First Blood With a Smile: The Story of Jankos

- Jankos is greatest jungler Europe has ever produced. But he didn't get there overnight.
He spent years chasing a domestic title and battling his own emotions before it finally all came together.
Now he's taking on the best teams in the world, and he's winning. He's ushering in a new age for Europe. And doing it all while being uniquely himself.
This is his story.

After the disaster of a season in NA that was 2020, he's not wrong, y'know...

Copied comment, nice.

Janks will always put a smile on our faces. Our league Joker meme player. 😂
Jankos is the definition of “jng diff”
As long as he doesn't play Lee Sin

also jg diff for enemy if he's against Canyon

Jankos is the funniest and most lovable league of legends player for me. His personality and his knowledge about the game is what makes him so good and he is rly an inspiration to me!
Can't wait for Mikyx and Wunder to get a Story of. Maybe even Grabbz at some point.
yes pls do grabbz guys!!!
There's an old mikyx documentary on misfits channel it's pretty emotional

I Think you missspelled GRÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÄÄÄBZZZ
Why do this feel like “The Last Dance” documentary, especially the back and forward between times
I noticed that too
It's soooo bad
Really hope it doesn't become a standard ... It takes a lot of talent and work to make this kind of back and forth documentary appealing and understandable. I appreciate the effort, but linear storytelling is sometimes the best way.
Was just about to say that. I think it worked for `The Last Dance` because it was about an entire team. This format doesn`t really work for just one person.
yea and it didnt really work out here, i wanted to hear about 2015 because thats when i noticed him first time and then it just skipped to 2018? Doesnt fit the game or his story I guess
My favorite Jankos quote: "If I were to go to NA, it would probably be for the dollar"
I have followed Jankos' career since his Roccat days and he is by far my favourite League player. He has a fantastic personality, incredible mental fortitude and the drive to get to the end. No matter what G2 go through, they are all fighting for the same end goal and I truly believe they can lift the World's trophy for EU.
That has to be the best line I've heard over Esports. "This is what peak league of legends looks like and it comes from Europe". I get chills.
am i the only one who thinks the chronology was kinda of? usualy its more in a straight timeline and i personaly enjoy that more. i dont want to hate any first sign of change but i just felt like it was worse than usualy. I realy love your videos but this felt a littlebit wierd. nevertheless i enjoyed it keep up the good work!
Agree
Your are not alone
Agreed
they skipped the whole h2k timeline wtf...
i mean in the beginning. roc straight to g2 then backward
The production quality has really risen so much, these videos clearly show so much effort and experience
Thank you theScoreEsports for your hard work
For real. I really appreciate it and like how the new format of their story telling is cool
I'm glad someone commended the Score esports, I was thinking two days ago about how impressive the videos are
Honestly don't see the point of the nonlinear story telling in this video
Yeah i also didn't understand why they did that
They probably got inspired by the documentary the last dance on Netflix
Ikr...
I think it was interesting how they used motives like his "first blood king" title and his worlds finals appearances to tell the story, but I do understand that it makes it a bit more complicated than linear storytelling
Thematic approach isn't bad in essence, but I do agree with you that it doesn't really fit the chronological aspect of such video format.
You guys are stepping up your game video by video. Thanks for making these the pros need some more recognition! Love
I don't play League anymore, but when G2 is playing, I always watch the stream, big part of it is because of this man
16:25 The commentary still give me chills to this day
I love Jankos! He is so funny, entertaining, animated and loud!
I just love him so much.
Imo the thing you did with chronology was great and brought more to the light than normal, linear story. At first it seemed it seemed a bit off, but when I saw a parttern I was impressed. Good job!
The loss to FPX was tragic, G2 was one of the favorites on that Worlds, FPX was like Suning, unpredicted finalist team. Their difference to Suning was that FPX really showed up on that finals series and won against the favorite G2.
I feel like the video being nonlinear could've worked if done well, but.. yeah, it just didn't work in this case. It felt like I was jumping between different short videos rather than one big cohesive one because the connecting lines between jumps were so incredibly weak or underdeveloped.
I know im late, but I genuinely enjoyed the timeline of the way the story was told. it made me supppperrr hype for what was to come vs what points of his past lead to current strenghts. I'd say it was done phenomenaly
I waited for this for a looong time
I'm new to lol esports and I'm not a g2 fan I'm a jankos fan. This dude has so much energy. Sorta reminds me of what I've seen about ocelote when he was playing
Man this never gets old! hes soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good!!
1:43 oh damn, ok
he is right tho
I love this format, amazing video
my favorite part about these videos and seeing all the old items/runes/champ models ect
i love you Jankos, hugs from Portugal
You know what i read the comments in the early part of the video that were talking about the timeline, but i think this video was the perfect choice for that kind of timeline video, very good job
Spoiler alert: the last missiing piece in this story was the Plumy buff
Damn seeing G2 win the first LEC in Rotterdam brings so many memories. First league event that i attended and I went there with my pops who committed suicide like 1 year later :(.
YES, I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS. Now, we need mikyx
As a Pole I appreciate you trying to say Marcin Jankowski as correctly as you can :D
I like that the editing isn't chornacally order. It really gives and perspektiv on his growth
I missed this guy doing the story telling, I remember that the first score esports video that I watched he was the one commentating
Absolute Legend
Super nice quote and all, piano music... And then boom à wild KURVA appears
You really uploaded this after they beat Rogue LOL
HELL YEA
this gave me chills
Have been waiting for this so long
It looks like they were inspired by The Last Dance series. That's pretty cool
Jankos is my spirit animal
It feels like Jankos is Naruto of league of legends. The goofy always positive dude who's been viewed as weak, without trophy player for years. But he kept going, got his chance and showed everyone that this "washed up" guy is best Western jungler ever. Even after winning LEC and MSI his still the same goofy kid , always positive always smiling. Respec5
YES! I WAS WAITING FOR A JANKOS VIDEO
Started LoL one month ago and now he's my best Player and Streamer
these videos always get me to smile cuz they are hilarious
6:17 the way that Sjokz looked back in the day is just... speechless.
I was there when G2 won MSI. One of the few Europeans in there...with my depressed NA friends ahh good memories

I WAITED FOR THAT ABOUT A YEAR
I think a lot of people forget,
these guys may not have lifted that cup last year
but they did make the finals,
I mean, how many people can say that they made it to the finals of the world's biggest game.
and we get disappointed they didn't win, sure, but even still the finals are massive.
"no one's talking to you, Jankos"
:(
The story of Odoamne maybe? Legendary player
Give us the Weakside King
This video is all over the place. Going from roc to G2 back to H2K
Great Video
Here before the video was uploaded
Great Bday present!
Keep grinding 🚀
The king
The king??? Don’t know about that
Jankos GOAT
I like the idea of making it like The Last Dance, but it doesn't work for a single episode, I think it was better the old way of doing these videos.
12:52 ITS RYU
Look at the class look at the moves
in around 5 to 10 years ill be the new best jgler europe has produced!
As soon as they beat SKT they knew MSI was theirs
1:45
Hey Perkz, don't become that, please. Except the win LCS part.
Not sure about this new style jumping back and forth. It makes the video longer and can break up different insights. But I like the build up to the end or the reasons why things just don’t happen sometimes despite the best efforts.
I love the fact that he have Warcraft Illidan book under micro in 10:28
This dude crazy good omg
1:40 he speaks the truth
dude I hate G2 last year coz they beat SKT but now I just realize how great this team is and I want them to win worlds this year
The Braum King
ABOUT GODDAMN TIME
That's why G2 is the best in that aspect. This team just never tilts
i know nothing about him but his laugh is so funny
Make a video about his teammate in h2k, Odoamne!!
This year, Jankos win the worlds, trust me.
DeMan and Joe were a great commentary team.
Just realized the format they're doing in this video is based on The Last Dance, in which they go back and forth with current Jankos and Past Jankos
This kills so much momentum in my opinion, the non linear way is good but i feel like it can still be done better
12:11 A yes Xpeke showing dominance to the enemy by using flash
'I just need to go to NA' xD
And still win lcs 🤣
poor freeze
Do forgiven
Love from Greece
This gives me The Last Dance vibes
I feel like that type of storytelling doesn't work well with biographies, it feels all over the place tbh
As a pole, I love seeing other poles scream “KURWA MAĆ” (for those curious it’s the polish equivalent of cyka blyat, it’s means nothing you just shout it when mad)
oh thanks! i always shout it but never knew what it means (doing because of jankos)
But it does mean something... the literal translation is whore mother. However, mać is an archaism so nobody uses it word outside of the phrase. Nie cwaniakuj gostek
@@KANCIAPminecraft It's true that it has a literal translation, but it's not like anyone thinks of it as it would be translated literaly. Just like the term 'shipping', it started off this way because transport back then was really cheap on water and most of it used waterways, but nowadays? Most people wouldn't think of ships hearing it, they would associate it with delivery in some way.
Same with 'kurwa mać'. If someone says to you that you are a 'kurwa', then sure, it has a meaning. If someone shouts 'kurwa mać'? It's just letting off steam.
@@VanganPL You can say the exact same thing about any swear word that people shout xdd Just because words are used to relieve anger doesnt mean they lose their meaning
i enjoyed this video, thank you... i hope you get paid for this cuz you should
Seeing scaling come back leaves g2 in the dust bc g2 is amazing in the early game with the skill and their snowball but the scaling in the meta right now works so much against them.
g2 good in the early? lol what? They weren't bad in the early but not good, they went even most of the time (against similar skilled teams, or in the T1 Series at Worlds just int) and go really fast in the mid game outplaying the enemy on the map. They started improving early game only this year. Also G2 as a Team is a good as they are bc of their decision making throughout mid and late game and having skilled enough players to do so. Just look at the first game of the split, against MAD they showed how capable of being pacient and drawing out fights they are.
