RV: Hydraulic Hose Replacement

  • Are your hoses leaking? Are your hydraulic stands not supporting your RV? In this video, I will be going over how to replace a hydraulic hose connected to a hydraulic jack stand on a fifth wheel camper. With some spare time and a few basic tools you can save yourself a trip to the RV service center.

    Nicely done, but one question - after you installed the new line - did you bleed/purge the line or let the Lippert pump deal with the air in the new line? We're looking at needing to replace a few as the outer covering is starting to crack though we have no leaks at this time. I also wondered about installing the new line with some ATF preloaded though that approach may be a bit more messy. Thoughts?

      That's why I recommend extending and cycling the legs half a dozen times. This seemed to work with my rig. Haven't had any issues with it since.
