food, plant based, no sugar no oil no salt diet (WFPB-SOS). Even cutting meat down to 4 ounce per meal might make a difference.
I lowered mine from 149/95 mm Hg 99 bpm (133 bpm when I had attrial flutter and congestive heart failure) when I was 61 to 118/70 mm Hg 61 bpm a couple of days ago (now 68 years old). I started walking 30 minutes several times a week as prescribed by the cardiologist, used the stair to the 4th floor and lifted dumbells. Cardioversion and Abalation got rid of the attrial flutter. Walking reversed the congestive heart failure. Cutting back on meat and eggs got my cholesterol to normal. A little over 3 years ago I switched to Whole Food Plant Based no Sugar no Oil no Salt (WFPB-SOS) which is Vegan diet without junk food to get my blood pressure down and reverse my type II diabetes (following "Mastering Diabetes" by Cyrus Khambatta and Robbie Barbaro as well as other WFPB-SOS doctors, dietician, chefs and atheletes. I lost 50 pounds too, but gained back 10. Still need to lose 50 pounds ideally.

Low fat diets promoted for over 50 years.. Obesity rates have skyrocketed over the past 50 years. Ketogenic and Carnivore ways of eating are setting trends on reducing obesity and inflammation which I’m sure will reduce blood pressure and increase heart health ❤
i am 66 and have a sys of 150 and had lymphoma got that fixed and needed to lose weight had tablets for the blood pressure nothing found cutting out sugar from mostly soft drinks dropped it down 30 points so best diet would be veg and meat and some fats and take in little starch problem veg now less nutrition so grow your own with old varieties and you get some excercise too but do not over do fruit as sugar and fructose plus modern varieies sold in supermarkets have less nutrition
Yes, I got high blood pressure during COVID, stuck working everyday overseas. Sitting at a computer or teaching, small apartment, ate late and went to sleep late, not enough exercise, and someone gave me Himalayan salt which started me using more salt (iodine) and lots of pasta as it was hard to shop. Maybe stress, but it's worse now that I'm home. I was fine before COVID.
A large amount of work every day can indeed cause a lot of stress and cause high blood pressure. Foods high in salt and sodium can also cause high blood pressure. It can only be said that current life has a lot to do with high blood pressure.😮💨

I’m sure technology today can work out a way to measure blood pressure without the patient knowing? Just looking at the monitor can spike BP when one knows what is at stake with a high reading! Breathing exercises and Dried Hawthorn Tea can help.

I do breathing exercises by slowly breathing while I'm in the waiting room before I get my blood pressure done. It lowers the numbers 😊
