    I’m 13, will I naturally be able to jump higher as I grow older or is it completely trained?

      Expect to jump higher as you mature but don’t expect to have an elite vertical without working for it. Don’t be discouraged from training just because you might not jump high now; at 13 most people will be far from their full explosive potential.

      Puberty will work its magic but start training now if you havent already

      training, practicing and genetics will get you there. training and practicing are the main factors

      Definitely start as early as possible ur body at that stage is like clay, if you work on it your body will form accordingly to the stresses it's placed under. Meaning even if you don't strength train, just based off jumping and the will to wanting to jump high will give your body the need to adapt and create a great foundation for the future when you plateau and decide to lift weights.

      Play sports man. Compete. That’s the best way at your age. Also sleep, rest, and eat well. But having other kids to compete against is the most valuable.

    So is that squat depth best for vertical jump? Because a lot of weight training advice is for lower depth but maybe thats hypertrophy of entire leg and not just for jump power?

    • @dondahighhh12
      @dondahighhh12 Před 2 měsíci +1

      Yeah athletes in general dont squat that deep and Isaiah's on the taller side. they're training for explosive so that depth is fine. i think ATG is good for tendons, at least thats what the kneesovertoes guy said

    • @venividivici2233
      @venividivici2233 Před 2 měsíci

      recent studies say that you can rest as much as you want, as long as you can go hard on your sets... anyways for heavy lifts people recommend 2-5 minutes of rest

      @theheebs100 Před 2 měsíci +1

      that's not bad for that age, and I assume you are basically untrained. start doing plyos and lifting and you will really be getting up down the line
