- I'll show you the easy way to square up a CNC machine, going through the theory so that you can apply this to any type of machine. I'll also show you how to square up a machine without cutting through and wasting a load of material

Wow MakMade, Awesome Video..... Thank You for taking the time to post it.... I just happened to come by your channel and am impressed at how well you explain this!!! I will do this today. Thanks Again!
Thanks Stacey. I'm glad it helped
you solved my problem, thanks
Great. Glad it helped. Enjoy your CNC
Thanks very much, now I know.
Better method is use phytagoran triangle. 3 units on x, 4 units on y should made 5 units between the start and end points. Size of a unit depends on the size of your router.
Great informative video. I would like to see the projects planned for this machine. How capable is it?
Thanks. It's a really capable machine. i've used it to machine through plywood, melamine veneered chipboard and MDF. It's has a working area of 1200mm x 1200mm so can cut half a standard sheet of material.
nice machine mate, where did you get your frame from looks solid
from maker store.com.au. it's a mega solid frame. although the z axis is not so good due to the v wheels. I'm going to change it to a linear rail set up when i get the chance. in fact i'd change them ll to linear bearings. they're much more stable. But that's a job for another day
MakMadeThat how easy is it change linear bearing can u make video bc I want to chnage my desktop one to linear ones
Thanks for doing the video explanation. I'm just finishing up a build that utilized 2" EMT conduit for X and Y axes. It is very robust but I anticipated some gantry racking as it is a belt drive system. I incorporated an above table wire cable and pulley system to mitigate racking. I think your method will really work well in fine tuning my machine. Thanks again!
@@maviisen37 changing to linear bearings is on my todo list (which is only getting larger not smaller!). ill get it up hopefully before the end of the year
@@dalefife9854 Glad to be of help
Does the distance between the 2 2x4's matter?
The larger the distance the better
Nonsense basic trigonometry, pick one side and square of that one , on a bad day it would take 4 min to do
