    The fuse bar fix is the perfect example of a MECHANIC vs a parts changer. Anyone can swap a part but a mechanic can solve problems. Well done.

    Easiest blower I’ve ever replaced tbh. I was having weird squeaky whiney sounds at very low speeds on my 2017 .. I tried to lube it a little and it didn’t work so I just replaced it.. probably would have kept going but the noise just drove me insane. Was a pretty expensive part at Toyota but putting it in.. not a problem at all!

    Well done! My first thought after seeing the fuse bar-thingy ( like nothing i’ve seen anywhere before) was to move the wire under the box to one of the unused fuse pins. I’m guessing getting to the wire underside of the fuse box would be a challenge.

      Evidently all of these fuse assemblies aren't all simply "plugged in". The hole in the spade connector actually serves a purpose on my 2012 Camry. There is a small pinch bolt that goes through and secures the connection. The fuse assembly will not release until the bolt is removed. To access the bolt, rather than disassemble the entire fuse box, I drilled a hole through the side of the box and removed the bolt. The fuse assembly lifted right out. After installing the new assembly, I put some black cloth type electrical tape over the hole. Easy enough.

    • @RustBeltAuto

      Banging on the dash is a diagnostic skill, not a fix. You probably have a bad connection. Wiggle test will find that, or the motor is no good.

    All you gotta do is solder the busted fuse to the one thats working and plug it back in. This will create a jump over to the working fuse allowing it be the new fuse.

    I need to know the part number to the resistor motor blower for a 2014.5 Toyota Camry xle. Can u please help? Where can I find that info. Also for the blower itself.

    • @RustBeltAuto
      @RustBeltAuto  Před rokem +1

      The resistor is in the motor on these. There are many different brands of aftermarket blowers for this. If you want a factory one, call the dealer, and get a part number from them. Ebay, amazon, rock auto, etc. All have these.

      One more thing. I changed the cabin filter and the air started blowing thru the vents, I was so exited. But when I turned the car off the same problem occurred. No air coming thru vents. I tapped the area underneath the blower motor and then I hear it start and the ac (air ) comes on . So everytime the air doesn’t come on I kick a tap under the blower motor What can be the problem.
      Been raining so much here in CA need this fixed. When I have no air my windshield gets so fogged up and I open my windows to help. I need to fix Z

  • @Jasonpmc78-wm3xu
    @Jasonpmc78-wm3xu Před 3 měsíci

    If you just changed the blower motor wouldn't that fix the problem ? The resistor is built in the newer motor itself.
    Now if you wanted a strong amp fuse I could understand that ya know.
    Just asking before I do all of this .
    Thanks

    • @RustBeltAuto
      @RustBeltAuto  Před 3 měsíci

      The resistor is in the blower on this vehicle I think. Fuses are usually twice the amperage of whatever you are using. It's best to use the same amp fuse. Hope this answers your questions.
