- Pepes Tow and Plaza Tow rotators work together! I received a call from a customer who couldn't find any tower willing to tackle this job on a Saturday, and decided to help despite being hours away. The description and subsequent pictures made it seem really bad, and I was told it went off the freeway, over a fence, busted the oil pan and down an embankment. The worst part is it was a Prevost bus! These suckers are very very heavy and extra delicate because of how low they are and expensive they are.
I knew I was bringing Castro with me in our newer heavy wrecker to tow the unit away, and thought about using our two trucks for this job. While on the way, I had an idea! Since I'll be passing through Coachella, why not call Trent over at Plaza Tow and ask if he can send his rotator? Two rotators allow for less re-rigging since our booms can rotator and I know they have a lot of experience with these areas.
The plan was set, and Darl from Plaza showed up in their 50ton rotator. The job was easier in some ways than I thought, while also being harder. Darl gave some great tips and together, we got this bus out and onto Castro's tow truck ready to go back towards LA in no time. @@kevingray7917 I hear you on Trent getting his edumacation. LOL As as the editing part goes I follow a few truck drivers who post on a daily basis and do all that from their trucks. Justin from Justtruckin page does that and sometimes when he is waiting to get his trailer loaded does a live feed. His videos are around 30+ minutes.

Just recently found your channel and subscribed, so I’m early on this one. Your willingness to involve Plaza, especially to listen to Darl, and coordinate an excellent recovery speaks highly of your integrity. I will probably come back to this video after a while as I find the armchair “quarterbacks” quite amusing. I’ve lived in your area all my life and figure I’ve logged more than a half million miles over 6 decades, mostly on LA’s freeways. My dad drove a tank truck for Union Oil out of Wilmington. He retired with 35 years and a clean record. No accidents for either of us. Careful, defensive driving does pay off. I’m not sure why this “old lady” finds your videos so fascinating, but thank you for the entertainment.

In my opinion 2 of the 3 best tow companies on CZcams. Always love watching your videos along with plaza towing. Always love seeing the professionalism between 2 companies in the same industry. Left lower side of the rig took a pretty good hit when it went over the curb , but that's fixable !! Hope they didn't tear up the motor when the oil pan was torn out !! See my first question is what wonderful people were leasing that bus! You know it had to be a big name! You can tell that by the fact that they were gone when the recovery came to be. But as always you and Plz towing did a fantastic job! I hope someone got some good footage of that gorgeous sunset!

Dude Sonetics headsets are wicked expensive but worth it! We just got to use another company’s here in Portland doing an airbag and rotator rollover last week. Having great comms(no yelling back and forth) and hearing protection is WORTH IT. My boss immediately ordered a set.

Great work guys, awesome to see both trucks work a job! I’ve seen Ron Pratt tow a bus and it was a nasty job, mainly due to the fact I think the suspension had failed… or something, so getting the under-reach under the bus was initially super tight. But anyways, keep up the great work!

What a challenge. That takes skill and the right equipment. Other companies probably would of tried to pull it forward in neutral instead.
Fantastic teamwork, tough job trying to avoid more damage. The only traffic I saw today was 1 car and 1 truck that I slowed down when I returned 2 three hundred pound calves that escaped from the farm across the road. Made my money in the city and got the hell out of there.

I did heavy towing and recovery back in the ‘80’s and 90’s. Towing companies were spiteful to one another. Good to see cooperation these days. Miss the challenge each job brings. Modern equipment has created exceptional operational possibilities. Love the new “Rotator” equipment.

Great to see you guys have the curtesy and professionalism to ride in the right 2 lanes in your rigs. I see more and more Rigs - even dual trailer Big Rigs out in the number 3 and 4 lanes these days, seems worse after the recent "virus" slow months.
