Fatal Fury 2 playthrough (SEGA Genesis) (1CC)

Playthrough with Terry. The SEGA Genesis version of Fatal Fury 2 was released in 1994. It plays very differently to the Neo Geo version, and in my opinion it is a lot more enjoyable because of it. The CPU was toned down so they aren't as a big a pain to beat, but the gameplay was changed, meaning a lot of new combos were possible.
The commands for the desperation moves were also altered, with many of them becoming easier to do. For example, Terry's power geyser now only requires you to press one button after doing the motion, as opposed to two buttons in the Neo Geo version.
The port also has a special menu which lets you further alter the gameplay, such as letting you juggle your opponents really easily.
This port may or may not have been released in Europe. I've seen people claim to be selling a European version, but it's actually the Australian version. If you really want this version and live in Europe, I'd suggest trying to get the American version as it doesn't have region protection.

Just got this in today, along with Garou Mark of the Wolves on PS2 (along with both Real Bouts on PS1). Boy do I have a hard time consistently pulling off moves with a Genesis 6 button pad, but all in all, a fun game.

I played the hell out of this version when I was younger. Takara always did a great job on the Genesis limitations by including new combos and stuff... They only port I didn't enjoyed was Samurai Shodown because the game plays a little different in a bad way.

there is a funny bug were if you kill with a special move or dm all active frames hit the opponent

I've found it very dramatic finishing. I think its on purpose. I miss it when playing the Sega CD Fatal Fury Special.

Mortal kombat 2, street fighter 2 sce and fatal fury 2 are the best fighting génesis games. Yu yu hakusho is good too.

For me, It's too hard to beat CPU in normal difficulty.

It's much easier than the arcade version, since it no longer requires quarters put in the machine to continue. A major mistake for this version was putting in a continue limit, sure it's not arcade hard, but it can still catch you off guard.
