That truck 🛻 is too beautiful to risk that way!
German way of thinking : nothing could happen because boat and car are both TÜV approved and insured.

Hello, I answer you, I think in a funny way, with a poem by Trilussa in Romanesco dialect, which is called "life insurance". Unfortunately the double translation, first in Italian and then in English, will deprive it of its original beauty and musicality, but the meaning remains the same.
“Someone says there is a company in Rome
of people who ensure life;
I've never understood this bullshit
and I say it's a lot of foolishness.
indeed it seems to me a heresy,
because when the hour is established
that the good Lord wants to end it,
what would you want to insure ? your aunt's bones?
it is a speculation, imagined
to make money behind people's backs
who believes in it and gets buggered.
Mr. Francesco, a relative of mine, tried it:
with everything that he had secured
he died by accident anyway.”
Besure
That move
@@solino2002andrea Whomever wrote this poem is an idiot, and doesn't understand the purpose of life insurance. It isn't for you, it's to provide a financial cushion for your loved ones when you pop your cloggs.
The lord has no say in when you die, because A. The lord doesn't exist. And B. Even if the lord did exist, pretty much every religious scripture states directly or indirectly that the lord doesn't interfere with humanity except in very rare and specific cases.
A highly unusual risk for a very beautiful truck.
Gotta get pumpkins across the river somehow. Obviously this was the most practical way
@@calebmitchell2999 Coldn't leave the car behind, with a half gallon of gas in the tank these days..
For those curious, I did a little research on the truck in question. It is a 1954 Framo/Barkas V 901/2 light lorry, with a 900 cm3 two-stroke Otto motor.
I'll take 2.
Wow . Must not be as cool to them as it is to us. Who would even dare think of risking it like that
Sounded like a 2-stroke. At first I though it was the boat motor until he stalled out then restarted
I thought that motor sounded like a two stroke. Thanks
And that guy is going to pilot that boat with a stick! As if loading the truck onto that barge wasn't dumb enough!
That's why there is no ending to this video, it either ended in disaster or it didn't go anywhere. I dare you to show us the rest of the video. I will give you this much though, it's a beautiful truck.
I think the same
Right
Clip on their page and look at the videos. There's two more one that briefly showed the truck afloat on the boats then another showing it pull off on the other side
Just trying to figure out what the reasoning is there
Lol. There's other clips of it floating on the boats and unloading.
Translation: An experiment for me, but old hat in the Spreewald: in the distant past it was customary to load the tractors onto barges to take them to the field, as no roads are available there. Since I still needed a photo for my new calendar, I decided to do this experiment and persuaded my friends, experienced boatmen from Lübbenau, to take this action. (?)
Thank you so much 👍 😊
@@kimosabbe50 You're welcome.
What is it? a Diamond T....or an International🤔🤔??
Amazing
Stay tuned for old truck recovery video.
I wish they still made trucks such as this one!
Did they call it Maurice because it spoke of the pompadeus of love?
This small truck sounds like a DKW 2T... Congratulations from Brasil.
The Little Wonder.
I think we’re gonna need a bigger boat.
And possibly some outriggers !
That is one beautiful truck
I would not do that if that was my truck.
It is not their truck
The driver probably said.." Hold my beer and watch this"!
Just 1 question. WHY?
Why?? this is you tube why not?
A movie scene. I guess
To go accross the river lol
To get to the other side lol
Just proves you can never underestimate the power of stupidity
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
My dad lost his truck to a shipping company that drove it off a 5 ft tall loading ramp. RIP little truck, you'll be missed.
The fact that that many people were so stupid in the same time at the same place is scary. They do not deserve to have that wonderful of an antique truck to pull a stunt such as this.
My stomach dropped as soon as I saw what they were trying to do with that nice old truck....I wonder if it made it back onto land....
They made it look like it was everyday thing. People are amazing 👏
I really thought that was a stupid idea 💡 and both would end up in the water sinking lol 😂
American Soldiers made entire bridges out of those Boats, when they were Liberating France and invading Germany. I think they even drove Tanks across those bridges. A Grand-Uncle was in Army supply, and had many pictures of those bridges. The Structural Bridges had been bombed out.
Super! Schön das Du das mal nachgespielt hast. :)
That's the most terrifying thing I have ever seen. 😲
And also the most stupid.
God loves those men very much, or they would all be dead.
Ooooh Mann...
If this happened anywhere in the United States, an OSHA manual would burst into flames.
I have often wondered what an OSHA inspector would react to the old farm equipment I operated on the farm. Especially mounted corn pickers and combines. Open xhains, belts, pulleys, and shafts everywhere.
Dont worry everyone the truck made it out okay! If you look in some of his other videos you can see he posted something about the truck 5 years ago.
That truck is not very heavy, but with a full load if gigantic pumpkins??? Any chance they are there to balance the weight?
The faith these men had in both products is off the charts!
Me being an American, I would have said over my dead body she ain’t going nowhere!!!
Super!
👍L👀i📸k🚣e🚛!👍
MANNMANN! Was für eine Aktion! Aber Danke fürs Filmen!
i wouldn't try that a second time!
Very cool little truck. I really hope it didn't end up in the water.
I can't believe nobody was worried about the pumpkins.
I refuse to believe that they finished this without dumping the entire truck in the water. There is just no way that this ended successfully. Where is the rest of the video? It is unstable beyond belief, and the center of mass is way too high above the hull of the boats.
I was certain that it was going to end up in the drink at the first attempt.
😳 This is one of the most pointless, dangerous, reckless and idiotic strategies for transporting a vehicle across a small body of water that I've ever seen! I'll never accept the notion that ^this was the only option to move this truck from point A to B! There are OBVIOUSLY other vehicles there, and i know they didnt all come over on that ridiculously small "barge" thing. So how did they get there?
What's even worse(hard to believe, I know), is that this is obviously a carefully restored antique truck, which has ZERO business being put in ^that situation!
@@HighlanderNorth1 why shouldn't the classic working vehicle be worked like the classic sports car is raced?
It went fine, the other videos show it.
Two boats give it incredible stability.
As long as one boat handle the weight
It should be fairly stable. Given the size of the boats I think it would Float pretty good.
@@openyoureyes3113 You go try this with a couple of toy boats and a toy truck. Then report back to us how many times you dumped the truck into the water. This setup is incredibly unstable. The boats are not tightly lashed together and the truck make the center of mass of the whole assembly (boats, planks, truck, and payload in truck) way too high above the water line. This is like balancing an upside-down pendulum. I has to be done perfectly with continuous correction so that the truck will not dump into the water. Here is an example. >> czcams.com/video/meMWfva-Jio/video.html

@@bjoernhallandsen5287 Sie haben Ahnung ??? Übrigens ich bin einer von denen die den Framo verschifft haben. Auch habe ich schon ganz andere Sachen mit dem Kahn transportiert .
Рисковые ребята , а машина класс!
Nice sounding engine. This is another great example of how people do things differently. This is a normal day for these people.
It sounds like a 2 stroke engine in that truck.
Danke , fantastic I,see from Vila Remo ( Village ) in São Paulo Brazil
I don't want to be involved with anyone who wants large pumpkins this badly.
Nice! That's the bridges we used to cross rivers way back then
Crazy! I would try it with someone else’s truck
Wish I could say the real story is that kackling 2 stroke in that truck but this isn't going to end well. Shame that truck made it many decades to end up in the hands of someone who disregards physics.
Well that's what happens when you trust some moron to handle your shipments.
Great job, some times this are the situations and resources thst we have, and they took the challenge. This is a great show of
analisys and dexterity, but at a high risk, I wonder if it had worth the risk
Are they NUTS??? !!! . I was not sure if I should put a question mark ,or a explanation point .
Vocais foram corajosos 👍😀🇧🇷
I would like to know how you stabilized the gunnel of the boat nearest the land so this did not simply turn over the first boat since the first boards stop on only the one gunnel. I have seen this done on large boats, but they are much too big to roll over.
wird mir nach 8 Jahren vorgeschlagen
The whole time I was anticipating a beautiful truck going under water.
I thought I was the only one that takes my pride & joy restored C10(that took 3 yrs) on boat rides.
Wow … P & O car ferries have really changed since all those sackings!
Was it unloaded safely?
Thank God, I thought I was going to spit my drink out my nose.
Its beyond me taking risks like this, stupid in first place and then with a restored truck that beautiful.
Obviously the boat is resting on the bottom, it didn’t even sink an inch
That crazy 🤪nice truck

Agree with all comments about the beauty of the truck.
Nice truck.pity we didn't see what happened next.Maybe the camera went in the water with the truck
Pretty sure that is the most hair-brained thing I have ever witnessed.
Guess I live in a first-world country, where these type of risks are not necessary, due to the plenitude of options and better suited equipment.
Hats off, to these guys, who successfully accomplished the loading of the truck though. I give them credit for that.
Now, whether or not they later encountered a wake from a passing boat, which sent the truck, produce, barges, and people to the bottom of the river ... I have no idea.

Where's the footage of the unloading?

My face and neck hurt from cringing and shaking my head so much😟
How do they steer both boats like that I wonder?
I want to know if it made it also. It doesn't look very safe or very stable.
