I believe that somewhere in the world, there are people who feel the same emotions that I feel when I listen to masterpieces like this song.
Yep, I'm one of them. I go into another world, a world where music is the only thing that means anything and guitar playing like this makes me both happy and extremely envious and sad that I never had the talent to express my feelings like this. Must be magical to do this, can't add anything more really.
@@Zoro007 never too late to learn
I'm from Brazil and without a doubt I feel the same way as you.
It's so good that it gives you goosebumps and brings unique sensations.
You better believe it
I have heard many covers of songs by Gary Moore, but I have never heard a guitarist nail the exact sound of Moore like this. It's not just the skill, it's the way of bending, the control over sustain, the lot of it. Extremely impressive, on the whole.
Dude - the guitar player absolutely crushed it - bravo
Need to listen to billy merziotis then mate
@@jimbosc without a doubt brilliantly played yeah
Very impressive guitarist no doubt about it
Sorry no, it's not possible to get Garys exact tone without using the exact same equipment, guitar and settings, saying that, Howie is a phenomenal guitarist, one of my faves, and he has got as damn near close as is possible :)
The voice, the guitar, the bass, the drums everything is perfect, amazing cover and tribute to our dear Gary, thank You ou so much for share.
A fantastic tribute to Gary Moore. Another hero gone but never forgotten.
R.I.P Gary
This guitarist is mind bogglingly awesome.
Throws in his own licks, but SOOOOO Gary it's unbelievable
guitar solo gives me chills.
Sometimes i still come back to this video, because this is the best performance of this song that Gary Moore hasn't done it himself. That guy, Howie G is EXCELENT.
Howie is so amazing. Does he still perform? ~ kimie
Howie is great, but, I would just like to say how much passion the vocalist puts into this beautiful song. All together magnificent.
Yeahh they have the whole ammo"s
Alex Dee is sensational. He returned to the band for their pre Christmas socially-distanced gig last year!
I agree and legendary Gary Moore would be proud on this kind of performanse..
Super. Heartfelt passion.
@@Kettlebastonian Which one is Alex? I know Howie is on guitar.
WOW!!!!! everyone's soul needs to hear this awesome song by Garry Moore ..well done guys, Gary gave you a big thumbs up !! ..FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
6 years on, and this still makes the hairs on my neck stand.
Absolutely spot on. This is my favourite song of all time. Lead singer is excellent, defo a man's lead. Guitar playing absolutely excellent!!!
Absolute beautiful performance. The guitarist put so much soul into that guitar I loved every moment.
Yep, it's Howie, my son - he's been playing Gary Moore since he was 14 😘
i was trying to find out who he is,,,,,,,now i know, he is superb,,,,,, extremely talented and professional
He's "nae bad" as they say in the north east of Scotland! ;) (Great job!)
He's an amazing player, you should be proud of him!
great! amazin player. increible the tone.
if u can... tell us about the gear :D
Diane, i can almost feel the pride you have. As good as Gary. Kind regards.
Best classic Rock show lineup.
Man. Takes me back in time .thanks classic rock and legendary Gary Moore .
This is such a perfect cover of this song. They got a right person to sing and play the guitar. ❤
Exceptionnel j'écoute en boucle.
Chanteur et guitariste ❤❤❤❤
Man this guitarist is one of the best I have ever heard in my 71 years.great guitarist
Thank you for playing Gary Moore song, in our hearts,he is the best, in spirit he is still alive.
If you played me an instrumental of this performance I wouldn't have any clue it wasn't Gary playing. The vocals were on point too, absolutely incredible cover.
Absolutely brilliant, those words mean so much to me, Gary was a genius and this band do this song so much justice, thanks
Holy shit ... he nailed it
Perfection....coming from a guitarist myself..
Way to go .. he had the soul. That's what separates a good guitarist form a great guitarist....
The way Howie turns to salute the pic of Gary hanging says it all! Ultimate respect!
Gary Moore would've been so proud. ❤
Outstanding 💥👌 ....that song is in my top 10 of all time....and I’m 67 🎸👏🏻 great job guys !
Me too. Im 66 and just WOW! Great job Howie and the vocals too!
Aa
I'm a bit of a Gary Moore geek & I've played countless of his songs & heard even more being performed by various acts. This is, without a doubt, the most jaw dropping version of this song I've ever heard. That guitar tone & playing was absolutely spot on, perfect! Great vocals too. Stunning!
I'm a huge Gary Moore and Thin Lizzy fan and this about about as good as it gets without the man being on stage himself....just super impressive playing. seen plenty of GM copy guitarists and none of them come close but this is fantastic.....love to see him play "Black Rose".....
seen them last night philharmonic hall Liverpool brilliant specially the second half
Was there myself Frank, yes the 2nd half was spectacular. :)
sorry only just seen your reply yes very good all night but second half spectacular glad you enjoyed them cant wait to see them again @@ttmadness34
Pö
Close your eyes... Its Gary Moore on guitar.. Trust me, I know how Gary played I've listened to him for many years, Howie, your a fabulous artist! God bless you XX
I agree with you. Spot on
Anyone my age in there 50's witnessed and lived in the best era in music and life, so sad how things have ended up. Howie smashes this to bits, Gary would give massive thumbs up!!
Yes sir, we are very luck to have been born in the 60's or early 70's.
i am in my 40`s but i just love music like this. i hate modern music. the 50`s, 60`s and 70`s were definately the best :)
I am in late 30's and love Gary Moore's music from always.. From all the Blues musicians, his guitar playing touches me the most...
@@Momoa786 well, I won’t say it was the best but it didn’t suck.
@@Momoa786 what in the wide, wide world of blue moons are you talking about? I was born in ‘61.
I’m a drummer/lead singer. I’ve performed for 50 years. I’ve met a lot of talented guitarists. But, this guy tops all of them. He’s totally amazing!
Brilliant guitar playing, and the way the vocalist bends the last note on "I found out that love is more than just a game" never fails to stop me in my tracks; it is stunning.
The entire song and everyone's playing is flat out superb...in every way.
Magnificent guitar work and playing by the rest of the band, but the vocalist is just as magnificent. What a great, crystal clear vibrato he has, and the way he bends certain notes is superb. He even puts a growl in some of the parts, which I really enjoyed. I think I love this version even more than the original, and that's saying a lot.
In my 28 year career I have had the pleasure to work Gary Moore and would that he would like the way they do this song that is in my estimation is Gary’s best.
I almost started crying, how cool is that!
No one can play guitar like Gary
But this was one of the best performance
I have ever seen .
Greetings from Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦❤️👍🏽
I Have the same opinion..Congratulations for them..
Agree 👍
Are you even allowed to hear this music there?
@@guidines83 lol i was wondering the same ! A Saudi Moore fan is rarer than a martian who hears moore
Utsav kumar guess what? Am an Iraqi super fan of Gary’s 😁
this is the best Guitarist there is to cover this song period.
The vocalist is awesome .
All great musicians..
the vocalist does not fit for this song. He is clearly a R&B/Pop vocalist. A perfect fit would have been a blues vocalist or a gospel singer. Didnt really get any feel from the vocalist. He is good though. Not awesome, pretty standard.
Check Billy Merziotis and his version of this song. It is awesome. Cheers.
@@DonHaka I disagree.
tribute :) czcams.com/video/IMa268B8mRM/video.html
The guitarist did a fantastic job. I've heard some other guitarists cover this, but to me, John Sykes' version on Bob Daisley s album was the best I've heard, period. This guitarist was excelent; great performance. However, the vocalist wasn't cut out for this type of genre. Its evident he s got more of a pop/ top 40 style to his vocals. Good performance by the band.
Absolutely superb all around. That singer is unbelievable. The guitarist is ridiculous. Talk about spot on. And the band is straight up amazing.
It’s great that the great music of Gary Moore can be kept alive.....
The best Cover Band i have ever heard during the 60 years of my live. Absolutely amazing guys and girls, everybody of the musicians is not only playing music, he is feeling and is giving it to the audience through his Instrument. That is living performance and spirit and soul.
The best cover of 'still got the blues', the guitarist and the singer
I watch this once a week, usually over the weekend with a large whisky, and I swear it gets better every time. Probably the best cover of anything I've ever heard. Ever.
The best Gary Moore cover ever!
Classic Rock Show covers never cease to amaze me. They are always so fantastic and precise. Brilliant musicians one and all. Many thanks for sharing this video.
I feel like crying hearing that guitar solo (of happiness).
I have just GOT to be the 2 millionth viewer of this fabulous rendition of a timeless classic - not long to go now! I've watched that counter tick along through this lock-down and each time I listen it lifts my spirits - just fantastic, and a worthy tribute to a wonderful musician..........
damned........... missed it (by miles) the hits just pile in - can't think why........
The best cover of this GM classic so far! Excellent vocals and mindblowing guitar playing! Awesome work guys!!!
it is undeniable the guitar player is exceptional but also lets give the singer some credit too!
Damn his voice is so full, so light, got me in love.
@@AlexHernandez-yf5nx 👍👍👌
Gary would be proud. Great job Howie!
I've seen Gary Moore live two times in my life, and I can definitely assess he would be proud of this version. Great guitar playing.
Gary Moore would approve, I feel. Superb.
Gary a happy person to listen in heaven❤️
Guitar tone spot on!
Close your eyes and you wouldn't know it wasn't Gary Moore. These guys are brilliant

I have never heard so good preformes about the Gary Moore 's still got the bluse .
Howie solo as good as watching James watching his solo with pure admiration.
no one can play like gary but this was a fantastic guitar work..
exelent👍👌
Juan Gonzalez .. I agreed with u that of the one amazing gary moore guitar work cover
i dont mean to be rude... imo this guitarist is better
This guy is better than Gary Moore...
Bey Zam 🤢🤮
Agree. It's easy to embellish on the original work of the artist when you're doing a cover. But let's face it: Gary's songwriting and playing became a shining example of how blues rock was done right.
This player rips but probably learned a lot of things from coping Gary's licks and solos. I certainly have...
People are overwhelmed by Howie G's solo - and for good reason - by I want to praise Alex Dee for the way he sang the song! I'm 37 and have been listening to Gary Moore, and this song in particular, since I was 14. Alex' flawless pronunciation made me realise that I've misheard the lyrics a few places. I thought I knew the song, so I've never bothered to look up the lyrics.
Well done, Alex!
Excellent!
Just found this today. I keep listening over and over again. I never dreamed in forever and infinity that I would ever come across "the equal" of Gary Moore !!! ARE YOU READING THIS DIANE???!!! 😀 Your son just blew me away with his guitar solo !!! I will not forget the name of Howie Jarrett !!! ---- ---- --- and that is not to ignore the incredible creature with the "knock me down, drop-dead awesome" vocals !!! I won't forget the name of Alex Dee either !!!
!!! WOW !!!
The best cover band of all time by miles with this line up, Whatever they do is spot on, this version is just mind blowing.
Well done sir
Gary’s smiling down at you!
Heck of a job covering a classic. Gary Moore would be honored.
Who in the F is this guitarist!? My goodness! He nails everything! Fantastic Brother!!!
Howie G.
In my humble opinion, Gary Moore’s solo in his version of this song is the best guitar solo ever played…….and the guy in this video nails it. Bravo!
Holy smokes !!!!!!!! What a fantastic rendition !!!!!! Everyone nailed it !!!!!! Love the vocals and the lead guitarist !!!! Smoking hot tone.
As a Garry Moore addict , Got the "Chill" . Amazing all the way. Garry is very very proud.
Absolute perfection. What else is there to say? 👏👏👏
The Best Tribute i've ever seen....😇
Just gave me a feeling that Gary's spirit is still alive!!...Wonderful.
A guitarist who can improve on Gary. I never thought I would ever see it. Howie you are without doubt the finest and most versatile player .Perfect.
A very nice and romantic way to play this song. Amazingly and beautifully done. Bravo 👍👍👍👍
Просто улетаешь слушая такую музыку.БРАВО!!!!
This is what Spot On means!!! Unreal!
Gorgeous version of a beautiful song. I miss Howie and Alex. 💜💜
Where are they now? Did they retire for some reason?
@@BrentMFisher I'd like to know...

Fantastic singer......and the guitar player is as hot as they come....he did Gary proud.
Such a great cover band that guitarist is superb and the vocalist man you got great vocals with great feels simply perfection
I speak little English, but I want to say that it is what most fills me inside of me and I love that form of music that unique style I have in my heart and in my life, how rich is the blus,,, is beautiful for me, not more, i am from Caracas, Venezuela, and i love this page... good bye, god bless you... see yours...
Seni anladım Claudio De Santis, aynı duyguları paylasıyoruz. Ben de Türkiye'de, Kocaeli, Kartepe'de yaşıyorum. Türk'üm. Hoşçakal, umarım iyisindir.
wow that song makes me cry!!!!! Gary Moore was great!!!! his songs will never die
Also I should recognize that I love the guitarist but the whole band working together like that is so impressive! The drummer placing a beat just so as well as the pianist and the guitarist in tune with the guitar and the singer and the singer and mmmmhhhhmm...again so great!
The howie g era of classic rock is Gold
How that performance didn't get a stranding ovation I'll never know...
It did get a standing ovation...I was there. I still have a few pics and videos

Gosh.,. That’s perfect. Guitar, vocals, arrangement, dynamics... congrats for the band. It’s really really hard to get musicians that good together and make them all become only one at the stage. Awesome... awesome..
when I close my eyes, I hear gary moore. fantastic.
Tribute/covers with full respect. That's what a true musician.
that guitarist !!!! he's in his best
Yabo leh
What a voice love this song with passion 🤙
Absolutely fantastic
I could never imagine that a guitarist could play Gary Moore as well.
Gary played the guitar and sung as well!
@@jimgeuther4315 Howie G sings very well too but his voice is not suited to this song. See their video of Telegraph Road or All Along The Watchtower to hear him in action. Or look for his excellent album, "Master of the Night"
It sounds like Gary is really playing it, never heard anyone else Nail him before ever
Feel like almost Gary Moore back alive on his guitar, amazing.
Note for note, perfect!!
The best rendition of this song! Great voice! Great guitar playing! Great band! You guys made this my new favorite song! Thanks!
Me Too!
The singer! It’s the best male voice I’ve heard in a long time!
You're right
and a Gold Top with 100,000 miles on the clock is the ONLY guitar to play this on! Really nailed it...thanks a lot !!
No... That blew me away... thank you
Best cover of this song I've personally heard.
This guitarist is a genius 🤔
He is looking very sharply at the grandmasters and understands obviously what they wanted to express with their solos, fantastic work!!
I finnaly found a vocalist that can out sing me. I am humbled. And that guitar playing is just as incredible. This band is without a doubt the best cover band in history.
I think Gary will be so chuffed with this tribute both Howie and Alex have done Gary proud
Its obvious, all of them are playing from the bottom of the ❤️
The most accurate cover I've seen and heard. God Bless
Gotta love this. Howie has been my guitar idol for years and my inspiration. i was once lucky enough to play on stage with him when i was younger. In my opinion one of the best guitarists in the world today.
