William offers advice as to how to memorize lines. I'd like to share why it's so effective and more. Your brain is a recording device when learning. Do this; read about three to four lines (3x times), looking at each word, touching the paper. You are learning using three senses- Tactile, Kinesthetic and Auditory. Next, turn over the paper and say the lines verbatim. If you make an error, you need to re-record the lines. Say them 3x times more. After correctly saying the lines, move on to the next set of lines. Using three senses 90% chance to memorize. Using two senses, 60-70% chance to memorize. How do I know this? I'm a Special Education teacher and use this method. It works. I love watching SAG- AFTRA foundation videos!

I used to teach Intro to Acting in high school, and that is very similar to how I taught kids of all abilities to learn lines.

You know something wrong when there's only 23 comments here. Macy is an amazing actor.

I don't know how hard it would be to get the rights to do this, but I'd be thrilled to be able to have this and other SAG conversations on DVD. Even if SAG could only afford to sell burned DVDs because of the probably limited audience, I'd love to have a copy.

His recommendations. For learning lines is similar to the wah musicians build repetoire. Repeat 10times perfectly the. Move on to next doing the same. With the completion of that go back and do the same phrase by phrase (for musicians). Complete each 10X perfectly before moving on. Building muscle memory. Theres many ways to learn, everyone will find the best fit for them.😊

William Macy helped Fiona out the door in the 9th season of “Shameless” . . He is the undisputed star of the series. She was upset about her paycheck being less than his when she worked longer and harder. He fueled the flames and Bingo! No more Fiona. The show went two more seasons and folks barely remember her name. Emmy who? Frank Gallagher is the winner and new champion.

It’s a year later, and I STILL NEED you to know how wrong you are. Shows over and everyone ACTUALLY EVERYONE wanted her back. Doesn’t negate Williams work or talent in anyway saying that your wrong, they’re both valued actors to their respective shows. Stay off comments of your going to act ignorant man

Is he as good of an actor as he pretends to be?
