- Le Défi de César (Caesar's Challenge) is a Madhouse attraction incl. several preshows at Parc Astérix in France.
The story behind the attraction is that Julius Caesar tries to recruit visitors to attack the Gaulish village. After a failed attempt (during preshows), the visitors are boarded on a ship to be sent to the Gaulish village. Digital windows inside the ship let the visitors see the sea, giving the illusion that they really are on a galley. The galley is then pushed over by Asterix and Obelix and a giant octopus, making the boat turn back and forth.

This is a very unique madhouse attraction, I just wish there was an English translation of the dialogue.
Thank you for watching and your reply. It's very hard to find a transcription/translation of this attraction, but we're currently having some succes with newer editting techiques. We're considering re-doing the video with improved visuals, enhanced audio, and subtitles in multiple languages. We hope this will make it more accessible and enjoyable for everyone.

Ah, well that's a loss. It's what set this attraction apart from others.
@@WackyWeazle Yes, it was the best attractions in the park, and I remembered it dearly. I went again in september and it was not there, hopefully it's just under maintenance.
Also the Transdemonium, the "Haunted Mansion" ride, has closed. But given this year new coaster, Toutatis, it make up for it.
I recall Transdemonium, which was a cross between a dark ride and a mouse coaster. It was truly one-of-a-kind. I have an onride video somewhere in the "archives" of it. This year, I'll try to post it on our channel. Enjoy Toutatis!
