Lustrolite is the perfect replacement for tiles and looks like painted back glass. Lustrolite panels feature a special hard coated top layer for extra scatch and chemical resistance. Lustrolite panels are extremely versatile and can fit straight over new or existing wall finishes (including tiles). They can be cut and drilled with normal power tools (circular saws, jigsaws, electric planer etc.). Lustrolite panels are unaffected by moisture. Larger panel sizes eliminate the need for grout which can also improve hygiene in kitchen and bathroom areas. The scratch resistant features of the outer surface on Lustrolite panels will not scratch, crack, warp, stain or discolour from normal residential use. While Lustrolite acrylic panels cannot be used behind gas cooktops (and must be a minimum of 50mm away from ceramic, electric or induction cooktops), the brand also offers colour matched toughened glass which are perfect and safe to use as a kitchen splash-back. Lustrolite is very easy to keep clean using warm soapy water and a micro-fibre cloth, chamois, or squeegee. The hygienic, non-stick surface ensures that Lustrolite panels will not harbor the build up of mould, bacteria, soap or calcium.
