My left ear started to ring pretty high pitched about 40 minutes ago. Listening to this video for a few seconds almost mutes it momentarily. Pretty cool.
I started having tinnitus when I took antidepressants (Effexor), a possible pernicious side effect the doctors never talk about when they prescribe you some. Had to stop antidepressants (they were about to screw up my entire nervous system) but the tinnitus continued. This video helps me a lot...good luck to everyone, you’re not alone!
So I found this video a couple of nights ago and started listening to it. I was using computer speakers, good ones though and, my ears began popping just from listening. Not loud pops almost like my ears were trying to push some wax out or something. I only listened for a couple of minutes. I went ahead and hooked up my headphones today. My ears have probably popped about 150 or more times while listening. I'm not listening loud, just about the volume of my tinnitus. If it does nothing else it is masking the tinnitus while I listen to it. I listened to it right to right and am now listening right to left. Same effect going on. I am 54 years old and can't recall a time in my life when my ears didn't ring. I have small ear canals and had severe ear infections constantly till almost 12 years old. I have listened to more than my far share of loud music, gone to concerts and stood in front of stage speakers. I was In the Army for a few years assigned to field artillery units. The relief of not hearing the ringing even for the 30 or so minutes was heaven. Now that it's done, the ringing is back. I saw someone mention earlier the ringing got louder afterwards. I really don't think so I think I just notice it more. I've had it all my life. I will continue to do this at least once a day and will get back with you periodically to let you know my results. Thanks!
Tinnitus can be the result of way too many things, certain therapy may work for some people but not for others depending on the root(s) of the problem, in other words, there's not a standard cure for tinnitus as tinnitus itself might be a symptom caused by the malfunction of an internal organ like the liver or kidney, other causes include sinus, high cholesterol, spleen problems, etc in chinese traditional medicine, they relate tinnitus to kidney failure or malfunction, drinking plenty of water and following a detoxification program has really helped me lower my tinnitus, i have gone days without hearing it and when it comes back is not as loud as the previous last time, it has taken me months trying to follow a healthier diet but it is worth it

From what I have read, you have to match the sound you hear for each ear and raise the volume to just barely above the sound your tinnitus makes. There is a tunable frequency generator free online that will help sorry you have to google that. Good luck.
TheEgg185 no, you have to stimulate all frequencies... masking is not the same a curing. New research in psychology suggests that you should stimulate your auditive neurona to fire synchronicly by stimulating all the range of frequencies you can hear

I've struggled with it a couple times now due to massive scarring on eardrums from childhood, and perforating my eardrum a few times as an adult. One thing people don't tell you when you first get it (which they should) is that eventually your brain simply becomes habituated to it. It takes something like 3-6 months. I imagine it takes much longer if you obsess over it. My obsession stopped once I realized it was just a sound, and not effecting my overall health. Go to an ENT, get hearing checked and managed, get something that produces white noise (especially helpful for sleep) if you need to, and move on with your life. There's no cure, just management.

Jesus, even at the lowest possible volume this hurts to listen to. It's like a knife being stabbed into my ears. I'm so sorry for people that experience this on a constant basis.
My ears are so sensitive that I can hear a CRT television from across the house. CRT TV's emit a high frequency tone when turned on. The picture is great for old school gaming, but man is it loud. My family can't hear it, but I still can... To confirm it wasn't tinnitus, turning it off makes it go away...
Me, too. Noone believed me when I told them, their TV is still running even if the screen was black. I heared them in Standby-mode. OK, todays TVs are much more better with those disturbing high-frequency sounds. I even can hear people standin up from their bed, two rooms away, the deep, bumping sound of the feet touching the ground is telling me when the doughter of my girlfriend stands up late night. :-) - And since dezember I have a temporarily tinnitus, one day like this sound, another day its gone like it was never there. Every day I wake up is like rolling the dice of noise. I must get rid of it, it drives me crazy. I allways was proud of my outstanding hearing, now it turns into a hex. I cannot ignore it, my brain focuses on every detail of this noise from hell. Fuck... sorry, just had to tell it someone, thanks for reading. :-)

Those are frequencies where my hearing has gone. I tried to stimulate tops of my inner ear hair cells. Tinnitus reduced over time due to body's self healing.
Do not bother the ringing will go away, bother and it get worse, it is triggered in your brain, in the stress reaction section of it. This goes for 99 percent of the ringing, DÒ NOT BOTHER< YOU SURVIVE!
Hehe "Do not bother" Kneister ??? It does not go away if you have tinnitus. it will go away if you hear a loud pop as a kid I heard that many times and the ringing went away but too much exposure to loud noises and damage can occur to the small hair like fibers in the cochlea. it is the damaged fiber responsible for transmitting the frequency to the brain. that is why we hear it when nothing is going on. Do not panic. you can escape the sound if you need to by masking it with ambient sounds like the TV, shower or something like this but know this: some people feel as if they are trapped in a box and can not get out and that is nothing to be dismissed. I have lived near a woman who took her own life because of this. I just wish someone had told her the ways to get away from it when you have to.
It can get better if you have tinnitus, it is a mental proces, you must not interpretate the sound as important, that is very difficult, you should not listen to "horror stories, of people who are desperate and whant to die, be positive and mask it if it gets anoying, do the things you liked before you had tinnitus, then it can get better. Mine is a lot better then before and i am not on the end of my recovery, every month it gets a little better and i bother lesser. Sometimes it is as good as gone, this works for most people. Yes there is no medicine to take it away, but you can recover and get your life back, it is not easy but possible!
Looks like you have mild Tinnitus and is not affecting your day to day work which is a great thing. Please take precautions to ensure it doesn't worsen. I suggest you not to hear loud music through earphones or stay too close to speakers at musical concerts and blaring traffic. Wear a ear muffle when you are surrounded by high intensity sound.
I suggest experimenting what suits you best to reduce the ear ringing. Maybe put an ear plug to your healthy ear. Depends on frequency of your hearing loss

Right On !! That's what I'm talking about. I thought the cops were here or a UFO was taking off or landing out front. That is some crazy high pitched sounds. I suppose some people with tinnitus need the real high pitch tones to match with their degree of ring. With the head phones on it is really wild.
Thnaks
After few minutues of listening ringing disapears but it comes back quickly... i dont even have to use earphones(headphones) to make it disapear, it makes everything the same wearing them or not.
Is there any way to make silence last longer, any mathod?
Repeat the process few times a day silence should gradually last longer. I suggest without headphones
Oh my tinnitus family 🤩
I met internist and ent and neurlogist already. Internist sent me to ENT but I was told that there is no cure for tinitus and he gave me drug for cerebral. Only neurologist told that my ears must be trained. I have been training for several days, but there is no improvement yet.

Thank you. With this video, I just found out that I hear less in my left ear than the right ear. Somewhere I had read that hearing loss can also be a root cause of the Tinnitus. May be this is what I have. Not sure. But I am starting to feel lettle better after listening to this. Thank you.
I tried this again today and I am getting the relief that I need. I have high-frequency sound in the ear and listening to the high frequency is helping me bring down the tinnitus.
My cats go crazy when I listen to this haha
Nah... if it hurt them, they would leave the room - cats don't put up with pain! :) I think they're just really curious about what the noise could be and where it's coming from.
Be careful!!! Your cats will plot their revenge. Be very kind to your kitties.
I am using headphones so they won’t take my soul when I fall asleep.
My tinnitus started like 2 days ago, Ive been having otitis on my right ear this last year and over night I get this constant buzzig sound on my right ear, I also have a skin problem that contributed to my otitis and my ears also produce a lot of ear wax now I ask myself if this is going to be a permanent damage or its just a hearing loss from ear wax and the otitis I had...
Your ears do not cause tinitus it is the sound receptors in your head.
My ear all of the sudden went into a numbing sensation this afternoon...sounds were amplified and o think the tinnitus was so loud that it creating my ear to lose sensation inside like my ear went numb inside...these therapies are bringing the ringing sensation back into my ear but the numbing is gone THIS HELPS thank you so much for posting these

It might never go away completely..but certain apps to include this one..substantially lighten the pitch of the noise and make it manageable..there you are..positivity not negativity
That's awful:/ I still have hope for you
The ringing I hear sounds nothing like these sounds. Do you need to listen to a sound that's the exact frequency as the ringing to help?
From what I have read, you have to match the sound you hear for each ear and raise the volume to just barely above the sound your tinnitus makes. There is a tunable frequency generator free online that will help sorry you have to google that. Good luck.
TheEgg185 no, you have to stimulate all frequencies... masking is not the same a curing. New research in psychology suggests that you should stimulate your auditive neurona to fire synchronicly by stimulating all the range of frequencies you can hear
Check out apps for notched music ( Tinnitus Therapy Tunes 8 ) match your tinnitus to a frequency then listen to your music.
This is the exact sound I hear in my head in left ear for months XD

This stopped the tinnitus in my right ear but sadly didn’t help my left ear. Could you do a range for the left ear?
Are you familiar with the ringing frequency in your left ear? If so check the pinned coment, match the sound and frequency
Jesus, even at the lowest possible volume this hurts to listen to. It's like a knife being stabbed into my ears. I'm so sorry for people that experience this on a constant basis.
No joke, for me this is the most pleasant and relaxing thing I've heard in ages...FOR ONCE the damn sound comes from outside my head...

Did anyone ever healed tinnitus?
I'm very disapointed that noone works on the cure.
We are not 100% even sure where it comes from. I guess mine is not coming from the brain because always when i touch TMJ it changes the sound and i cant find any informations about that case, even when i speak with doctors they dont know what to tell me.
I heard about oto313 but cant find any specific information about that drug that is upcoming.
Anyone having some infos about any new drug or healing methods?
Possible tympanic membrane injection. It is awful to go though but it seemed to help me, and lots of people say it does.

Cool 😎
Tinnitus can be the result of way too many things, certain therapy may work for some people but not for others depending on the root(s) of the problem, in other words, there's not a standard cure for tinnitus as tinnitus itself might be a symptom caused by the malfunction of an internal organ like the liver or kidney, other causes include sinus, high cholesterol, spleen problems, etc in chinese traditional medicine, they relate tinnitus to kidney failure or malfunction, drinking plenty of water and following a detoxification program has really helped me lower my tinnitus, i have gone days without hearing it and when it comes back is not as loud as the previous last time, it has taken me months trying to follow a healthier diet but it is worth it
Hello. Very interesting! Do you live in brazil? Who are his doctor?

Um... this is what my tinnitus sounds like... so that's already in my ears... haha
Those are frequencies where my hearing has gone. I tried to stimulate tops of my inner ear hair cells. Tinnitus reduced over time due to body's self healing.

I only hear ringing when nothing is going on. Is that normal? And do I have tinnitus
same here.
It does not go away if you have tinnitus. it
will go away if you hear a loud pop as a kid I heard that many times and
the ringing went away but too much exposure to loud noises and damage
can occur to the small hair like fibers in the cochlea. it is the
damaged fiber responsible for transmitting the frequency to the brain.
that is why we hear it when nothing is going on. Do not panic. you can
escape the sound if you need to by masking it with ambient sounds like
the TV, shower or something like this but know this: some people feel as
if they are trapped in a box and can not get out and that is nothing to
be dismissed. I have lived near a woman who took her own life because
of this. I just wish someone had told her the ways to get away from it
when you have to.
I tried this for about 30 seconds and that was a HUGE mistake. My T flared up worse than it's been in years. I should have known better.
I tried listening for the first time and my tinnitus seemed to stop after 60 years of having T
All done on my computer speakers!
When the sounds fluctuates it gets close to my T.
If you're going to a concert, wear your goddamn earplugs

This is close to sound i hear. I don't get it.....how is sound in my ears and sound on video suppose to help ?
play with headphones and put the volume right below your tinnitus level . doesnt have to be loud... itll help..
Your brain is coping up for lost frequencies.. when they are there from the outside, your brain stops playing them
My tinnitus is louder than the video. I have the volume all the way up.
hector nadal thanks I’ll do that.
My sound
Maybe its because this tone was closely matching my T, but I've found that listening to this video once was greatly reducing its volume for several hours, and the effect lasted overnight when listening for an hour. I stopped as my T seemed to be ebbing away and wasn't an issue (after a recent head cold).
Hello everyone.
Is tinnitus cause hearing lose? I have hearing lose on my right ear.
Thank you.
Dvt smr definitely..! As long as you have extra noise in your audition...more difficult to have good audition...and normally dr trying to put a hearing device to alleviate the tinnitus.. but doesn't help
r we supposed to listen all the time?
Listen to it as long as you feel comfortable with it. I would not recommend more than an hour a day.
My tinnitus was caused from radiation treatment. During treatment I could hear a boiling sound in my left ear. The doctor confirmed this.
I hope that this helps.

Do you have more hearing loss in your left ear?
my left ear is stable at 11,5kHz. It's my right ear that was more severely damaged.
I too feel as if my right ear has less capabilities vs my left lol
left ear is most damaged. Had huge attack of vessel spasm last summer....took 6 months to resolve.
why 6kHz on right?
The recording is adapted to my hearing loss frequency of each ear.
i dont even hear this sounds high pitched in my left ear 😆
why synthesise tinnitus, this does,nt do anything except trigger my tinnitus.....ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
