Way back they didnt even have Beastman females and would steal human women after raids to breed with them something like the goblins from the anime goblin slayer. I guess this was a little bit to brutal for the modern games workshop and so they changed it.
I feel sorry for the hapless schnooks, I mean, Institute personnel who had the bad luck of encountering the Beastmen.

Ironically enough it was after the times of sigmar when the beastmen fully claimed the forests for themselves, before sigmar there were actually tribes living in the forests

I always liked how all the beastmen are based on herbivores (cows, goats, rams etc) but have been given fangs and hunger for flesh.
Like chaos took what animals humans use on farms and turned them against the farmers

I really enjoyed this one. I gave me the sense that the Beast Men were like a nomadic version of the Flesh-Eater Courts from AoS. Nice!
Every man has a beast in him. The only difference between the Beastmen and us is not how they look, but the fact that they embrace their primal nature where others would simply hide it.
And that they are born from chaos.
Imagine a grizzly horror movie where a band of imperial citizens get kidnapped and tortured by beastmen, in the end rescued by a witch hunter with a band of imperial mercenaries.
There s actual another one but usually rare class in the Beastmen call the : Gaves. Gaves are normal human couple give birth to beastman baby. These are specially reward and high rank inside beastman casue they believe they are the gifts from the chaos god

I in the early stages of a warhammer fantasy TTRPG campaign.

Noting that a lot of people seem to be using 2nd edition, but since I don't know any of the editions I went with the most recent one.
â@@TheIfifi Very sensible. I'm not as familiar with 4th as I am with 2nd, but what I've seen looks good. I prefer some aspects of 2nd, but 4th is a definite improvement in areas. I'm glad someone is creating new material for the setting.
2nd is the most popular because it was the one that had the most material produced for it, ran the longest, and all the material is easily found online.
@@stormelemental13 Having played both a fair amount, both editions are great for different reasons. 4th is great, but I feel like it needs a fair amount of house rules to really make work especially with Advantage. It's a bit easier on the players than 2nd Edition, though honestly I do think I prefer 2nd, especially the way Career advancement works.

Tigers are in Ind, wolves are in the Empire. Monkey are in Cathay however

Man, i remamber a time then the beastman lore mentioned that the beastman abduct human women, because there are no "beastwomen", after attacking a town to breed with them back in their crude encampments to make more beastman babys. But GW retconed that out of existence the past few years... I wonder why ^^
Its still canon along with the norscans leaving behind bastards from the people who survive the raids, its just not brought up indepth its just meant to be vague so you can be promptly horrified by the creatures of chaos

I did like how 6th went out of its way to point out that in other areas of the world the Beastmen look and act very differently.
That's just not true, they are called beastmen from old world travellers, they are beastmen like skaven are beastmen.

And it's very true - the Beasts of Chaos book in 6th very much did go through the different ways that Beastmen were in different areas of the world.

They do exist 110%. They are called "Doe" and you can get them in the Beastmen campaigns as followers.
They are described as shy and super timid. They even helped a group of human women escape a Warherd once apparently after years of the human women being beaten and raped.
There aren't many of them compared to Beastmen so it's not known how they give birth. Whether a single baby or more likely a litter of some sort
Can one eat a beastmen, like after roasting with rosemary and garlic , pressure cooking with celery and carrots and then simmering for a few hours and saying the holy prayer before eating?

I wonder how the Beastmen view the Warriors of Chaos or the Everchosens of Chaos.
It's basically the meme where the guy is walking with his partner who is pissed because he's checking out another woman. (The guy being the chaos gods.)
I would guess the more human the warrior of chaos look tye more the Beastmen would hate them.
Ultimately I would think they would some what tolerate eachother or at the gery least not slaughter eachother more times than not since they are both servants of chaos and the Beastmen would be able to sense the Chaos on them.
However, if the Warriors of Chaos entered Beastmen forest they woukd be DEAD servants of Chaos or not.
