Fun fact: The Spirit of Fire is the oldest known active ship in the UNSC. Also she and her class used to be colony ships before being fit for military service.
sort of like the grandpa of the infinity? right?, because the infinity was meant to be the best but the war "ended" so they used it as a colony ship...or am i wrong? xd
@@MrPopo9101 The Infinity is the most powerful warship the UNSC has, but yeah after the war ended she was used mostly for exploration and according to Lasky, deactivating the remaining Halo rings.
The Phoenix class ships were made for being support/command ships, but they just so happen to be self-sufficient as well, and have not one, but three MAC cannons. The Spirit of Fire is as amazing as it is only because of Captain Cutter and his crew, otherwise, it's just a big old ships.
@@MrPopo9101 There are a few videos on youtube about infinity that say it could be used as a sort of life boat for humanity if earth fell you can find 2 good ones on Installation 00 and Eckharts Ladder They talk about the construction of the Infinity in the Kilo Five trilogy books and this video is a good overview of the spirit of fire czcams.com/video/bhP-YVpMK4o/video.html
@@TheFallenFaob Yeah the infinity was a literal lifeboat/ark in case humanity went extinct because of the covenant, the forerunner engines/drives was fast enough to let it reach other places in the galaxy that the human slipspace engines couldn't, since it would take decades or hundreds of years at their limited speed (2.1 lightyears per hour)
@@MrPopo9101 As others have mentioned, the Infinity, (and her sister ship the Eternity) was originally being built during the final years of the War as a last ditch effort to preserve Humanity in case the Covenant found and destroyed Earth. The Infinity would lead the last of the UNSC Fleet with the single mission to survive. When the War ended, she was repurposed for Scientific and Exploration missions, as well as being a Flagship.
The only thing the Infinity has in common with the Spirit of Fire are their classifications as Carriers and practically mobile Military bases.
Lore clarifications: The brute we’ve seen as the main antagonist in Halo Infinite is Escharum, Atriox’s second in command and his mentor. The banished didn’t ALL come to the Ark. most stayed back in the Milky Way with Escharum as their leader while Atriox was away with the one ship he took. He wasn’t expecting to find organized UNSC resistance, and really the Spirit of Fire wasn’t supposed to be there, one more mystery to add to Halo. As of recently, a book came out called Halo: Shadows of Reach, were we learn that Atriox has come back to the Milky Way after the events of Halo Wars 2, so yeah, fun stuff all around.
There’s another called Halo: Divine Wind that goes back to the ark after the events of shadow of reach
@@brycebuchanan1138 I’m guessing they explain what happened to the spirit of fire in their? I hope they do cause it would suck if they just abandon their story arc overall.
@@chasewilson577 still fighting the banished on the ark
Another lore detail: Escharum is actually Atriox's for mentor as confirmed by Halo Canon yesterday.
For all we know, it could have been the Domain doing it, actually (Forerunner Saga gives precedence to it acting on its own)
The Spartan with Isobel is Jerome 092, in the lore he failed augmentation the first time round along with Alice 130 and Douglas 042 and they had to go for a second attempt of augmentation which succeeded and was then attached to Spartan Red team, also I love the old Mark IV armour Jerome and red team wears it’s just sooo badass
Sad fact tho they are 25% weaker that a regular spartan 2 but 45% stronger that any Spartan 4
They are my favourite Spartans and armour
@@joshuaweath7898 spartan 2 or 3 or do you mean red team
@@silent_hunter515 oh wait they are 25% more weaker than the regular Spartan 2s?
@@DarkVargas-yv7qp ya because there body's didn't like the augmentation and failed but went and did it again and it was successful but left them 25% weaker
The crew of the Spirit of Fire truly shows the tenacity and the ferocity of humankind. Been out of the war for almost 30 years of and despite the age of their instruments, weaponry and tools and faced with a brand new enemy that proved to be stronger than the ones they’ve previously faced, they still blazed hotter than the fury of the Banished.
Johnson was right when he said the covenant couldn’t have picked a worse enemy than the human race.
James Cutter is a good captain too
Jerome holding up against foes with a 35 years, old armor.
Just being able to survive the covenant, survive the first encounter with the flood and survive the banished... what a crew.
the story is written by the human race... so im not too impressed xD
@@hzhang1228 It’s not like we don’t have real world examples of outnumbered, outgunned people giving a much stronger enemy hell using outdated equipment. It’s clear that when pushed against a wall humanity will go down kicking, punching, and biting to the very end.
@@cryamistellimek9184 looking at history of great civilizations and colonialism the real world examples of the outdated little guy coming on top are few and far in between. and those are battles not wars. realistically there is zero chance of winning against a foe with vastly superior tech. which is why there is plot armor and added bs. mega installations will always have 1 hit ko methods, things will always happen at the exact right time to tie up all loose ends, and advanced aliens portrayed like nothing more than beasts in armor
@@hzhang1228 Notice how nobody said the spirit of fire had won or that I said humanity would win. I said that people with outdated tech managed to give hell and punch far above what you thought they’d be able to. And besides the covenant vs unsc isn’t like the British empire vs the Indians tech wise.
Jerome, Alice, and Douglas had to take the Augmentations twice, Jerome was also in the tope leader positions during Spartan 2 training, along with John (MC) and Fred from Blue team. They are still rocking Spartan MK 4 armor since they were in Cryo and didn't get the MK 5, 6 and 7 upgrades that Master Chief and Blue team have gotten up to Halo Infinite. Also, just so you are aware, Douglas did not die in their fight against Atriox in the beginning. He joins back with you later in the game after his med bay stay. Also also, there is a fun bit of dialogue at one point in game where Jerome asks about the UNSC and Covenant war that happened on the ARK from Halo 3 and Isabelle tells him about Master Chief winning that war, Jerome then says "Good to know John is still out there"
"John ended the war?! Shit now i owe him a burger. Hopefully a joint on reach is okay"
@@ultraburstchara3662 Isabel " yeaah about reach......"
What about Alice is she still alive or does she die when she “ goes MIA” when Jerome left her behind
@@odstsoldier6252 No, all of Red team is alive. Along with Blue team, Gray team and Omega team. And then Naomi, and outlier Spartan 2 who is not designated to a squad. (And Maria but she retired)
@Ultraburst Chara "man I can't wait my family owns a burger place in New Mombasa let's head there
That speech by Cutter is my favourite cutscene in Halo that speech gives me shivers everytime. Jerome 092 is a member of Red team and is from the same Spartan program as the master chief so they are both Spartan 2. There were several Spartan 2 teams such as Red team, Blue team, Black team, Gold Team and several other teams. Jerome now would be younger than cheif only because of the 28 years in cryo. But they were augmented in 2525 and halo wars 1 takes place in 2531.
Chief and Jerome were also marked as leadership material during training.
Chief would be about 24 years older since he was in cryo for about that time after halo 3.
There is a DLC campaign called "Awaken the nightmare" with it's own batch of cutscenes to the same level of quality. It's unrelated to the main plotline though. So if you are feeling more Halo Wars 2, could always watch those :)
Omg yes I'm gonna hold out and hope he does
Awakening the Nightmare only has 2 cutscenes though, so you'll have to play it otherwise you'll miss 90% of the story in it
Gotta see the awakening the nightmare cutscenes. Campaign is just terrifying.
@@Cardboard_Cut Three actually. Two at the beginning and one at the end
Agreed awakening the nightmare is also another good watch and sit down to react to
Such a fantastic story, Jerome-092 the badass Spartan, Isabel the badass and emotional AI, Cutter and his inspiration speech and courage, Anders’ magic hands and the UNSC spirit of fire taking on an unstoppable Banished force!! Another awesome reaction, can’t wait for more vids
yeah, one of the bests among the candidates in SPARTAN-II
@@chengdong4124 If the Chief hadn't survived the augmentation process, Jerome or Kurt would have taken his place. More likely Jerome
@@Sigma-gb9yd red team and maybe omega team didnt survive they got retrained cant remmeber if they acutally died or not
Honestly at this point, I'd take another Halo Wars game over a mainline game, especially compared to Infinite
@@Freelancer837 You don't like infinite?
RIP Serina. Kinda love that in-universe reference to 'rampancy' and AI lifespan all done neatly in the prologue
but why does it hurt?
Atriox is like Spartacus in the halo universe, but is more of an evil space pirate captain.
I would say more mercenary leader; a lot of Banished aren't following him out of loyalty, they're following him because he's paying them.
Pretty much all the various subspecies of the Jackals/Kig-Yar are under this catagory (As a aside, SOOOO happy skirmishers are back, those sprinty bois were FUN to hunt down), and even did so during the Covenant, so that's not changing with the Banished. Might be more "follow us for cool shit to loot" but still, they do it for the pay as we can hear a Jackal yell "Paid to Kill, not Die!" in the gameplay.
I'd also imagine that quite a few Elites, possibly all of them, are also mercenaries, with maybe the expection of that spartan hunting crew we see (The elite with the red swords and, completely at odds with the established lore that Sangheli DON'T get Cybernetics, ever, is almost as chromed out as V from 2077), but I could see them being paid as well.
As for the Brutes, could be a mix of both, as its established that the Brutes follow the strongest leader but are divided into packs, so probably most follow because Atriox and his mentor are the strongest, but I could see the more specialized packs (Those with technical skills or above all else, naval experience) being paid.
Lekgolo/Hunters? Who the shit knows WHY those freakish things do what they do, but likely for pay as well, or resources of some kind; we barely know anything about the Lekgolo and even if they have some sort of civilization of their own, so could be they send the loot home to a home hive, could be they use it to bling out their combat shells more.
You should definitely watch the Halo Wars 2 DLC "Awakening the Nightmare" cutscenes. They are just 6-7 mins long but really worth watching.
There are literally three cutscenes: intro, plot twist and ending
The cutscenes for Halo Wars 1 and 2 are worth the watch by themselves. But the actual games man. I don't care for strategy games AT ALL but the Halo Wars games are so fun and also provide a lot of development for what are now some of my favorite characters in Halo lore. Couple of gems. Hope you give them a shot. Great video!
Same.. bungie and 343 surprised me with How much I loved halo wars 1 and 2
@@_ObiOne_ the people who made it were Ensemble Studious. They were making a completely different strategy game at the time, but their parent company Microsoft wanted it to be Halo. It set them back a year making it Halo, and caused friction between them and Bungie. Bungie was making Halo 3 at the time and were being tight lipped about the Halo world, and they didn't like someone else using their franchise without their say so. Ensemble got dismantled by Microst after the game was released.
@@robertmcgath9135 Wow I never heard that Story .. But Am kinda Glad Because Halo wars Explained Some Empty Gaps in the Halo Time Line

The thing is the UNSC Spirit of Fire has almost a century of service with Humanity, but she is still kicking ass way above her weight class, she is my favorite ship of them all considering she doesn't have any Forerunner tech like the Pillar of Autumn.
Autumn is my favourite, it's almost completely conventional bar some upguns, cortana, and honeycomb reinforcing and still fucks over a super cruiser and multiple CRSs
The pillar of autumn had forerunner tech? Interesting
I think you meant the Infinity with the Forerunner tech. Pillar of Autumn did not have any, although she did have a rather unique design for a cruiser that most UNSC ships did not, allowing ships of her class to survive little longer in battle.
It's also the only ship treated like an actual hero ship.
Pillar of Autumn did have some refits that incorporated "basic" forerunner tech from what I remember.
The structure you are looking at is installation 00 or in other words The Ark where you go in halo 3, and yes The Ark is where the rings are made!
*The lesser ark
You wouldn't have to explain this if he had just watched the FULL INGAME CUTSCENES.....
I feel like Jerome and chief have an unspoken competition of who can drop out of a ship from a higher point of orbit and survive
For some bricks, they fly pretty good! Lol
These are my favorite. You should better try playing these games and the possible tactics you would employ.
I would watch that
I absolutely LOVE how they utilized the “Smart” AI quirks with our departed friend Serena deleting herself against regulations and how our new friend Isabel is literally terrified of the banished. Not to mention her screaming for joy when Jerome pulls a John MC outta that ship 🤣
It's actually by regulations. Or at least, the Smart AI's have a self-delete protocol. Usually done by the humans, but Serina did it on her own before her rampancy got dangerous.
Spartan Jerome 092, he is a second generation spartan just like master chief, if you read some of the lore books, there are many spartan II’s and III’s are still alive (spartan III’s are noble team or like headhunters), well a few are left but they still make a major amount of secured victories for the UNSC
Like Jun A266, he survived reach and i’m pretty sure he was part of a couple secret missions before returning to earth and training the next spartan IIII’s.
*Spartan IV's :eyes:
I think all remaining spartain 3s were augmented in to spartan 4s
@@EmoChipmonkVOD actually they can't because like the IIs their augmentations were done as children and like the IIs they grew into their augmentations. Not to mention Gamma Company's augmentations included the illegal drug that made them near impervious to shock and pain overload which probably wouldn't mix well with new augmentations. Also Project Orchid augmentations which are those of the Spartan IVs are designed for adults not children with pre-existing augmentations.
That ring was proably another replacement for Installation 04, the one Chief blew up in the first game. The ring at the Ark during Halo 3 that was also destroyed by Chief was also a replacement.
It is Instalation 04, zeta is one of the bigger ones from the orginal batch of rings
Yep. Installation 09. Anders' Halo.
@@shiningamaterasu2579 But, due to damage sustained in the deep past, most of the ring was shed and its size reduced to become the same as the other 6.
Bear in mind that Jerome-092 (the chad Spartan in these cutscenes) was only 20 here and had old, outdated Mark-IV armor with no shielding at all, so he was able to take on those brutes and elites in basically hand to hand combat on his own, imagine him with Mark-VII
I’m going to go out on a limb and say I’m Mark-VII Jerome would probably enter the realms of _’Unstoppable”._ Compare his performance against these Brutes to that of Chief’s in the _”Carry On”_ trailer, Jerome displayed a higher degree of lethality and efficiency.
@@ricodee3188 Wouldn't be a fair comparison considering these were animated by different teams who for the most part animate the spartans with vastly different thoughts in mind for how fast or efficient they would be.
@@klekykleky that is a fair point, The amount of resources That Blur puts into even a minute of animation is probably orders of Magnitudes higher than any Halo infinite trailer. So my comparison may not be fair, due to this subtext.
when you remember he is weaker than your normal Spartan 2 from having failed augmentations the first time
@@hotjonmw90 his body initially rejecting the augmentations doesn’t have any bearing on his general proficiency and combat acumen, it just means the augmentations simply failed, not that he is _’Weak’._
There is a dlc with more cutscenes for Halo Wars 2 called Awakening the Nightmare. Although it's all from the perspective of the Banished.
We can all agree Halo is one of the best franchises out there
Eh it's an ok franchise but I perfer Call Of Duty
@@orcakinggaming9388 I also agree but both call of duty and halo dominate over battlefield
Halo is good. I wouldn't call it the best. And versus wise it's not even close to other universes.
@@maddogs1989 nah it’s definitely up there
@@orcakinggaming9388 bruh
There is also DLC cutscenes that you could react to. They aren’t very long but great quality just like these!
Interesting fact. Red Team were first defective and were not a Spartan, when they went through the augmentation process they were defective but overtime they got better and were good enough to go through it again and the second time they succeeded and finally became a Spartan.
it actually makes sense that it would be successful the second time as they would only need to have augmentations done to the parts that were unsuccessful the first time
There is a book called "Shadows of Reach" which kind of fills the same role as "Fall of Reach" did to the first game. A kind of prequel. It also fills some of the gap between HW2 and Infinite.
If you don't have time to read it. HiddenXperia will without a doubt be ok with you making a rection to his breakdown on the plot
And Halo Canon, too...
@@chrissonofpear1384 True. I've just seen others react to HX's video before so I was more confident that was ok. But I'm sure Halo Canon would probably be completely fine with it too. So it's what ever is prefers I guess.
@@sambainbridge301 They are my two go-to video sources, yes.
That and Installation 00, on occasion.
4:33 That is the Arc, and yes, this place can produce Halo Rings. The Arc was the site of Halo 3's finale.
Fun Fact, Captain Cutter's Executive Officer was The Fleet Admiral Terrence Hood, Cutter was the one who seen to it that Hood got his own ship to Captain.
Royal Marine: “is this who we will be fighting in infinite?”
343: “well yes, but actually no”
Spartan Jerome is a spartan two in charge of Red Team. Where Master cheif was head of Blue Team. Jerome is on the same level as Master chief.
The spirit of fire is actually a retrofitted unsc pheonix carrier Colony ship.
As an introduction to the Banished, having Atriox manhandle (Brutehandle?) Not just one Spartan, but three, just...
He took on three Spartan-II's by himself and clearly could have easily taken them all out with very little effort. As an introduction, this very quickly makes Atriox absolutely terrifying, and the Banished alongside him the same because they choose to follow him.
@@kelbyschultz1877 No they aren't cut the bs
Seeing more Elites die really make me want for them to have a limelight again... Whether they be a friend or at least neutral like the Arbiter, or some group like the Banished (other than the Banished) where they are sort of the bad guys.
There seems to be an Elite in Infinite who sees Master Chief as a more of a fun sparring partner rather than true enemy, but there's only like 10sec of footage of him.
i just wish they make an animated movie of some sort with this level of animation
There’s also an expansion with cutscenes too.
Imagine being such an imposing force well executed at the beginning of a spinoff game that you become the BoaT Badass of all Time and your army of traitors that said "fuck the covenenant" became such a problem they had to be left unattended by the primary threat of the first trilogy to deal with humanity and just grew to the point they grew into an even bigger problem that became the core threat of the main series. I haven't played HW2 but Atriox makes himself fucking known and a serious threat by cutscenes alone with how bad he jumps Omega team. So smart for a brute he even got elites following him. The honorable equal to the average spartan. This guy tactically ambushed a whole squad on his own that took on a troupe of honor guards in the finale of the first game. Props to Bluepoint (i believe) for the cutscenes. Who also did the remaster of Halo 2's cutscenes. They made an actual believable threat.
"We're going to make a Halo."
"WHAT?!" Haha, you and Isabel had the same reaction.
This game and it’s cutscenes are what gave me hope for the future of Halo storytelling within the games. It was a joy to watch you get excited for the future as well, thank you for sharing the experience with us.
There's two DLCS for HW2. One doesn't have any cutscenes but the 2nd one does and they're awesome.
Also I completely agree with you the AI in the halo universe are absolutely amazing. Just a characterization that they can put amongst themselves and as well as the lifespan being an issue for them it’s because they outthink themselves… The seven-year lifespan for AI is because they eventually out think every possibility and then they become self-aware because they have no more questions essentially. so then they start having thoughts and then they start enacting those thoughts. that’s why a rampant AI is so dangerous
Think about it this way: humanity is so badass atriox had to continually watch us butcher brutes 39 at a time. He has to respect that.
That's spartan Jerome, prob my 2nd favourite after chief lol
Blur Studios are just legendary!!! With this type of halo style, we need a movie like it!
I would say you should watch the DLC for the game since in the point of view of the Banished, really interesting and something you would enjoy.
Jerome was the spartan with Isabel, he leads Red team. The other two are Alice-130 and Douglas-042.
If you love the AI, there are hints of an AI "council" (The Assembly) that are scattered throughout Halo:Reach data pads as well as the Waypoint. Not sure what happened to the original posts though as some of them were also made by 343'ss "Catalog" account which has been scrubbed for some time.
Spartan 092 aka Jerome is personally one of my favorite spartan 2s because this man in the comics fought off a flood infection aboard the spirit of fire with nothing but a metal chair from the cafeteria
I'm with you, I am SOOOOO excited to see if we get any info about the Spirit of Fire and crew in Infinite. I know the strategy games were (sadly) not that popular, but I swear, if they kill ANYONE off screen I'ma fucking rage!
Also felt like mentioning that yeah, the AI's in Halo are great. Serena from the first Halo Wars gets way more lines during missions, and because she's the comedic relief of the game, she was my favorite character. Every time I watch the intro to HW2 I start to tear up thinking about how she had to kill herself while she was all alone, in the middle of no where, while the rest of the crew was asleep and the ship adrift. T.T
Now I'm depressed.
I love the reaction to “we’re going to make another portal” scene, and it was the same as mine
A sheer “YOOOOOOOO WHAT DID THIS LUNATIC SAY”
Really hoping there are badass cutscenes like this in Halo Infinite. Also, I want Jerome-092 to meet MasterChief
The cutscenes were made by Blur Studios. The same studio that made the Halo 2 Anniversary cutscenes.
There have been a few AI's life spawns that have been increased. That's why master cheif never gave up on cortana
What’s crazy is that Jerome-092 was a Spartan II washout, meaning they either were crippled or literally died during genetic augmentations. After separate rehabilitation, Jerome and the rest of Red Team became the successful Spartan team we see today
Spartan Jerome 092, the fans’ leading contender to take the Halo mantle should Chief ever retire or die. He’s got my vote!
I’m totally not against that idea
Fun Fact: The voice actor (Gideon Emery, one of my favorites) who played Cutter in this game, was the voice of Jerome 092 in the original Halo Wars.
In the HW2 cutscenes, the actor is CGI'd as the likeness of Cutter as well, and he also did the live action trailers for the game on top of all that. I recommend watching those too, they're surprisingly funny!
I’m always really sad when the AI’s die and idk why
I guess it's just like Luke said. It's like a human-pet relationship.
Human-pet? Not even close. It's on the human-human level, just one's digital. I mean, Smart AIs ARE made from human brains after all. Kek
Spartan-092 is a Spartan-II who’s name is Jerome and is part of Red Team. He trained with Master Chief in the Spartan-II program.
Halo Wars 2 is my favorite of the two by far. Though, Halo Wars 1 is still great.
The settings of Halo Wars 2 is The Ark from Halo 3. They make a couple of references to the events of Halo 3 and Master Chief being on The Ark.
For gameplay the one strat that always helps me is to focus on the economy first then have your army based as scorpions and hornets primarily. Nothing beats an enemy faster than an army of tanks.
As for lore, the suit of mjolnir the spartans are wearing are mk IV which was designed without energy shields. The mk V was, but the spartans in halo wars have never received their upgraded armor due to problems in logistics (ex being adrift in space for the development of mkV and landing on the ark). Shielded mjolnir is in gameplay but primarily for gameplay purposes and not lore.
Halo Wars 2 really is a great game. It's the best prologue for Infinite, and yes, Spartan Jerome is awesome.
Honestly I would love to play a game where Jerome and Isabel are saving the universe if chief retires. Love the campaign and the banished are the greatest idea 343 has ever had.
I bet Spartans have this pool going of who can outdo each other. Jerome's like "Man if John can base jump from orbit, I sure as hell can do one better."
Luke If you like this you'll love the DLC cutscenes: "Awakening the Nightmare" ;)
Just a reminder that SPARTAN Red Team is wearing MJOLNIR [GEN1] Mark IV armor, which completely lacks energy shielding and AI-Human neural integration (an AI can be loaded into the armor, but they can't further enhance the SPARTAN's reactions like with Mark V and later armor).
I have a suggestion for a reaction video, several actually.
SCP-001 When Day Breaks especially the ones made by SCP Illustrated because theirs are the most heart bre- Heart melting...
The location is Instillation 00, also known as the Ark, from Halo 3.
As much as I love this game it's sad how they ended support for halo wars 2
Always so cool to me the reveal that they were waiting in the darkness of that room, letting Atriox fight the Spartans on his own.
Red team is fucking awesome. I really want them to get even with Atriox later on in Infinite.
Cutter and Serena were paired up on Spirit for nearly 7 years, nice to put in the emotional response when her name is mentioned.
Man I wished you'd watch the game movie instead:'(
The forerunner facility the SoF has found itself around is is called the Lesser Ark, but we just call it the Ark. and yes, it does manufacture Halo rings! It was the smaller of 2 Arks, but the greater Ark was destroyed by the flood during the forerunner-flood war.
The art style I love about the game and the cutscenes show you why you should never mess with a Spartan in close quarters combat.
Anders: We're going to make a Halo.
Me: 0_0 "On purpose?!"
You know every Halo fan has a love for Blue Team but honestly I think Jerome, Douglas, and Alice are some of the most badass Spartans.
Hey Luke,
Great video but I really do hope get around to playing these games soon they’re such good games and there’s so much more to experience than just watching the cutscenes. Also you should check out the trailers before you play them, they’re awesome and really get the hype going.
Jerome, Douglas, and Alice all are spartan 2 along with Master Chief and Jerome was considered to be one of the leaders along with John and a couple of others. He's amazing
Yeah, you were right. That Installation (designated Installation-00) is called the Ark (well more specifically the lesser Ark, a story for another time). It is what we saw in Halo 3. If you remember we got there via portal in that game. It was reopened after it closed in Halo 3, hence why there was research outpost on the Ark and where Isabel was stationed. The reason the portal actually closed all of a sudden is because in Halo 5, Cortana’s Guardians used their pulse (which disables electronics of any kind) over Earth, and that’s why the portal or the Ark was shutdown.
The Spartan Team featured in this game is called Red Team (but keep in mind other Spartan-II Teams have used that name in the lore). The main Spartan we see is Jerome-092, leader of Red Team and who was last we heard promoted to Field Commander of all Spirit of Fire forces on the Ark as their battle with the Banished is still ongoing. As for Douglas-042, the one who you thought was dead is still alive. He just isn’t seen again in the cutscenes is because he was recovering from his injuries. The third Spartan is Alice-130. She is still active in the field too. You okay a few mission segments controlling Alice after the first mission too, but you get to experience that better from playing the game which you said you’ll eventually do, so I’ll leave that for you to experience
the 3 spartans are Red Team. In 2531, Red Team was under the leadership of Jerome-092. The team was a three-person unit, comprised of Jerome, Douglas-042 and Alice-130. these 3 spartans are of the same generation as Master Chief, and the far more well known, Blue Team. (for those who are unfamiliar with Halo)
15:12 best speech if ever heard to scream "ooorah" at the end.
I wouldn’t mind seeing some reviews to halo comics and novels to get more up to date on more lore to the franchise
The place at the beginning is Infact the Ark we were on in Halo 3, where they make the rings that chief blew up once more and scorched the center of the Ark some
Spartan 092 is Jerome, one of the three Spartans apart of Red Team (other two are Alice 130 and Douglas 042). They're all Spartan IIs like Master Chief, Blue Team, Jorge (from Halo Reach) which are the best of the best and defiantly most badass.
Spartan Red Team are still in their 20s thanks to cryosleep.
Master Chief is in his 50s now.
Imagine if they reunited in Infinite.
yep, that's an ark. It was first introduced in Halo 3. It harvests metarials from planets and makes Halo rings out of them.
James Cutter: “we may just be one ship-“
Spirit of Fire Crew: *chuckles I’m in danger*
You're absolutely right about the Ark being where they make the Halo rings! It showed up in Halo 3 at the climax.
The setting of Halo Wars 2 is, in fact, Installation 00, AKA the Ark, where the Halo rings are manufactured. And it's from Halo 3.
Halo wars 2 is just when Atriox started to build his fleet.
I think if I'm not mistaken Gideon Emerry who replaced Cutter here also voiced Governor Sloan in Halo 5.
I don't know if someone mentioned it but fun fact: the reason everyone looks different is because in the second game they modeled the characters after actual people. Where as in the first one, it was all just designed. Hence why they did look "generic" in the first game.
Not sure if anyone else has mentioned this, but there's a couple books, mainly Shadows of Reach, that have released since this game that help bridge the gap between it and Halo Infinite.
Halo wars 2 cutscene is more enjoyable than the first one without game play
I'm on board that the AI's are the most fascinating thing in Halo lore.
I really wish they would bring these characters in the future halo games. There’s a scene where Douglas mentions he’s happy to hear John is still in the fight. You should watch the DLC for this as well if you get the chance.
Jerome actually makes that comment, but close enough lol
Let’s be honest here those who played halo wars 1 and two are actually amazing games
Fun fact the spirit of fire is indeed fully self sufficient and even has onboard forges to build and produce any vehicle they have plans for. So Isabel could quite literally upgrade there entire armory.
Also take note. The spirit of fire still has two prototype vehicles that the main unsc force never finished development on. The plasma rhino tank. And the grizzly heavy battle tank.
Both are basically prototypes and still in the spirit of fires data base. So the spirit of fire would have a great shot at supplying ground vehicles. Especially with Isabel providing mantis blue prints and other unsc armor and weapon upgrades.
The only thing the ship can't rebuild is a slip space drove and other highly technical equipment like it.
After they destroyed Atriox's crew, I would have been like "As I suspected...nothing but an overgrown monkey," and just let him simmer with that L.
"Isn't that the place that makes the halo rings?" I grinned at this.
The sprit of fire even during the time of halo infinite is fighting on the ARK holding and waiting for anders to bring help, and the spartan is Jerome-092
