Thank you for sharing! Such s beautifu, exciting, and inspirational video! My late father joined the Air Force the year I was born, specifically to become a pilot. Unfortunately, my Mom nixed that dream. Had he fulfilled that dream, I feel my life growing up would have been significantly different.
I have loved aircraft carriers since I was 5 years old... at 9 years old I built my aircraft carrier with wooden planks and legos...my favorite aircraft carrier has always been and will remain the cvn65 enterprise....i built it at 1/144 scale....i struggle how to make the catapults....i have more than 50 F18,22 F14 tomcat, 6 A6B prowler, 5 S3 viking.....
This made me miss thus shit so much VFA 87 was AD3 pc/final checker never did a West pac buy 2 deployments oef on deck being a plane captain in my squadron was a honor

The cinematography, the unique angles, the lighting, the timing of the camera movements, the editing, the music (well, not so much lol). You nailed this one! I'm about to watch it again. USS Carl Vinson was my first aircraft carrier. I served aboard 3 submarines, 2 aircraft carriers, 2 NPTU's, and was an instructor at NSS New London Groton Advanced Engineering School, MMC(SS) USN, Ret. Yeah, I was a f@cking Nuke.
Do you check the flight controls for "free and correct" before you are on the cat, or is the "washing of the controls" prior to the cat shot the only flight control check? Thanks in advance and thanks for posting!

OK, something's NOT RIGHT. VAQ is an Eletronic Warfare Squadron, why are they flying F\A-18s. VAQ used to fly EA-6Bs which I'm sure have been decommissioned but are the electronics now placed in the pilons?

The Super Hornet is such a beautiful aircraft. The F-35 I don't know, it looks like a bag of popcorn inflated with wings and a pointy nose.
