Who would have thought that as two teenagers we would be here today? | Henrietta & Robert’s Wedding

Henrietta and Robert met as teenagers at Hungarian Dance Camp in Toronto. They returned year after year, getting to know each other better as they grew up together. Their friendship grew into a relationship, supported by their families by driving them back and forth from Toronto to Kitchener and borrowing their vehicles. There is something extraordinary about knowing each other as teenagers and growing up together- you just know so many facets of your partner, and that’s definitely the case for Heni and Rob.
After years of being together, it became clear that it was time to take another step in their relationship. Rob proposed to Henrietta on their dream vacation to Germany. On an unseasonably cold and rainy day, Rob planned a private tour of Neuschwanstein Castle. Little did Henrietta know that Rob had a ring hidden in his backpack the entire time. They walked over to a bridge overlooking the castle, and Rob handed Henrietta a lock that said, "Will you marry me?". He got down on one knee and proposed. In complete shock, sometimes to this day, Henrietta said yes. Instantly, the rain and cold did not matter. They toured the castle afterwards and explored nearby German towns. It IS the perfect engagement!
They then began planning their wedding at Whistle Bear Golf Club in Kitchener. We had the privilege of meeting Heni and Rob on New Year's Eve of 2019 at a Starbucks and began our friendship then. After Covid rocked everyone’s plans, they shifted their wedding from the summer of 2020 to 2021. Their dream wedding of their families in Canada and Europe coming together to celebrate shifted a bit, and after even more threatened postponements, they decided to stick with their plan for Jul 15, 2021. We’re so glad they did because just days before their wedding, the Waterloo Region shifted to Phase three, and they were able to have all the guests that could come and a dance party! It was such a gift to be able to breathe easy and celebrate these two with even fewer restrictions than we had anticipated. They had their ceremony in a stunning Catholic Church in Kitchener, Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church. They then continued their party with Four All Ice Cream, amazing food, corn hole and family time at Whistle Bear. It was an amazing day celebrating what has been a long time coming for these two, and we were so honoured to witness and capture it.
