9:21 1 year learning korean and my tearchers never mentioned this... :/ Thank you Billy!
I can't emphasize enough how grateful I am to have found someone so good at making new information easy to understand!
Thank you! I have understood 서, but I learned new things today, and got some confusions cleared up. Great teaching!
6:16 기분/気分; I'm new to Korean, but I've been studying Japanese for a long time, it's always fun to see identical words.
* 기분
기분! 기본 'basics' is 基本! I recognize 본 from 일본 日本 :)
@@starrystudy00 you're right, I wrote that haphazardly, fixing it now.
it is a sino word😊
Brilliant. Thank you as always teacher.
I asked a Korean this question a few days ago:
What's the difference between:
1. 늦어서 죄송합니다
2. 늦으니까 죄송합니다
He said no. 2 with the ~으니까 form is 무례하다, and that no. 1 with the ~서 form expresses the 미안하다는 뉘앙스
I also explain why in the previous live stream I did about (으)니까. It's because (으)니까 itself is a bit informal, while 죄송합니다 is a formal expression - so it's a mismatch in addition to being used incorrectly.
I have a clearer understanding between (으)니까 & 서 from this video! Thank you!
I've also tried making a sentence using "하겠어서" and it didn't sound right. Now I have confirmation!
이라서와 이어서의 어감을 구분하다니, 놀라워요
hi:) i thought casual speech and informal speech were the same...?
cause i remember you explaining "levels of speech" which generally are:
반말 (informal/ casual)
존댓말 (formal)
높임말 (plain)
so i don't understand...
(i'm saying that cause i've just seen a video of you talking about conjugation rules and stuff but "informal speech" and "casual speech" were two separate things)
Informal is simply "not formal," but 요 form can also be informal by itself. 반말 though is "casual speech." You can learn more about them here: czcams.com/video/4P8u7XXyLJw/video.html
@@GoBillyKorean does that mean that informal and casual are two different froms?
Yes, they're different. You can check out the video I linked to learn more :)
@@GoBillyKorean ok 감사합니다 선생님!🤍

I know this is offtopic but I have to ask somewhere. While it is easy to install and use a Korean keyboard on my smartphone. Do you guys have any recommendations for keyboards for PCs? Any stores where I can buy one or do you have any experience with keyboard stickers? Thank you so much for any recommendations.
For PC, you can use a built-in IME: czcams.com/video/60tJhbTBBN0/video.html
Thank you 😀👍. My problem is that I can't yet remember where which letter is on the keyboard. I will use the onscreen keyboard on Windows (which i forgot existed) as long as I need to practice. It shows where which key is and always displays on top of other applications. And I do follow your advice in your video: write a lot.
🤗🤗🤗🤗
Can someone pls explain the difference between ~에 의해(서) and ~에 위해(서)
